For 22 years this song has been echoing in my soul even though I still don't understand some of the lyrics. Its one of those rare kind of songs which pull everyone's heartstrings irrespective of age, religion, color, caste etc.

This song was released 24 years ago.. but it is so relevant even in 2020. Thank you so much for this song and the vision that was way ahead of its time. This song will be an evergreen hit for generations to come. I was only 11 when I fell in love with this song and it continues to be my favourite especially on a low/ gloomy day this feels like a warm hug!
I had to look for this song this morning i was sleeping when i hear this song in my head, dont know how but the Chorus keep repeating. I must say the way things are going around the world we indeed need our saviour.
Am I the only Filipina who appreciate this song? It's really meaningful and it gives me those unexplainable kind of feelin while listening this song. 😍
I always share to my friends and relatives but I just can't force them to appreciate something. It should be willingness. Anyways I truly appreciate the message of this song it feels really good. 😊😊

Thank you for a beautiful song, I’m a South African Indian female and at the age of eight my dad who is a local singer taught me this song. 29 years later I heard this song by chance today and I was elated at how many beautiful memories this song resurfaced. To date there is so much more relevance globally. Thank you once again🙏🏼

I've never heard someone sings with this much ease...So strong yet so soothing ...Hats off to Hariharan...His voice ...Can't explain... It can lessen your stress...I used to listen to this song almost everyday ...But then there came a gap..And now here I am..Once again for reminiscing those great days , a golden era... { Come back as allaaa, come back for everyone}

The fusion between a centuries old lullaby and modern English message is really clever ... Colonial cousins were real talented fusion artists! Not easy to combine different genres with such ease and the end product coming out great
Ahhhhhh soothing balm always from my beloved Indian family, dhanyovad, dhanyovad, dhanyovad I bow to the guru in you, I feel such peace in these notes. And the reclamation of the colonialists (where I've had deep difficulties) as cousins, hot tears of joy for my Indian family, God blessings be, thank you all. Thank you to my dear brother Anoop for sharing this with me 🙏
My neighbor used to play this song in the tape recorder, I just came from school and went to his home , That's the first time i encountered Hariharan , Till today I'm following him even not leaving his Ghazals.
It's July 2016. I'm listening to this after the Dallas, Minnesota, Louisiana, Georgia etc attacks on cops and of cops, and the terrorism in Kashmir. And this still resonates! Awaken the peace loving person in yourself and spread the peace. One love everyone.
All the actors in this music video gave a superb performance. It was awarded the best music video when it was released. Amazing 90s.....pure nostalgia, Euphoria, Strings, Instant Karma, Bombay Vikings, Purani Jeans, even DJ Aqeel and Biddus disco.....I could go on and on.......😊😊😊😊
Wow what a combination,of Christian and Hindu religion, well sung, and sooo divine, when the world leaders could understand this meaning there is no need for wars...OHM 🙏
Been hearing this off and on since I was a kid. At 43 yrs of age today this still resonates, still calms me down but also makes me cry, still feels so true and well is so so so so still relevant. Seems like a flash of life spent so far..Beautiful melody with a meaning.
With tears in my eyes playing this song, and remembering a teacher who played this song often on television....sending a clear message for us all . On Christmas morning 2020 ,Mr Reyaz Hussain breathe his last breath, but still will remembered for what he stands for. Rip
During childhood, I didn't know what was this song meant, but loved it for the music. Now, I love it for both the meaning and music of the song...Still sounds so refreshing!
Watched it, listened to it many times in childhood. Tht father son fight n tearful moment later is one which you can relate more when you becomes father one day
I was in my high school when I heard it first. I sang it ever since in school. College. Later with Work mates. Today I played it to my daughter who is 23 months old. And she was very attentive and interested. 🙏🏽 20th Oct 2018. I wish to sing this with her when she could sing a few years later.
First time I heard this song I was in pune; we had an events in college, our director choose this beautiful song, though I barely understand Hindi language. Anyway I'm listen all the way from Africa I love this song I always listen when I'm stressed or feel depressed.
2001. I was going for my 12th coaching classes that I hated, in a local train in Mumbai. And I saw the guy who plays the boy's father, get in to my local train compartment and recognised him from this video's memories. Nostalgia !!
i still have the audio cassette that my father bought when i was a very little kid, been listening to that everyday once. Everyone is equal and everything is forgiven 🙏🙏
Love this ❤ from sri lanka 🇱🇰 What a beautiful timeless song with much deeper meaning and very timely in this day and age.. "religion is the reason everybody fights with one another"
My oh my i grew with this song so i have always been respectfull with religion. They have taught me to be respectful for every religion and i will never forget it.
Dint realise the depth of the song and visuals then as a kid... Now I think and feel that this is one of the best songs of the album... Tq for making such a song... Tq...
Beautiful song, way way ahead of its time, with a social message as relevant (perhaps much more) today as it was back then in post-liberalized India! Thank you Hari and Lez for this wonderful fusion number! May peace and harmony prevail! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
This song is still so relevant. As a child living in peaceful times, it was difficult to imagine the violence into which the boy is dragged into. But I knew as a child that he was being misled by those with vested interests, that he was being used. Violence was considered something shocking and unproductive. I never found anything good in religion based violence as a child. It showed the hollow spirituality of those who called themselves religious. Now decades later, seeing how violence has become a common feature of life and how people are taught to celebrate the violence on other people, I am shocked. Our media reports only on violence. Kids are taught not to love, but to hate in the name of religion.
I have two sons but my elder one who was such a sweet boy turned now to be arrogant, selfish, and careless about life He is 22 now..This song is so personal to me and brings tears to my eyes every time I watch this...hope one day my son also realizes the love of his father and becomes a good man
Same here brother. Those of us who grew up in 90s miss those days.. its even more pathetic now for us as we are compelled to listen to craps of yo yo, atif aslam etc in d name of indi pop music.
Used to listen to this with my dad in his music system with the cassettes around 24 years ago .. I'm only 28 😍😍😍 Unforgettable ! Nothing can replace this ❤️
I"m srilankan 🇱🇰 , i love this song from my child hood 💜️ , As a kid i was hope that if they have include lord budhdha this song would more complete , bt i grew up and became older i admire lord budhdha more and more , with my wisdom i know lord budhdha is more than god , he was god of gods , brahma of brahma , his vision , wisdom and teaching was unmatchble 🙏
Time is the healer

