Thank you for this video! I’m heavily considering getting a 30 gallon saltwater tank. I used to have a 15 gallon nano reef, but it got wiped out by a Texas freeze 😔 So I’m going to try again! But this time without coral!
What is even wrong with corals!? They’re corals that are so easy to keep. Probably you kept a coral that is not hardy. My gps survived my 10 gallon temperature strike. Literally.
Mine is a Red Sea max170 ( 45) 1 yellow Coris 3 clowns frostbite storm and designer I think 1 blue star leopard wrasse 1 Midas blenny 2 mandarines 1 lawnmower blenny
The turth is that it will be hit and miss. 6 lines can be okay, but then turn aggressive as they mature. I do know there are a number of folks who regret adding them long term. The Pink Streaked Wrasse would be a better alternative in the long run.
Good list, but I will disagree with the 6 line wrasse with being a peaceful tankmate for non-wrasses. Not uncommon for them to go rogue when they mature. I think they are best suited for a frag tank where they are the only fish and perform pest removal services. There are some folks who get lucky enough to get one that gets along well in a community though.
Hey man, love your vids. If I got a mandarin for my 20 gallon, how often do you think I’d need to dump in a bottle of those tigger pods? The one I’m interested in is conditioned to also eat prepared foods but am curious about the copepods just in case
@@BrockLeonard Every one that I has even had in the last 15 - 20 years has been very territorial after getting settled in. So much so that one of them almost killed a purple tang that was added about a year after the six line.
I’ve had a mix of friendly and aggressive. I usually get them small and trade them out once they get too big for my tank. Usually keep them for about a year before I trade them. I’ve had 2 that were absolute terrors. One I couldn’t keep since he was picking on my clowns that were double his size. He had them away from the rocks and hiding by the filter within hrs of adding it
@@BrockLeonard I was gone on vacation, and it spiked my ammonia and it ended up wiping the entire half my tank. Rock stabilization is a key with these fish. I just don't want anyone else to go through what I did.

Awesome video I look forward to seeing your video of your top 10 fora 94 gallon with bubble algae
Solid idea!
I keep misreading the channel as 'Brock Lesnar'
I get that a lot 😂
Would the wrasse be okay with a Royal gamma? My Gramma can get territorial but never causes damage just chases during feeding time.
Yes!!

If the filter is hanging on the back then how is it taking up room in the tank 🤔 😁
Haha I build my rock structures high so they can run into the over flow that sits in it
“Sixline wrasse is not territorial”, lmao
Yours been aggressive?😂

@@BrockLeonard yw!!
Will the 6 line wrass kill blue legged hermit crab
No,6 lines will decimate copepods, dinos, any kinda micro invert, but hermits might get picked on,but not killed
I’m planning to get a 30 gallon soon!
I have never been happier about my 10 gallon!
Everything is perfect and nothing had die yet in 5 months
My blue dotted jaw fish died because the rocks collapsed on him. be careful.
Dang! That is heart breaking
