Not only that but the musical key is kinda similar to Zero Exception too. Might listen to it again to hear the similarities. It's really pleasuring to realize that every song connects to the HI3 universe 😌
I like the lyrics being Kiana's answer to Sirin's provocation. As in BeFall, Sirin is coaxing Kiana to fall to Honkai influence ("Hear all the voice trapped in Thee"), but Kiana in this song is like "Yeah, no."
Less of a Phoenix and more of a... Lord of Cinder. Yes, this is a Dark Souls reference and I will never apologize for making such a comparison, because it's too perfect. Himeko was the first Lord of Cinder before Kiana relinked the First Flame in her place.
Rubia?? Ik it's technically Hua but Kiana used Sirin's form without Sirin taking over just like in Meteoric Salvation, only it's in an actual fight that produced good results
@@no27455 That’s true, but I kinda think of Rubia about mainly being for Fu Hua instead. I put in Nightglow since it was part of Kiana’s character development songs. Rubia is more so Fu Hua’s character development song in my own opinion but I like your view on it too!
"What is reflected in my eyes, not the moonlight in a starless midnight" "I reach out for the halo far up high" I love how Moonhalo recontextualizes these lines, not just because the name "MoonHalo" Is a direct reference to them, but because of what they represent to Kiana. Before she couldn't see things ending well for her and didn't really have much hope (1st line), and only saw Himeko's spirit as something out of reach that compelled her to pay back her sacrifice (2nd line). However, in MoonHalo we see that Kiana is represented as the moon that reflects the warmth of the sun (a.k.a. Himeko) as she's finally been able to turn Himeko's sacrifice from a source of guilt into a source of strength for her to fight without sacrificing the people she cares about. It really shows just how much she's grown, and I absolutely love it. TetraCalyx is an amazing musical storyteller, man.
I thought the line about the moon showing the warmth of the sun in moon halois a response to Mei. In honkai world diva, they talk about a moon smeared red with blood, as if is bad. Moon halo has lines referring to nightglow, cyberangel, and rubia as well.
They actually hire the highest level of Chinese artists for Honkai's music. Tia Ray is quite a famous Chinese singer. Zhou Shen, who wrote and sang Rubia, is one of the most famous and beloved singers in the modern Chinese music industry. Well, nothing but the best for the company who can afford a nuclear fusion reactor.

I used to despise 3D Animation just due to it looking worse than most video games...but Holy Jesus Mihoyo walks in and says "Hold my Beer" and drops (Will of the Herrscher) and changed my life and thoughts of on 3D Animation forever! The story hasn't ever been good enough so far to deserve them imo. These are usually played when a character almost dies or does trying to save humanity. The closest thing we've really had to that in Genshin is the Osial fight and that was super underwhelming imo.
I think it is unlikely they would use vocal tracks that are similar to Honkai, doesn't really fit the atmosphere or setting imo. But it will fit if the instrumentals were more traditional and classical like a violin and add some vocals. Same reason why you don't hear hard beat drops in Genshin trailers, it doesn't fit the relaxing exploration feel of the game. The closest we got to EDM tracks was Zhongli's The Listener and even it was sooo calm. So they might do a vocal OST but with different instruments, different from Honkai Impact 3rd...
Also the entire loreof this game is inspired by evangelion, i mean it becomes pretty obvious if you know they call the disasters there random no."impact"

I think they have to finish the main story first and right now they’re working on Genshin which is probably why this short took so long to make.

@@al_yuki4628 and hopefully they remove the stealth segment to get ya bumper out of the first town!!!! grah i hate stealth in any game but expecaly free roam type games (can semi tolerate it in honkai cause atleast ya see the sight range in it but not so in genshin and is main reason why i stoped playing it)
The story hasn't ever been good enough so far to deserve them imo. These are usually played when a character almost dies or does trying to save humanity. The closest thing we've really had to that in Genshin is the Osial fight and that was super underwhelming imo.

I think it is unlikely they would use vocal tracks that are similar to Honkai, doesn't really fit the atmosphere or setting imo. But it will fit if the instrumentals were more traditional and classical like a violin and add some vocals. Same reason why you don't hear hard beat drops in Genshin trailers, it doesn't fit the relaxing exploration feel of the game. The closest we got to EDM tracks was Zhongli's The Listener and even it was sooo calm. So they might do a vocal OST but with different instruments, different from Honkai Impact 3rd...
