Thanks Carl! It would be nice to get a comparision between the Swit PB-M98S and the V98 Micro Bebob, and even the Hawk Woods VL-M98, as I believe they are all similar in terms of price and size.
I recently rigged out my EOSr with a cage and rods and follow focus, etc and I’ve been looking for v lock solutions to power my camera and atomos ninjaV all in one and I think this smaller size v lock might just be the perfect solution for a smaller rig like my EOSr. Or even my C200 for that matter
For sure. Can’t wait to look into this. I haven’t seen a lot of other mini options like this that I would trust so I’m glad that a fairly reputable company like SWIT put one out.
If you have a v mount plate with the right power outputs. I have one from tilta that allows me to power my camera via 8V to dummy battery, my monitor via 12V out, my tilta wireless follow focus via Dtap to USB and an second AC monitor via another 12V out and I still have a DTAP and 8V output left So you can power any number of accessories with v mount (or gold mount), you just need to get a plate that fits your needs
@@AlexDelfont I did actually. Solid battery but swapped the monitor for a Portkeys one. Check out Caleb's BMPCC4K rig on DSLR Shooter, it's pretty much the same as my setup except i went Smallrig instead of Tilta. The battery can easily power both monitor and camera.
@@oscara.2636 Thanks, which POrtkeys did you get? I was thinking about the P6. I've also found what seems to be a cheaper and better alternative to this battery, the FXlion Nano One or Two, very similar size probably but more USB ports and better accessories for mounting
@@AlexDelfont I went for the BM5. That way I can control the camera settings without using the main screen. I actually rarely do this since the way I've rigged it means I have easy access to the main screen but still nice to have. It's bright as hell too so good for outdoor shooting.
You can use a DTap splitter, like this one: www.proav.co.uk/shape-sdsc-d-tap-splitter-cable But only if the power draw of your devices are low enough to be covered by one 8A D-Tap port. Carl
Hi Carl! Thank you so much for the review, as always high quality content! I have been so interested on this tiny weenie little battery but was curious to find out from someone that also owns a Kinefinity Mavo LF. At 98 W-hr, how long would it power up a Mavo LF with a KineMON? Thanks in advance, cheers!
ProAV TV Nice video and interesting battery! I plan also to buy such one but I’m still searching for a v-mount plate with several DC outputs and approximatively same dimensions of the battery .... All V-mount plates are +/- 145 mm long
With any normal V-Mount charger. Or actually through D-Tap, SWIT have a nice portable D-Tap charger which is a nice pairing with these: www.proav.co.uk/swit-portable-dual-d-tap-heads-fast-charger It's slow to charge them, but very portable. Carl
Clarification: The battery weights 510 grams, not 910 as stated in the video. Apologies for the confusion.
Carl

Good to see there is an even smaller option.
Great video. This is a great option. Cheaper than the Indi-Pro 24oz battery with the same specs and is 18oz instead of 24!
I like things light (as in weight) - so this battery is definitely in my future!
It makes such a difference!
Carl
Is there any battery plate that will match the height of the set?
Just perfectly perfect i would say. No more airport lugging!

Agreed, mini Vlocks like this are perfect for small camera rigs like that.

Can u power your camera and monitor at the same time with this battery?

Great and helpful content, mate. Surprised you don't get over 100k views. Keep up the awesome work!
We're glad you found it useful!

Correction, I believe it's 6.8Ah power draw. The charger is 8Ah!
can its USB use directly to type C camera such as FX30 or FX3?
really want one of those clear cases lol
Woh just 8x 18650 to get 98wh. That's awesome density.
How much smaller are these compared to the Blueshape Granite Minis? Performance-difference? Thanks!
Could this theoretically power both a Feelworld FW279 and a BMPCC4K at the same time using a D-tap spiltter? If so, I'm buying one today!
Yes that should work fine.
Carl
Hey did you end up getting this battery and powering your motor and P4k? I'm interested in the same setup. Thanks

how would you say it compares to the REDVOLT-V batteries (seems a bit heavier, but I guess longer battery life)
Can you charge this battery on a pro X charger? that is the only charger I have now.
I would really like to get one of those.
Are you able to split the d-tap output to power a camera and a monitor or an EVF simultaneously?

Hello! Will the battery power the Blackmagic 6K Pro Handheld movie camera?
Did you try it ??
Do you know if they would charge on a PAG charger?
Top vid. Does the SWIT PB-M98S fit regular V Lock Plate? Particularly SmallRig 1846 V-lock? Looks to me like it does :)
Glad you found it useful. It will fit any bit of kit that takes a regular V-lock battery, so in short, yes!
Dan
ProAV TV Nice video and interesting battery! I plan also to buy such one but I’m still searching for a v-mount plate with several DC outputs and approximatively same dimensions of the battery .... All V-mount plates are +/- 145 mm long
Does it communicate with Red, Arri and Sony cameras like the Bebob micro v-lock batteries?
Yes it does, so you will get remaining battery percentage in the cameras viewfinder.
Carl
Could this be used with the aputure 120d?
I have p02 error. Please help me
voltage wise, this is the same as a bp u60, is there any difference with the amperage? i haven't found any info on my bp u60
no would be 98 Wat hours
and how do you charge those things?

910g sounds too heavy for a 98wah battery, the 95wah 6800mah battery from juicybox is only 580g.
Checked the b&h, the spec says it's 510g actually. www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1453705-REG/swit_pb_m98s_98wh_pocket_v_mount_battery.html
You are right! Slip of the tongue when filming which didn't get checked while we were editing. My fault sorry. The correct weight is 510 grams!
Carl
For 215 pounds ! Forget it !
