The difference with Turkey is that Morocco epicenter and disaster happened in remote villages in high mountains the roads were blocked, the aftershocks also caused landslides and deaths so you are comparing two different situations.

The Turkish earthquake cannot be compared to the Al Haouz earthquake, the first in the city center and the other in the high mountains of Morocco, as there are logistical difficulties in reaching villages in the mountains.

As a Moroccan who has connections in the affected area, I am shocked at the misinformation in this report! The earthquake situation in the remote villages are far more complex to report about in a 3-minute video! All you did was to blame the government! And criticize on why the process was slow? The roads were utterly blocked and deteriorated by the quake! Having access to remote villages deep in the mountains is only possible via narrow roads, accessible by feet or on a donkey! The military and Moroccan authorities have had control of the situation since the minute the quake occurred, and only later allowed four countries to participate due to international pressure for aid! There are multiple footage on the first days of Moroccan helicopters scouting for stable zones to land in the villages, but barely could find any, given the complex geography of the mountains! I am however shocked at the amount of politicization this earthquake tragedy have had from western media outlets! And no credit to the sacrifice and struggle of both the Moroccan authorities and the people who have exerted all in their power to offer help and rescue to the victims of this tragedy!

So can you explain why a professional armies’ rescue crew was left un-utilized and a volunteer that helped in the turkey earthquake felt the Moroccan response was slow?
I think any country would want a professional army rescue unit to have close to 100% uptime when the offer.
Additionally I feel like your response is sensitive and you are jumping to a negative conclusion. Being neutral I saw this reporting as a single rescue unit getting turned away. I don’t leap to the conclusion that the whole country is the same.

As someone who has been in the scene, I can deliver the true news, since these guys can't. From the first hours of the earthquake, countries proposed to help. Moroccan authorities were still analyzing what was happening and assessing the losses. These analyses were carried out in the first minutes with military drones. Morocco doesn't have a shortage of rescuers, but the authorities faced a significant problem: they couldn't reach some of these villages because the mountains had collapsed onto the roads (the earthquake hit a mountainous area). So, as Moroccan authorities, we wondered how these international rescuers could help in reopening these roads so aid could arrive. That's why Morocco used helicopters to transport Moroccan rescuers, and in just two days, all the roads were opened again to give you an idea the smallest stone that fell in the road could weight more than 50 tons.
Now, let's talk about the international rescuers who arrived with 200 cameras, looking to make a heroic movie. These international rescuers found out that the collapsed houses were made from clay and stones, making it almost impossible to find survivors because no air could get in , it become a body recovering mission. So, there were no dramatic scenes, no movies to be made. It was time for them to go home and let Moroccan rescuers put their bodies in the line to recover bodies.
to give you some info 0 body recovered by international rescuers, they simply can't its too risky and the only ones who are doing it is the Moroccan rescuers and military.
As a Moroccan, I want to say to all the people who want to help these kids who lost their families and homes: donate to the official organizations. This will help more than you might think. For the rescue and body recovering missions the Moroccan authorities and Military are doing a great work you cant beleive where they putting their bodies to bring back dead bodies

Rescue teams arrive with good intentions, it is very common after a disaster for roads and bridges to be out. Simply put, you have to find those who need help and find a way to get there. It may not always be clear who is in charge and all villages may not have checked in with those in charge. After the initial influx, it is on to the next disaster and where help is mostly needed, with rebuilding houses, restoring water systems, access to medical care, and education is s slow process. Disaster preparedness is crucial at the local level as outside help may not arrive quickly.

Furthermore, comparing an earthquake that hits a city with an earthquake that hits deep in the mountains is truly absurd. Local residents reported that hours after the earthquake, they heard helicopters sweeping the area even before sunrise. But the roads are really damaged and it's not a city, here in the mountains there are hundreds of villages that are buried without roads to access them.

The death toll peaked on day 3. That means most of the dead were accounted for within 4 days. There was nothing for international rescuers to do and that’s why the Moroccan government didn’t ask for none of them. This was no similar to the Turkish earthquake were it hit cities with high rises.

