As an old-school Sicilian, it is so sad that none of the youths speak Sicilian. Iu Sugnu Sicilianu per sempre.

It used to be. Now, the young people cannot speak Sicilian, the girls can't cook, the boys don't work, and the kids bully and beat their teachers.

Been there 3 years ago. The old city is interesting, yet crowded and noisy...but apart from that, the city looks dirty, streets are really bad, traffic a nightmare, parking guys asking money for free parking, trash everywhere...people are rather poor...i was dissapointed i couldn' t find any nice beach around...it is a totally different Italy

Palermo has more Arabic features accept it or not it’s the truth the arabs have influenced the Greeks as well the Greeks look Arab because there was a time the Arabs ruled there people once too. The english brothers decided in 1861 to unite the "Mediterranean boot", peoples who were totally different from each other and for the most part happy with their political and economic situation, but through corruption and violence they succeeded in the undertaking. Obviously Garibaldi and his powerful allies were brothers. An English Navy ship was stationed off the coast of Sicily ready to intervene but there was no need. Centralize, centralize under the flag with the colors of the brotherhood. 🇮🇹
