As an entirely new (mechanically speaking) player to FGs in general, and with Strive being the first one I've actually got my hands on, I actually find Goldlewis to be on the much more accessible scale than people make him out to be. He's a high health brute that still retains _some_ movement and having halfcircle motion inputs that feel intuitive is actually quite pleasant, and having somewhat limited defensive options really forces you to learn at least basic defensive play against blockstrings, but also how to invert a bad scenario and bully the opponent back into the corner for funny wallbounces that do 60% of their health.
Based on another video I saw, Goldlewis Behemoth typhoon moveset is apparently a really unique and new playstyle in FG's in general. So veterans have a harder time getting into him due to the different playstyle he presents. And most veterans already have a main from the base game anyways at that point, so Goldlewis and other dlc characters will have less players jumping to them once they arrive.
The editing is just top notch, and I haven't been playing much of GGST, this video alone has solidified goldlewis as my favorite characters ever. I can't get enough of him and keep wanting to play and learn as much as I can to be a good goldlewis. Great job on the video and editing it is such a solid guide! From your video "you can't escape" with goldlewis soaring in with behemoth typhoon I couldn't stop laughing and spent hours already trying to learn that so I can mess with my friends! I am hyped to see what part 2 has in store for us!
This was both hilarious and informative. I love my boy Goldlewis but even when I've been playing him as my main for almost a year, I still learned the potential of some of the normals Y keep avoiding. Great guide, I'd love to see parts 2 and 3!
This editing was awesome, guide was super concise. Looking forward to Part 2 for sure. Only thing I have to add, is timestamps for moves. Makes it easier to refer to.
i just watch sajam for strive; hell, I dont even play strive but this video was such a blast to watch with the editing and how information was presented that i sat through the whole thing anyway awesome vid!
this video is great and makes me want to try him out nowwww!!!!! i do have some suggestions though about the video (if you care at all). if you are going to time the information/text on screen with the rhythm/beat of the song you should make it appear for longer. a good rule for it is that the text should be remain there long enough so you can read it twice. another is that it should be smaller. there is a safe area/space where text should be placed on the video in order for the viewer to not have to move their eyes as much to get the same information but faster. i think if you look up something like """text safe area video edting""" it will come up on images or helpful vidoes describing it better than i can. again great video, keep them coming
As a Gio main, I love season 2 Goldlewis. In order to run my gameplan, I have to be in his effective range while being aware that one mistake will kill me. I always thought that getting to actually play in a match was overrated anyways.
Honestly I just kinda winged it the entire way through. But if i had a method It would be, write a script (or an outline) on each and every buttons strengths and weaknesses and brainstorm ways to make it entertaining, as well as informative when I'm actually making the video.
I don't understand, am I playing him wrong if I just spam minigun to enemy's heart attack? I mean, if enemy's getting close enough to me, I just toss him to the other part of screen and repeat my minigun shooting exercises... Thanks anyway, maybe I just need to actually learn how to play...
I'm like brand new to guilty gear strive but I have some fighting game backgrounds should I play goldlewis or pick another easier character and come back to him?
Super glad I was able to work on the thumbnail, it was a lot of fun!
when we getting part 2?

1:39 Ayo, Ram is rocking that drip, my guy.
5:35 I need this as a meme template so bad, Goldlewis screaming into the void like that has me laughing harder than I should
THIS VIDEO SIS ONGOOD
You can be proud of this video, probably one of the most well edited pieces in the guilty gear content creation area
I've been maining Goldlewis basically since he came out and it feels so good to see him get buffed so much.
I've watched this video so much that The Crowd Goes Home feels like Goldlewis' secondary theme to me now.
Brother i am dying, best video i've ever seen in months
I am surprised for the good quality of your content for someone with only like 200 subs, also, subscribed
Your editing is great man, you deserve way more subs.
You, my friend, have just earned my sub. I am taking notes and cracking up
By far the most entertaining guide i've ever seen

I loved the editing, great work 👌
Love the video. I 100% agree with j.P being underrated. It’s my go-to for those pesky Megafist spammers :}
definitely need more videos like this. what an absolutely entertaining way to explain a character, i feel like i learned so much.

One of the highest quality guides I've seen. Hope to see more in the future.
This editing was awesome, guide was super concise. Looking forward to Part 2 for sure. Only thing I have to add, is timestamps for moves. Makes it easier to refer to.
I completely forgot to add timestamps. Thank you for reminding me, they have been added now!
i just watch sajam for strive; hell, I dont even play strive but this video was such a blast to watch with the editing and how information was presented that i sat through the whole thing anyway

This one video helped me see the glory of this Texan ranger who I think is the descendant of chuck Noris and can’t wait for part 2
this video is great and makes me want to try him out nowwww!!!!! i do have some suggestions though about the video (if you care at all).

again great video, keep them coming
This is the funniest video Ive ever bore witness too. As a GL main since day 1 I can safely say: This video IS a BIG DEAL
As a Gio main, I love season 2 Goldlewis. In order to run my gameplan, I have to be in his effective range while being aware that one mistake will kill me. I always thought that getting to actually play in a match was overrated anyways.
I'm not that great of a player but I'm gonna use the knowledge you gave me
Btw nice edit and you got my sub
Damn. What a good video. Wish I had this sort of concise, fun guide for other characters I am interested in trying.
Amazing video, I hope we can get more goldlewis guide like this.
Holy shit the editing on this video is superb, the info is so useful and to the point, and it's hilarious. Perfect guide, excellent work man ✌️😎👍
Dude how do you only have 161 subs? this video is top tier (like goldlewis)
One day OOONE day it's gona come , the sweet taste of a part 2, till then we can handle it surely. Keep BTing my fellow GL mains
Just a little longer fellas, I am sure part 2 is gonna drop in any moment any moment any moment any......😥

It’s really funny how you use memes as an opening to talk about the next move. Comedic genius
this was unbelievable informatively entertaining. i have learnt to Fear goldlewis now.
Bro ive been a goldlewis main since he released, i am fucking enjoying watching him rise in popularity. Keep calm and behemoth typhoon brothers!
you funny mang
and very informative me like you
I loved this, especially how in depth it was about each move. I've always been curious how you make these types of videos, any tips?
Honestly I just kinda winged it the entire way through. But if i had a method It would be, write a script (or an outline) on each and every buttons strengths and weaknesses and brainstorm ways to make it entertaining, as well as informative when I'm actually making the video.
Awesome vid though kinda put me into more of a character crisis lol. Hyped for part 2
Sick guide. Thanks :)
i am trash at GGstrive but my goodness this was a hilarious and informative video. great work
this video is great keep it up
I need it I need it I neeeeeeeed it, part 2 and 3 and 4 and 5
Part 2 is going smoothly though there will be a little more time before it comes out. Glad you're looking forward to the next part!
Super tutorials thx! Will you make a video with Goldlewis combos?
Great video man what editing software do you use?
davinci resolve 18, its pretty good for being a free software. I would recommend it even if it did cost money.
God shattering star and Skullgirls ost? Madman
Ok now that season 2 normals are out of the way we can finally talk about season 3 specials
1:10 scared the SHIT out of me, late at night with my front door to my left. What the FUCK
Would love a part 2
In this behemoth typhoon
sending this to my friend who wants to play goldlewis
will send part 2 the moment it comes out
It’s weird that goldlewis is high tier now
Bro if you used voiceover rather than text, that shit would've been fire, it was lit either way tho, had me ballin
I'm like brand new to guilty gear strive but I have some fighting game backgrounds should I play goldlewis or pick another easier character and come back to him?
i would love to know how to play goldlewis part 2
