The 9 year old in me LOVES The Mandalorian. The 9 year old in me could care less about Rise Of Skywalker. The 50 year old me knows the difference between good cinema and a cheap, soulless cash grab. Disney has yet to offer up something new, fun, risky or creative in these sequel movies.
I really feel old now lol having been born in 76, I'm a year older than Star Wars. And was, rather appropriately, raised right along with it. 👍😁 (I couldn't imagine it any other way.)
@@Jammet at least the new movies ate actual movies and not just a few dudes and cgi characters walking and talking in front of a green screen. Also....I hate sand....
I grew up with the prequel trilogy and it is what brought me to star wars in the first place. So nice to see Disney cares about it as much with its 1 second tribute to the three films.
I love that JJ said satisfying. Thats the best way to sum up Endgame. It was great and amazing but most of all it was satisfying. I dont think JJ is gonna disappoint
For a second I was a kid again with that internal excitement of getting ready to go see something that would challenge and inspire my imagination of the unknown🤔🤭😱😊.
This franchise has meant so much over the last 21 years of my life. And I’m absolutely going to cry when I go see The Rise of Skywalker. It’s surreal to know this story is ending. The story I’ve loved and obsessed over for two decades is coming to a close. I can’t wait for the day I can share these movies with my kids. I can’t wait to see the ending that J.J. Abrams and his crew have put together for us. It’s going to be epic.
Idk I'm conflicted. real life isn't like that, you rarely get the crew back together again as everyone gets older, you rarely get to say goodbye to your friends when they pass away. But there will always be those great memories and good times. As much as i would have loved to see them all hug like at the end of a new hope :/
I really dislike how Lucasfilm doesn't credit the prequels enough like the original trilogy, I mean, they're equally as important to the saga as the rest, aren't they?
Hardcore fans don’t care much for the prequels and they happened chronologically before the original trilogy so don’t have as much bearing on the later films anyway.
If Disney didn't have to credit any of the of the Lucas made films they wouldn't. But no one would watch these new ones without a heavy reliance on nostalgia
From the first time of seeing A New Hope while eating a polony and sauce sandwich at age 5 to visiting Galaxy’s Edge and seeing Rise of Skywalker at age 35, the Force has always been with me.
?? ?? I was thinking the same thing. I’m ashamed how full of toxicity most Star Wars comments are and I was so happy to see all positivity in something about Star Wars.
@@CarsonD Nostalgia and showing the good times about this franchise is always well received but doesn't change the opinion of many about this trilogy. I'll still check it out when it's finally uploaded online.

weeber Well they finished filming on Sunday for this movie, the test audience walked out on the original first screening, nobody has seen the entire thing from start to finish yet in its current iteration
@@america091397 The less you know, the better. I read them, and while I didn't think they were bad, I hope they were wrong because I don't want to have been spoiled about a conclusion to an epic saga like this. Best advice I can give: STAY AWAY FROM THE COMMENT SECTION UNTIL YOU SEE THE MOVIE
star wars will never end for me
I will always see star wars as the future franchise
Thank you Star Wars for defining my childhood, my adolescence, and now my adulthood. I don't know what I would do without you
emily Star Wars has become an even bigger part of my life the last six years. Maybe more so than as a kid or teen. I’m 27 now
It's beautiful. I started watching Star Wars when I was about 3 years old and ever since my love for it has gotten bigger and bigger. It has shaped and inspired me in so many ways that without it I wouldn't be the same person. Thank you!
Fun isn’t something one considers when realizing that Star Wars is ending...but *this* does put a smile on my face.
It isn't ending.
Bruh
Literally had nostalgia flash through my eyes.
I literally just saw what made my childhood amazing
Yeah? good.
Haha! But it really does bring back memories!
This is the way... 😂
:-D This is the way.
This is the way
YoungWolf yourstruly This is the way
This is like the 4th time they’ve posted a “rise of skywalker” video where it’s not really about the movie but more about a look back at the saga
Lol true
And that's a bad thing?
That should say it all.
It means they already know that The Rise of Skywalker is so bad, they need to play on nostalgia to get people into the theaters to watch it.
It’s sad to see Star Wars go. I really wish these actors were still alive. But, without them, we still enjoy the movies. I personally like all the Star Wars content we’ve been getting. Thank you Star Wars, for bringing me all the content you can
Man Alec Guinness looks like he's having the time of his life in that first clip
@@StevesSon it's called sarcasm dude lol
"We'll fly too close to a store or bounce into a supermarket" 😂
I’m so happy this has gotten a public release. I was balling when I saw it during the Episode IX panel at celebration. This is a bittersweet time....
I can’t imagine what my life would be life without Star Wars it’s a weird feeling trying to think of my life without
I have no idea what or who I would be
thankfully you dont have to.
The skywalker saga is over, but there are so many more stories to tell and that will be told in this franchise.
@@TheNerdDojo we shall see... Don't we?
mickor Disney did bring Star Wars back but I agree sometimes they mess up
The Nerd Dojo I know I hope old republic is one or the hyperspace Wario the Mandalorian War or the era of Reven
Ricardo Garcia we will
Saw this in the cinema, a beautiful love letter to the entire franchise!
Star wars is a family. We may disagree, but pur overall love for this is the force that bonds this whole Galaxy together. Far, far away....
The 7 year old in me can't wait to see how it all ends... the 49 year old me is sad to see it end. All the feels.
Same here as a 37 year old
Same age.
13 and 55. Still excited.
Nothing really ends.....
(I couldn't imagine it any other way.)
That was really nice. Cool to see Mark, Alec, Harrison, and Peter rehearsing a scene.
They’re manipulating you dude. They know their new trilogy is trash so they’re digging into the barrel for things that worked.
Bill Murray from The Man Who Knew Too Little I am aware they’re using this method. Lol. I’m not particularly fond of TLJ.
@@smlshin Oh. My bad.
May the Force be with you, an conclusion to an Space Opera after 42 years in the making, we had an lot of fun watching all the Star Wars movies.
"If this one doesn't work out.. We're sorta finished."
... Those words are once again so true. This is your Last chance Disney. Stick the landing.
They should’ve had more prequel stuff in here
Sracher15 Disney doesn’t like the prequels
Steven Soco *Nope*
@@UnknownUser-gd3ls They sucked almost as bad as these new films.
@@Jammet at least the new movies ate actual movies and not just a few dudes and cgi characters walking and talking in front of a green screen.
Also....I hate sand....
Yeah everybody's wondering: Where's Jar Jar??
no matter what happens in episode 9, star wars will forever be in my heart
Only the Originals and Prequels not the Sequel Trilogy
@@tuftycupid8721 All 9 movies. No gatekeeping
I grew up with the prequel trilogy and it is what brought me to star wars in the first place. So nice to see Disney cares about it as much with its 1 second tribute to the three films.
*This is outrageous, it's unfair! How can you be a Skywalker and not be featured in this?*
“Although I’m leaving the force will be with you always”
-Obi-Wan Kenobi
Battlefront 2 2005 quote?
brandon peate yup
Are you sure you need a jedi of my caliber for this problem?
My younger brother thinks Star Wars is real I can’t show him this video
Sir Alec Guinness’ voice will forever be legendary
Man, the first 10 seconds are much better than the whole new trilogy....
If Carrie Fisher could have been a part of this, could have seen this to the end... she is so missed.
Star wars Will always have a VERY SPECIAL place in my heart WE LOVE YOU GEORGE LUCAS!

