    At 4:10 you should screw each spoke nut of the same amount of turns ( 5 to begin and then 5+3+2+1, etc... ) to avoid the wheel rim to "jump" up and down wich is the most difficult in lacing a rim.

      @@EVCustoms Hey there EV, is that rear hub motor equipped with a coaster brake? All the rear hub conversion vids I see they are installing with derailleur setup on 1 3/4" wide mountain bike wheel. I have a nice new beach cruiser I want to put hub motor(s) on and it's wheels 2.125wide. I don't see them on Amazon... will I have to re-spoke the wheel like you did w fat wheel??? and will I have to install hand brake? TY

    This bike is almost perfect. It was very easy to assemble. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx2YFGCCEkXKgqCOH-7vlvgb4L4hg4IrXI The fit was great as well. I am 5'11" and 160 lbs with a longer torso and rather shorter legs, and 55cm is a perfect fit. Every component seems to be pretty decent and durable except the rear wheel. It was a bit lob-sided and also the freewheel component is either missing a ball bearing or under lubricated, which prevents the wheel from rotating freely. Because of that, it requires more pedaling and also climbing hills a lot harder than expected. Other than the back wheel, I like everything else about it. Affordable and well-built.** UPDATE **It turns out the sound was caused by the tight chain tension. Once I loosen it up by moving the backwheel a tad bit closer to the crankset, the sound went away.

    What is the capacity of a lithium cell used. why didn't you use temperature sensors on charging cells to help the charge controller, it's advisable to cover the drive chain and lubricated it with grease to last longer. cabling can be drawn through the tubing if you considered more. you should have end this video with a test ride too. good luck with your future carrier ☘

    We purchased this Vivi 27.5” electric bike and a Tentaquil 26” electric bike for our 13 and 14 year olds. ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxUiL0GnyDjP32RJdd660sP8mZk4CRLTCJ The Vivi was much easier to put together. With the Vivi, there was a video link to assist with assembly which made the process easier to follow (we did put the handlebars on upside down, but it was a quick and easy fix). With the Tentaquil, the assembly was not as simple to follow, but after we messaged the company for an assembly video, it was easier and they did respond quickly. The other major differences were that the Vivi has a grip throttle on the right handle (like a motorcycle) and the Tentaquil has a push throttle that you use your thumb to activate. The monitors were also different, so if you’re looking for something specific in terms of changing the bikes functions, pay attention to what the monitor offers. We were really impressed with the overall quality and functionality of both bikes, but if you’re looking for more power and an easier assembly, definitely go with the Vivi!

    Of course screwing each spoke nut of the same amout of turns takes some time but it's a gain comparing to the time of truing the entire wheel rim by acting on ALL the spokes nuts. To simplify ou can eventually screw every spoke nut at the limit to see the threads disapearing into the nuts to begin the procedure and then +3+2+1, etc... This won't give you a perfect wheel but at the globality you will "just" have to act on 3 or 4 spokes only to correct each lateral movements and also I have to say that the final bike if very gooooooooood.

    • @electricbikeretrovintage
      @electricbikeretrovintage 2 роки тому

      No screwing each spoke nut of the same amount of turns doesn't make it true. It is the tension that make it true not the amount of turns. You can have one extremely tight to screw with low tension and another one easy to screw with high tension. You need a tensioner tester and set them all with the same tension.

    • @philippejoseph8604
      @philippejoseph8604 2 роки тому +1

      @@electricbikeretrovintage : Yes but as I explained "This won't give you a perfect wheel but at the GLOBALITY ...."
      This method will avoid the "jump effect" up and down that oblige you to act on each of the 36, 32, 20 or other total quantity of the spokes.
      If your rim is new and perfect then you will have to finalize the truing by acting on 3 or 4 spokes to eliminate the lateral setting.

    • @philippejoseph8604
      @philippejoseph8604 2 роки тому

      @@electricbikeretrovintage : In addition, with a spoke tensioner you can be well tensioned but with an incorrect length.

    • @electricbikeretrovintage
      @electricbikeretrovintage 2 роки тому

      @@philippejoseph8604 I understand. Your method is a lazy one. You want to avoid act on each one. I set every spoke one by one with the tension testing tool. My bike has 3 motor and 3 sometimes 4 battery and 165lbs. There is a clic noise that appear sometimes so I have to retruing the front wheel frequently because of the work load put on it.

    Hi, First of all, please excuse my English.
    Now I gonna explain the problem to you :
    I have an electric scooter SPEEDWAY LEGER LITE
    when I put it on a chair and I activate the accelerator to make it run without anyone on it for a few minutes everything works fine, but when I'm on it, it rolls a few meters, it suddenly brakes and stops moving forward, it looks like the brake is activated on its own, the first time it happened I wasn't expecting it and it's really scary because I was driving at 35 km/h, I almost fell, I was very scared and and when I came to my senses, I wanted to hit the road again by activating the accelerator nothing does not happen, it did not want to move and when I push it, it looks like the rear wheel(motor wheel) is semi-locked, I manage to push it but with difficulty, I have to turn it off and turn it on, now the rear wheel(motor wheel) is unlocked and when I activate the accelerator again it starts and rolls but
    It will do again the same thing I described above, therefore impossible to use it normally since it stops every time when I want to ride with it
    Hope you can help me solve this problem.
    Thank you in advance for the help you are going to give me.
    PS: I changed the batterie with a new one, but same problème

    Why do you not show the mounting of the rear wheel?

    If the controllers has low/hi brake whats the point of still having a rear disk ?

      The rear disc acts as a failsafe if something were to ever go wrong with the controller. Better to be safe than sorry.
