It is absolutely clear this happened after the Sabbath hours...

Mary would have NEVER bought spices on Shabbat. Period. This teaching is false.
I think you'll find he said on 'Saturday night' which is after sunset, so after Shabbat.
He did say they bought spice's Saturday night. It's actually said at least three times.
