WE ALREADY HAVE 1 OF THIS MODEL IN THE MUSEUM (almost this nice) AND THE MUSEUM IS 100% SUPPORTED BY KAPLAN CYCLES SALES, THIS IS BEING SOLD TO PAY THE BILLS. REAL BIG BILLS!!!!~
its a real shame none of the big motorcycle companies want to help out with the renovation . People like yourself are the only reason they're old gems and still around and looking as badass as they do (on a large scale to ) I hope to come to America one day just to visit the kaplan compound in you guys /girls are the reason ive started getting back into motorcross bikes since i had a bad back accident so thank you one love from the south wales uk GOD BLESS AMERICA
@@greenhousegrowuk7922 Thank you My brother, ML&R
ya cant keep em all, i get it.
I had an 1978 Honda "monkey" (same bike but that's what they are called in Finland) it automatic clutch. 3 speed. Neutral was lowest and three up. It was my first moped. It was all original and I drove it every day when I had any free time. Super fun for a 10 year old. I sold it few years after owning it for maybe about 50 euros cause I wanted a Suzuki 50cc that I tuned to go fast. The worst sale ever! They sale about 3500€ in Finland now 😏
You have a classic in your hands! There is a dealer maybe mile away from where I live that has tens of old Honda 50cc's.
I think it had the same engine as yours.
My neighbor at the lake had a 1982 Honda Z50 when we were kids. It was an absolute bullet proof bike. So easy to ride, a little 3 speed automatic that would always start first kick. Tons of good memories. I have never seen or heard of a Christmas Special. No doubt they would be super rare!
Haha yeah a kid down the street from me had a blue one when I was a kid. It was the greatest thing I in the world. I just learned how to ride a bike, I was really young. I'd stare out my window every day and wait for their garage door to open and I'd hop on my bike and go down there hoping to be able to ride it 😆 My dad finally got me a little minibike that I loved the hell out of.
Bought my son a 1986 z 50 when he was 8 years old my brother picked one up for his son to a set of points and condenser and away they went hours on my parents Farm hundred acres. The best times.
If I ever hit the lottery I will definitely come to your location and get a dirtbike. So many awesome bikes you guys have. Keep up the great work ..
Same here I was thinking that someone in the uk won 180 million other day and I was thinking if that was me would be straight to Kaplan for a 1 off 500 cr would put any amount for the design to be Kaplan built
Amazing…my cousin had a brand new orange one. I used to cruise in 3rd then downshift into second on the sands on the road & hang it out sideways…👍🏻🎅🏻🎄🫡🇺🇸🏁
There were two or three of these we used to rip around on as kids. So many good memories on these little bikes. Incredible to see one looking that good. Fantastic find as usual!
These are cool, but no way would i ever pay these prices that they are going for, but hey to each their own.
I mean like any collectors item it's only worth it if you love collecting that item, but if I had a few hundred thousand I would certainly love to have a few of these
What prices are you seeing. Just curious.
Any rider from the early seventies on that doesn't have a story or a place in their heart for the Honda Mini Trail 50 or 70 just wasn't raised right . I asked my Dad for one of these when my cousin got one and got the " we"ll see son " . Which
meant good luck with that short stuff . Five years later I bought a Suzuki 185 myself but Dad did buy me a helmet and gave me a ride to Derby Town Suzuki in Louisville Kentucky . My little brother got a new a new YZ 80 a few weeks later . But that's another story . The Honda Mini Trail 50 is an awesome little bike and that motor is Hondas number one seller.of all time from what I've heard . PK
To all the people at Kaplan Cycles thank you for the opportunity to purchase this gem.. I’d like to let you all know it will be kept in the exact same condition as you see it now.. all I ask of you is to take real good care with the shipping to its new home here in Australia.
Once again thank you and God bless 👍
Thank you and congratulations! It's a super rare 100% original!
I got my Honda mini 50 in 1970, rode the hell out of that bike. It was the stepping stone to my first HD Sportster..
