    I was having so much trouble with my Cuttlebug, I think it's wore out, but I had bought the big kick on sale and thank goodness I have it....Your tutorial is AWESOME. I just bought a QuicKutz doily die and with your instructions, I finally got it to work.....thank you so so so much. TFS, ~Sharon~ :)

    Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! I was on the verge of sending my Vintaj back to Amazon (I had sent a Cuttlebug back the week before). I really appreciate your video showing how to cut thin dies with this machine!!! I am very happy with my purchase now!

    Thanks so much for this tutorial. I just purchased thin dies today and got frustrated that my vintaj didn't apply enough pressure to make impressions. Now I will have hours of fun of embossing, making cut outs etc. This is beyond helpful!

    Thank you for showing me how to use the does in here they don’t sale the solo wafer thin anymore so I couldn’t cut my thinlits your a life saber and I had no clue how to emboss after cutting yay! I learned something new thank you!!

    Thanks Bree, I got my cuttlebug C plate and others could use a mouse pad instead of a second mat for embossing. That's what works for me and I didn't need to buy another embossing pad.

    Thank you so much! I just got my vintaj thinking it would be the same as the big shot. I went and watched a half dozen videos before I found yours. They were all concentrating on embossing on metal, but I wanted to be able to use my Spellbinders and other wafer thin dies. I had to laugh when I saw that you were using the Cuttlebug plates. This is my 4th die cutting machine and I wanted something that did not move all over the place when you are using it. It is perfect now!

    TFS Bree! I just got a big shot as gift, so your tutorial was very helpful! I wasn't reading directions from excitement of using lol! I call it crafting ADD...oh do this, oh want to try this, oops think I forgot plate thingy...TY for keeping me on track! hugs, Sunni

    Thank you thank you ! I won some Heartfelt Creations dies and couldn't figure out how to do the sandwich with my Vintaj. The solo adapter wasn't available locally and shipping was as much as the adapter. I was easily able to get the Cricut C Plate and with a coupon however and it works seamlessly !

    OMG I'm so glad I found you and this video. I got one of these on clearance and was having a hard time figuring out how to use other dies in it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. TFS

    Thank you! I bought one of these machines from a friend for $30.00. Now I can make this work but will have to buy plates & mats since I don’t have a Cuddlebug. Thanks again!

    Hi Sunni! You're welcome. I am exactly the opposite. I get something and I immediately read the directions haha. I want to know what it should do and how I can get it to function properly (: Then I get frustrated when it doesn't work how it states it should. I'm so glad this helped you! Talk soon and have a great week! -Brianna

    Thanks for stopping by to comment! Congrats on your Vintaj purchase! I sometimes think that if they made it to our perfect specifications then they wouldn't be able to sell us all the other crap they push on us. That is why we need 10 of everything in different brands because they all function just slightly differently. But gees we sure do need that variety haha. I hope you have a great weekend and talk soon. -Brianna

    I love dress forms they are so beautiful! I know my mind forever goes blank when recording. Never fails on the easy words too haha. I do keep the cardboard from large soda boxes, didn't even think to use that as a shim. I do use them to cut letters and shapes on my cricut. My Joanns has had the Tim Holtz dies on sale for a while but they never seem to get a new shipment. Thanks! They are scary they just kept on throughtout the night. I hope you have a great week and talk soon! - Brianna

    I tried using the cuttlebug die and emboss by itself but needed to place the wafer thin adapter , looks like you didn't need to use one, I hope that was ok

    Purchass a "Solo thin die adaptor" plate. Made specifically to create a sandwich for accommodating Framelits and Thinlits. Use with the Solo Platform & Shim and the solo thin die adaptor plate. Solves the problem.

    I use my magnetic platform and it works great. except I want to cut chipboard and I haven't been able to because I think it's too thick. I am using my old big shot platform to cut chipboard, but I'm trying to sell it and I need to figure out what to use to cut chipboard. have you tried that?

    • @prettypaperthings
      @prettypaperthings 8 років тому

      to clarify, I want to sell the big shot as I now have the new vintaj. but haven't done so because I need it to cut chipboard