"Why on Earth did I agree to sign on to this?! George bribed me with one two many pints that night in Kent."
I love that JJ said satisfying. Thats the best way to sum up Endgame. It was great and amazing but most of all it was satisfying. I dont think JJ is gonna disappoint
VizZzion Rise of Skywalker was just as epic of a finale as Endgame
For a second I was a kid again with that internal excitement of getting ready to go see something that would challenge and inspire my imagination of the unknown🤔🤭😱😊.
I find your lack of prequels disturbing
My guess and hope is that it'll be in the next featurette since this one focused on the OT
I find the lack of quality Disney sequels disturbing lol
@@desertmav8632 had to scratch that itch huh?
The great Ewan was in a couple shots here and there
Its meant to remind people of why they love star wars. Guessing that they dont want people to associate star wars with controversy.
Stuff like this floods me with childhood memories. I can’t wait for this film.
More iconic moments in the original trilogy than any franchise today.
I wish we got this much time with the OT cast together in the new movies :(
Nigel N True but at least Rey Finn and Poe
@@manuelorozco7760 Yeah good thing we got those vapid characters instead lol
MCH1N1 Are you satcastic
Idk I'm conflicted. real life isn't like that, you rarely get the crew back together again as everyone gets older, you rarely get to say goodbye to your friends when they pass away. But there will always be those great memories and good times.
As much as i would have loved to see them all hug like at the end of a new hope :/
T. Crown I feel the same way
I really dislike how Lucasfilm doesn't credit the prequels enough like the original trilogy, I mean, they're equally as important to the saga as the rest, aren't they?
Well not really but neither the sequels
But I did notice the lack of their presence
I agreee
Hardcore fans don’t care much for the prequels and they happened chronologically before the original trilogy so don’t have as much bearing on the later films anyway.
@@abc123fhdi If you're a hardcore fan, shouldn't you care for ALL movies. If not...then what are you a hardcore fan of, really?
If Disney didn't have to credit any of the of the Lucas made films they wouldn't. But no one would watch these new ones without a heavy reliance on nostalgia
I don’t think I’ve ever wanted a movie to be good so badly. I’m crossing my fingers
Thank you Disney for keeping star wars alive.
jeremy moviefan Happy May 4th
Thank you Disney for ruining the franchise
From the first time of seeing A New Hope while eating a polony and sauce sandwich at age 5 to visiting Galaxy’s Edge and seeing Rise of Skywalker at age 35, the Force has always been with me.
Finally some positivity about Star Wars again! Look how positive these comments are! Thank you, George Lucus. Even for Jar Jar.
Imagine Jar Jar never happened though, it would have made the pallette of main characters less interesting in these movies.
I can't thank him for Jar Jar but I can thank him for everything else

I spotted Ewan McGregor in the video at 1:46 and 2:45.
Looks like this is an extended version of what we saw in the opening panel of Episode IX at Star Wars Celebration.