A freind of mine has 2 still in the crate and 2 original mint and 1 original rider . He also has about 50 ct 70s many mini trail 50s and Qa and so many other vintage hondas plus a large amount of parts . here in mass . Definitely a collection you guys would appreciate.
Upside down forks and everything! One of older kids around my house got a new one in like 84, first dirtbike i ever caressed i believe, we called it zad 50. Love those honda wings, cheers boys!
My first bike. Mine was a 1986 but it was Orange and blue. It wasn't a xmas special apparently.
My first bike was a 79 suzuki ds 80 and my best friend had a z 50 and i have no better memories than those of the days when my friend and i would rip every vacant lot and school yard up on those bikes. Wed switch bikes on and off all day. And tey to out do eachother. His z50 was deep red though. Id heard about these christmas specials, but never actually seen one till i saw this one...thanks kap! God vbless America
thought my computer was having a stroke at the beginning there lol but got damn that chrome tank slaps
I've been watching your videos for years and I'm always blown away on how you can find so many great old dirt bikes.
My buddy had one he bought new it's hard to believe they're worth that much now ! more Chrome than a Harley ! 😁👍
I’m eyeing that 82-84 Yamaha in the background this hole time!! Lol beautiful
Had one exactly like that when I was a kid. It was a little dinged up by the time me and my brothers went through it
loving what you do from down under
So sweet I collect vintage dirt bikes but some values are going astronomical Monday
I desperately want to see this place
Sweeet..chrome purrfection..🇺🇸
🔥wow that Honda 50 is Just unreal.. sick with all that chrome🔥👊🔥🏍🏍🏍
Kenny that bike is way too nice for the age of it take it home put it on your mantle above your fireplace and just rub it with a diaper
Time capsule!!! Amazing little bike. That YZ in the background looks nice!!
Daaaaannnngggg..... a chromie... sweet
I have one that is all original , and looks just as good . I love this bike , you guys did a fantastic job on this bike , Stunning ! Great job
I learned how to ride on a bike like that bike right there.
Would love to own one of those.
Is the pink line on the carburetor a factory part?
Vacuum packed monkey bikes.... ...far out🗽
I wanted one bad when i was a kid i begged my dad for a honda 50 then finally he bought me one but ... Dad bought me the wrong one he bought the QA50 instead of a z50 but I still was one happy kid . lol
If the bike is so rare why would you sell it? Usually museums don't sell their art pieces.
Good point, you would think it would stay in the museum
We have two of these, i dont need 2!! And I guess you didnt know the museum only exists because of and is 100% supported by Kaplan Cycles.
@@justinm6110 WE HAVE 2!
@@KaplanCycles Someone will put it in a collection probably in a living room and it’ll stay like that forever.
@@KaplanCyclesThat make sense. So are all the bikes in the museum for sale? If not how do you decide which ones to sell and what you keep?
What a little gem ! That's a keeper in the house lol
My first bike z50 orange tank, fold down handle bars
There’s nothing more fun then riding monkey bikes 👌🏻
I think Gary's street and trail in Rhode island had one.
This thing still for sale ?!
Wow. Just wow.
Gracias Kaplan por mostrarnos esta joya. Dios te vendiga

I used to have a 1982 z50
Love love love!! ❤️❤️
Freaking Awesome
If I had the money id love to overpay for that bike & leave it on display
The Price 🤑🥵but 😍💪🏻🙏
That screw is not right
Waffle grips 👍
So sweet ✌️
Z
Really cool but you would have to be clinically insane to drop that kind of money on those things.Proof that our society is staggering like a drunk sailor on payday.😄
thats what they said when 2 of these sold at mecum for 42k 4 years ago, until 2 years ago they bought 52k. why is the mona lisa worth millions? its just a painting right? if you have to ask you wont understand.... vintage cars bringing millions of dollars, 70 chevelles over 100k.... etc
Having to use a multiple year-old example speaks for itself
