    1. How did you calculate steering ratio?
    2. How did you calculate lock to lock angle because 0.83 means around 48° that means inner wheel lock angle right?
    3. You mentioned track width two times in Ackerman value but you used two different values for that is it between tyre to tyre and then pivot to pivot?

      It's inner angle in radian... You can check

      Ackermann and oversteer ( eventually if look then our engine which is max load is at the back side and that's why slip angle generated in the rear tire is more than the front tire so we will satify oversteer condition any how. )

      Perfect Ackermann is required in maneuverability event.

      your angle is in deg which should be converted in to radian then divide rack travel by that radian value.

    1. As u have mentioned that inner angle is 48 degree, but if inner angle is more than 44 degrees than wheel lock will be happend na sir.
    2. While formulating turning radius u mentioned that wheel base upon sine , but while calculating u have used tan. Which component is correct???

    hi, is there any calculations for the turning radius for the vehicle without a differential this ackerman calculation is done considering the differential effect in the rear wheel, but in BAJA the vehicle is always in understeer condition due to same torque inside and outside?

      Rack travel that you have to decide and lock to lock turns * 360 = lock to lock angle

      Pivot points are those where your tie rods are pivoted to knuckle
