@TheOutroDistinto1 My name is Ron Ryan and 'The Riot Squad' was my Band and I wrote the song (although our Manager Larry Page put his name on it as the writer), and it's me singing on this track. The Riot Squad was a great band, and had one of the very best drummers in the UK 'Mitch Mitchell'.
Hi Ron, this is a long shot... but do you know how I could get hold of a video or any other material from the early days of the Riot Squad? I'm looking for my dad - Mike Martin
@@lauranakano6441 Hello Laura, sorry can't help you there as far as I know there there is not much if any (apart from the records) material such as video's etc around. Please give my regards to your Dad, Ron.
@@ronvonryan Hi Ron, thank you for letting me know. We found an Anytime record a while ago, as my dad didn't keep anything from those days. He only gave up playing in bands (as a hobby) a few years back. I hope you are keeping safe. Laura
@@lauranakano6441 Hello Laura, to be fair to your Dad there wan'st much to keep from those days, only memories. Let me explain, back then we did not have mobile phones that you could take photos of what you were doing, and take selfies of yourself next to people like Tom Jones etc they we were rubbing shoulders with every day. The times your dad and I went through were the best, and I know he enjoyed it. Please give him my kind regards.
Ha, ha, nice one Chris!!! by the way have you heard 'That's alright', it's a song I wrote and we recorded at Abbey Road Studios with the Band (The Blue Aces) I was with at the time in the Sixties after I had left the Riot Squad. It has recently been covered by an Irish Punk Band called 'The Radiators from outer space' (great name), I think it's on youtube somewhere, cheers, Ron.
Hi Ron! What a wonderful song! Timeless! Your incredible voice, the very strong composition and arrangement! Great band! and yes Mitchell was a fantastic drummer! You can imagine my happiness for your visit in the channel! Is there any other favorite song for you?I'll make a video.Just tell me. You're welcome ''Anytime'' in the channel! hahaha! Happy New Year and peace in the world! Giorgos
Ron....that song "It's Alright" by The Blue Aces is shit hot mate. I have long thought it is a lost gem of British 60's music. Its quality from start to finish! I especially like the guitar lead on it....which makes it a bit different from the norm.
@TheOutroDistinto1 Yes I am, if you go on the net and type in Ron Ryan it will take you to my website where there are many of my songs, also on you tube just type in Ron Ryan and I have quite a few videos on there of my new songs. I have also written some songs for a friend Mike Lane and they are on you tube as well, including a song 'called I sold my heart on ebay' . I also have a Band and we play Country and 1950's Rock&Roll, so I am still active, thanks for your interest.
