Build is looking great! Hey, I hear you mention using Travertine tile in the pool area quite often and thought I'd give my 2-cents on the product. I'm here in Tucson Arizona and the house we're renting has Travertine tile for the small landing outside the front door, those tiles get blazing hot from the sun beating on them - winter or summer doesn't matter, if the sun's rays hit the tile for an extended period, the heat they hold will sear your feet! So much so that we have to leave a mat on that tile for the dog, as he can't stand there for more than a second or two while at the door waiting to come inside, and when it rains, those tiles become a slippery trap of falls! But lots of people love them and don't mind their heat absorption or slip factor, saying it's comparable to all other tile ...but, we do things to the extreme here in Arizona, searing flesh is just part of the desert experience! Perhaps test a few, see what you think. Project is coming along nicely - good luck!

The videographer and director have certainly got a winner on their hands with this one. The way the video captures the essence of the music and brings it to life is simply outstanding. The opening in darkness video looked straight out of Jurassic Park - intense anticipation - I expected a T-Rex to burst on the scene at any moment! Then, I remembered that Chris took the 220 off site so - no T-Rex. Still an awesome 'rare' look into early morning work.
Harbor Freight has these single 'bulb' 4' led shop lights for under $20 during parking lot sales. I use 3 to light the driveway when I'm working on cars, but you can strap them to poles, ladders, scafolding, light stands, etc for lighting large areas
Awesome progress! From the comfort of my chair sipping my tea, and with my need to interject unsolicited advice (because that’s what the internet is for 😂)…IMO you should stack more ICF. Coming along nice Geoff! That pumproom is going the hold back the sound incredibly well. Kudos to whoever cooked that idea up! Your missing concrete is due to using excavated forms. But then you'd have the cost of labor to set solid forms, the cost of the form material, and the cost of tearing down the forms. It boils down to what costs less, solid staked forms vs a little extra concrete. Can't wait to see what's next.

The shadows from the lights showed all the imperfections, and I troweled, and troweled, and troweled, upset at the “trowel lines”, which would not go away. Later that day, after the sun had come up, it turned out that it was one of the best finishes I had done up to that point, the trowel marks where simply shadows, and not lines or marks at all!
I watch every video Mr. B, and I gotta say what a step you made here. IDK why, but the place looks completely different. Congrats to you and ALL the hard working guys that have been with you during this project. Keep it up and thanks for the great video footage.

I've been on many overnight pours. I build bridges and the deck has to be in a certain temperature range. So summer time we do a lot of overnight early mornings
Those are some seriously thick pours on those footers just for a retaining wall. It is not like they are two stories high. You sure you don't have Yankee engineers planning for Alaska weather? I have seen taller walls up in Indiana with pre cast dominoes stacked by DP holding back a lot more dirt than that and Mr. Dig in Georgia makes and sells those pre cast blocks too. Also a question: What goes on top of the theater? And does the driveway still go over that last bit of pour still? So many changes from the beginning I am starting to get confused. Oh well, sure looking good there Geoff.
Only reason I noticed was because my ACI certification. I did see many vids back where the mix was being tested and core samples made. Great build, looking forward to seeing the end product. If you ever need 3D drawings of your builds look me up.

Did you put waterproof agent in your concrete for your deck pours ? Also Jeff please vibrate all your concrete,please don’t pour your house floors without having the right vibrator (size wise ) sorry to sound bossy but have had 50 years in construction,go well young man well done taking on a project like this

I did a 2 liter concrete pour the other day to fix a chunk missing from the sidewalk. Doing colored stone this week and didn't want it messing up my line.
How much deflection did you have with the super floor? I saw a similar system a few weeks ago but it had a slight upward curve so that once the weight of the concrete was on it you had a level surface.

We did a 75 yard concrete job at my home when we built it and it was 105* that day. You remember those days so well.

That’s what this system does as well. I’ll try to remember to get some inside shots in the next video.
