This song is spectacular musically--the melodies are infectious, the energy is palpable, the construction is dynamic, and the blend of melody/screaming is perfect. But man, the lyrics...they are even better! As others have pointed out, this is a poignant (and dare I say prophetic?) indictment of the "faux" culture that exists online and which invades our lives in such imperceptible ways. The call to being "ordinary" and "real" seems obvious, but is a truly counter-cultural act in the present day of the cult of celebrity. Thank you for the powerful reminder!

Really like when bands use an intelligent manipulation of lyrics. From ashes to new's older stuff was great for this. But this song 'you're not the counterfeit that you're portraying' is a great way of wording someone is being fake