We humans have lost d way
Dese problem will slowly destroy humans consequently other animals and our nature..
What issues did this song portray?
Islam is the problem
Mother earth needs cleansing. And the good thing is we humans are heading towards destruction at a rapid pace. Be it in the name of religion, population growth, pollution, nuclear weapons etc.
@@user-db7om5wu5j its more about what the video conveys.. Educate yourself before u educate ur kids.. They grow by your violent example
The lyrics has so much meaning. Lord should only come and help us all to build a better world!
"...Religion is the reason, the world is breaking up into pieces..." True!

Come back as anyone!!! Religion is the reason the world is breaking up into pieces. Come on Earth the maker of this universe.
I was in my high school when I heard it first. I sang it ever since in school. College. Later with Work mates. Today I played it to my daughter who is 23 months old. And she was very attentive and interested. 🙏🏽 20th Oct 2018. I wish to sing this with her when she could sing a few years later.
Did you sing it with your daughter?
@@sumersharma9534 not yet. I still wish to when she would grow up a bit more. Now she is 4 years old.

2001. I was going for my 12th coaching classes that I hated, in a local train in Mumbai. And I saw the guy who plays the boy's father, get in to my local train compartment and recognised him from this video's memories.
Nostalgia !!

So many comments from SL! Is there any reason so many from SL listen to this song?
This song has been very relevant to every decade so far. These songs remind me of high school and FM radio❤️❤️❤️
Dint realise the depth of the song and visuals then as a kid... Now I think and feel that this is one of the best songs of the album... Tq for making such a song... Tq...
such a beautiful song and such a powerful video..better than any hindi movie from 2015... they don't make em like this anymore... :'(
I would like to dedicate this beautiful masterpiece to the memory of Riaz Hussain.May his soul rest in peace.
Beautiful song, way way ahead of its time, with a social message as relevant (perhaps much more) today as it was back then in post-liberalized India! Thank you Hari and Lez for this wonderful fusion number! May peace and harmony prevail! Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
One of the best songs I've ever heard.

Era bahut se honge...90s jaisa kabhi nahi aa payega❤️🌹🍎🤔
please make this type of fabulous songs again...i miss those days who never comes again...😭😭😭
I have two sons but my elder one who was such a sweet boy turned now to be arrogant, selfish, and careless about life He is 22 now..This song is so personal to me and brings tears to my eyes every time I watch this...hope one day my son also realizes the love of his father and becomes a good man
Don't worry.
I am sure your son will understand your love ❤
I don't know if it's working or not. But, try to give him some responsibilities and tie him to do as it is necessarily.
This song become the need of the hour now!!
I miss the beauty of the Songs made in that Age...
these re beautiful songs..Indie nd western fusion..
Same here brother. Those of us who grew up in 90s miss those days.. its even more pathetic now for us as we are compelled to listen to craps of yo yo, atif aslam etc in d name of indi pop music.