This whole article is is 100% politically motivated to attack and denigrate the Amazing work the Moroccan government and its civil society had achieved thus far. Firstly the Turkey earthquake happened in commercial cities that are well connected and accessible as you would expect. Here in Morocco as you can see the earthquake happened in deep remote villages high up in the Atlas Mountains. Roads were completely destroyed due to land slides which the Moroccan military cleared by working night and day drawing on its massive military might to get the job done. Over 50 thousand people died in the Turkey earthquake compared to the 2,900 killed in Morocco. The rescue operation conducted by Morocco was not about numbers but about logistics and accessibility. This was why Morocco did not accept or request much international aid. This is actually evidenced in this video where you can see the blocked roads. Again its about logistics and accessibility. Morocco is a strong and capable country with significant experience and expertise in search and rescue operations. There is always going to be people that suffer because things just aren't happening fast enough and my heart goes out to them because nothing is ever fast enough when it's you in that situation. Everything takes time. The good thing is The Moroccan Government and its King have promised to rebuild everyone's houses and they are working tirelessly to build semi permanent shelters that can defend Against the elements untill work begins on rebuilding houses, schools and communities. Our Beloved Royal Family has never let its people down!! They have been in power for almost 400 years and thats not by accident. They are the glue that holds us Moroccans together, we stand with them and they stand with us. You made this article with only hate in your heart. Moroccan commentators say rescuers cannot access roads because they have been damaged or cut off by landslides.
What a good joke, the truth is that there have never been any tarmac roads, just dusty tracks passable only by donkeys and this is very visible in the videos..
This Morocco that is called "the forgotten Morocco", the useless Morocco was voluntarily abandoned in the Middle Ages but to please the eye of the tourist, the inhabitants are forbidden to build their houses other than in the traditional way with only clay. This leaves no chance of survival in the event of an earthquake because the earth reduced to dust does not leave air pockets for possible survivors, people die from suffocation.

Firstly, these villages have a very small population, and it is not possible to spend large sums of money to build infrastructure for a small number of houses in the high mountains. Secondly, the small number of people who live there are capable of modern construction. They will find it difficult to deliver building materials. The cost of construction there is very high, and their financial capabilities are insufficient. Most of them prefer to build with these materials because they are available.

Comparing Turkey and Morocco in terms of the terrain in which the earthquake occurred is illogical. The area where the earthquake occurred is mountainous in Morocco, and the teams that intervened to rescue are numerous in Morocco. You have only highlighted the Spanish team as if it were Superman.
Here, the credibility of your channel is in disarray, because this broadcast is three days old. The excavation process is still ongoing and is being carried out with deliberate and slow steps, not reckless, because Morocco has experience with earthquakes that occurred in the past in several cities, including Agadir and also Al Hoceima. Therefore, Morocco has not accepted international aid other than the aid of countries. Four: Qatar, the Emirates, as well as Spain and the United States, because if aid is provided, there will be disruptions in exploration. Please, do not establish broadcasting and let things take their course.

False reporting! How does an earthquake in a harsh mountainous terrain be compared to the Turkish incident! Many roads were blocked and deteriorated, and unlocking access to remote villages made the rescue missions more challenging!

Comparing the crisis management skills of Turkey and Morocco isn't entirely fair to Turkey. If Morocco were to face an earthquake of the same scale as Turkey, it could have catastrophic consequences and sent Morocco to dark ages. This comparison is between a country with a 72% literacy rate (Morocco) and Turkey with a 97% literacy rate. Turkey is a powerhouse, while Morocco's economy relies heavily on remittances from its diaspora and tourism. Governance is an oxymoron in Morocco.

First of all, 99% of all recoveries are done (dead and alive people combined. So there is no need for more people/teams. Another point that the western media isn't talking about is that the earthquake completely or partially destroyed more than 6000 villages, and each village is on a different mountain ou side of a mountain. Some of them are only linked by small hiking trails. Also, the majority of the villagers do not want to move from there for different reasons. And 14000 dollars is enough to build one bedroom houses in these areas. Labor is cheap all the paperwork will be provided by the authorities and the architects union so the 14k will be purely to pay for the material. They also get 250 dollars a month per family for a year, which is more than enough to help them get back up.
I don't know if you've ever been to that particular area but the standard of living isn't comparable to anything any westerner could imagine. Also, in Morocco people help, a lot. So for a majority of them they didn't lose their jobs only the capital which easy to replace, especially now that NGOs know what they need. They'll provide cattle and provisions to get back to their daily routine. Now, the big and more difficult project is finding out if the ground beneath the 6000 villages is stable enough to rebuild.
