    Hey TWOWHEELD, just wanted to drop a note and say I've been loving your content. I just bought my first motorcycle at 29.. a 2007 Honda Shadow 750. Your videos give me something to do until i go take my Basic Rider Course, thank you!

    My shadow has the stock sissy bar and I have a round bag attached to it on the back . For road trips I bought a water proof motorcycle backpack that slips over the sissy bar. It worked out really good. My EG has the tour pack and works out really good for putting my lunch box in when I ride to work. Its actually big enough to hold 2 motorcycle helmets and a jacket. It also has a luggage rack on it so I can attach a bag if I need to. I'll be doing my first road trip with it @ the end of August to Durango Colorado for our MC national run.
    On the shadow I almost ran out of gas @ 135 miles. I was able to switch to the Reserve tank while riding down the road 😁.

      Now I see my answer here to my question I asked in your previous comment on the other video. 😂 That sounds like a great upcoming trip! You will like having all that storage when you go an more than a day trip!
      Seems like most get better mileage on their Shadows than I do. I know mine isn’t stock, so I wonder if it’s because of that, or because I like the throttle. 😆

      @@TWOWHEELD on the shadow when riding up hwy 79 to Rapid i was going 75 - 80 mph . Not sure if that makes a difference in fuel mileage and it is stock other than k&n air filter.

    I have a rear rack and a sissy bar on my Shadow. It doesn’t look the best but I bungee cord a backpack to the sissy bar. Then when I go somewhere I’ll take the bag off and carry it with me. I also don’t have lockable bags.

    • @TWOWHEELD
      @TWOWHEELD Рік тому +3

      Sounds like it is a functional setup! I thought about keeping the backpack I was using and attaching to the Sissybar the same way, but then came across this bag and thought it might work better to not have to mess with bungee’s daily. Not having things lockable is always a bit uneasy, but what’s a person to do?! Thanks for your comment and for watching!

    I live in the Canadian Maritimes now, but the two seasons thing applied to my long-time home back in Vancouver as well as here... seems to be a thing.

    Before the UV rays ate my odometer, I would set the tripmeter when I filled up, and when it hit 150 I'd gas up again. Now I just look in the tank every couple of hours ride time and make sure the petcock is on main when i gas up just in case I misjudge or forget.

    • @TWOWHEELD
      @TWOWHEELD Рік тому +2

      That’s pretty good you can go 150 miles. I can’t go that many. Especially now after the carb being a stage 2 and the air box opened up and exhaust. I had about 85 miles this time, but maybe wasn’t full. I usually figure around 100 miles. Thanks for commenting!

      @@TWOWHEELD Bone stock fuel and exhaust systems and judicious use of low end of the power band when hard acceleration isn't needed. It will definitely burn noticeably more if you whack the throttle. 😁

      @deormanrobey892 yeah, and I like to ride hard on the throttle. 😆

    Hello @TWOWHEELD 🙂 timely video. I am going to look at sissy bar bags today, so this gives me a few things to think about. One question, is that bag water resistant? Looks like a great bag!

    • @TWOWHEELD
      @TWOWHEELD Рік тому +3

      Hey Tim, it it not water resistant. That’s the one downfall to this bag. It’s a pretty heavy canvas, but I bet it would soak in.
      Glad you were able to catch it at the right time! Too bad I didn’t get back to you immediately though! 😆

    I can't wait until I have a bike and a setup for riding. I wonder if you could set up a fuel gauge on the shadow so you don't have to guess when you have to fill up?

    • @TWOWHEELD
      @TWOWHEELD Рік тому +2

      I think there are some aftermarket gauges that could be used. I make it work. I just need to pop the gas cap off from time to time to be safe.

      @TWOWHEELD . I took off from home and made it 1/4 mile and the bike died. I was like oh no. switched to reserve and off I went haha. I have an 07 spirit black with flames also. I am not sure how far u can get on reserve tho. I went 3 miles no problem. would be an interesting thing to know. ride safe and cool vids.
