I found your channel just at the right time. I'm desperate to get a PS5 because my main games on PS4 Slim are lagging like crazy; I'm building a "smart home" network of devices on a limited budget, and Govee seems like the best way to go; I'm tech-dumb, so I can't figure this out by myself. That's three good reasons for subbing. I got the Glow Smart.
I just bought the Govee lamp and I’m so excited to get it.
The divoom planet 9 is really customizable as well and you can upload your designs for others to rate and save. I really like that about divoom.
Not sure if you tested it yet. This so the 1st video I’ve ever seen of yours.
I’m def gong to get the Govee light bar next. I’ll have to watch that video too.

again I have to thank you, I am a huge fan of rgb toys in general but I didn't realize how great govee products were. I subscribed and will be buying these soon. Also keep up the criticisms on their products, I think they are listening because the amount of improvements they are implementing is pretty crazy.

I bought a couple of Flow light bar sets (for monitor and TV (they are sold out of 75/85" immersion kits). I will mount the bars on my 75" tv and use the other set on the stands for my 34" ultrawide monitor. I guess I can use both sets on my tv, if I feel like moving the camera? Have you tried that? I know you used the flow light bars with the immersion kit (stellar btw). I'm wonder how it easy it is to move the camera around.
I also bought the Glow Table lamp. I'm with you on the design, it's too freaking slick. Aura has some nice effects, but it just looks like a modern lava lamp to me. That sunset and aurora mode on the Glow is mint, and the latter will look immaculate beside my Alienware laptop. I love that blue shade.

You’re right! JBL pulse is very similar. And I know that there is a JBL Pulse 4 as well. But these device are a lot more expensive. For you’re JBL 3 are you able to customize the light panel as with the Aura’ finger sketch tool?
@@MrTekSuggest I can custom fingerpaint a pattern, download other users patterns from the site, and obviously it syncs to music. I believe the JBL4 is alexa google enabled too. The price has come down on the 3 and 4 since the 5 is due to be released soon.

Thanks! The Aura gets very bright at 350 lumens. If you have a fairly small room, you may be able to get away with the Aura as the primary light source. But in general, you want something a bit larger than a 7 inch table lamp If The plan is only to use a single device.

I completely agree Govee needs to add a "scene" button to its devices and also fix that choppiness on the Aura. I bought a Lyra and love it, and then bought an Aura. Both do not have a scene button (Lyra has remote but only same buttons, dim and music and off). Frustrating that you must always use the app if you want to use ANY of the scenes whatsoever. I think it is because it doesn't have a memory to store any custom ones inside so it needs your phone to know how to draw the scene, they could fix this by allowing a short internal memory so they could allow a "scene" button. Or at least make the scenes cycle through the existing default ones but again those new settings (and info) are stored on your phone, not the lamp.
I just ordered the Aura because I prefer the multi-color feature.
Me to I love used it a night when I playing my ps5 and watching horror movies late at night 😊

I'm agonising, trying to decide between the Aura and the Glow.
Aura's got much more features than the Glow, but the Glow has got height to its advantage.
Now, imagine this. An Aura that's as tall (or taller) than the Glow. My mind would be made up in an instant!

I'm trying to find decent alternatives to the aura that can do similar effects, but I can only find cheaper clones eg by lepro,aukey etc and the xiaomi mi 2 smart lamp.. The xiaomi one may be better quality but none seem to have any of the colour effects or animations. The perfect one for a bedroom would also have a clock, the option of being wired or wireless and have a built in speaker for alarm and media playback

I know i keep commenting but do you know if the aura can be used as an slowly increasing alarm clock to wake up? Not an instant on/off, but gradual to emulate sunrise
No worries! You know, that is a very good question. Yes this can be done. But it won’t be as easy as flipping a single switch. In the RGB Class area within the Smarts tab, you’ll have to set up a group for every increment that you want the brightness to increase for a given rime stamp

I would actually recommend the Glow for the bedside on your case. It dims a lot better in the perforated encasing helps diffuse the light even further

Did the aura make a humming noise when you turn up the brightness? Mine does... similar to a fluorescent tube bulb

I know that they’re working on rolling out products in that area. The immersion specifically should be available in 2/3 months
Seems like Govee fails pretty hard when it comes to cable design and basic aesthetic, also I'm not sure their products output enough lumens.
