I am a hard core fan of T.R.Mali. having listened to many performances of his best years,; and having been waiting to hear a similar exposition from any other flutist .Sri.Sruthi Sagar's performance today makes me optimistic. Long karvais and long pauses were characteristic of Mali, and Sruthu Sagar proved today that he too can do that.I am 94 years old, and am getting tired of the fast paced music of these days and meaningless kalpana swaras, and achingto hear a wholesome performance, and Sruthi Sagar's performance has given me hope. May God bless with a long life and glorious music

Normally flute learners have no patience and try to master speed in the beginning itself. Shruthi Sagar is little different in his style of playing and presenting required gamaks as well selection of the KAlapramanam for the song and different from others.
I am an ardent fan of Shruthi Sagar.
His play of Swara Jathi Kamakshi Amba in Bhairavi is proof for his control on Layam & Gathi for the song.
