Fast as lightning! I think Eagle Claw is one of the few styles that still has the real, ancient essence of Kung Fu, as displayed on Chinese legends and movies.
I'm aware that "Wushu = martial arts". I used it, as it IS a common term for MODERN chinese martial arts, after the ban of traditional MA in China. And I never critisized his skill as a martial artist, there's no need to be immature. All I'm pointing out is that this isn't Ying Jow Pai, it just imitates the "look" of an eagle.
Hnn, aren't the animal styles SUPPOSE to imitate the 'look' and spirit of their corresponding animals in the first place? I think a few people are too hung up on what is 'traditional' and what is 'modern' to really concentrate on learning what is there in front of them. This might not be as 'traditional' as one might like but denying that it is 'genuine' Eagle Claw because of it... 'Eagle Claw' is a label given to a series of specific momvements - performed fast or slow - the art depends on you.

If anything, modern wushu is better than traditional. With traditional - so called traditional - you get weak forms plus really weak applications, and they call thay better. There again, I'm talking what passes for traditional these days - not the real traditional of past times. My coach, who had a foot in both camps, said that at the highest level, there is no difference - it's all aspects of one art.
