- Xuv 700 comes with a space saver spare tyre with speed limit of 80 Kmpl. It's important to change it to a full size wheel if you travel a lot at night or you own a AWD model & do occasional off-roading. I have also tested if the Tire pressure monitoring system works with the upgraded spare tire . Feel free to ask your doubts in comments section below .
I will update you if I am able to activate all 5 wheels in TPMS system like xuv500 .

The TPMS works for the 5th tyre too . Your showroom needs to configure it using there Mahindra proprietary software & enable it , its just choose n enable nothing fancy required. Once that's done your showroom need to reconfigure all 5 tyres in tpms system manually (deflate n inflate) the auto configuration will not work . Once that's done now your TPMs is enabled for all 5 tyres. ENJOY ....

Great review. I'm about to take delivery of my Xuv700. I can live with all the shortcomings, but the rattle really rattles me. Can you tell me if the door beading rattle is really bothersome? Also, what can we do from our side to eliminate it?

Well am a bit more sensitive to pits n pats sounds in car so yes it bothers me if music system is off and sometimes with it playing too . Currently no permanent solution . showroom just uses lubricating sprays which solve problem for some thousand Km.
Please share the link to buy the 18inch alloy. I have AX7 L variant, i would also like to change the spare wheel, i would like to buy the original alloy and tmps.
Sir you will get the alloy online on m2all.com official mahindra web site . Tpms sensors you will get from your service center.
I have ordered the oem alloy wheel from Mahindra dealership & will buy the exact same tyre as my xuv700 ax5 came with. My only question is, does mounting the exact same tyre in place of the Stepney create any issues?

yes just go in spares section of your Mahindra dealer and get it no problems .

I am still using also during server I do 5 wheel rotation instead of 4 wheel & it is running absolutely fine no problems what so ever
Well explained. I want to change the spare wheel to a full size wheel just like you did but don't want to spend 14K on the alloy. Is it possible to get a steel rim of the same size that fits a full size tyre? I found "WHEEL RIM STEEL 7JX18" on Boodmo (since M2all is down). This is compatible with XUV500. Do you think it would fit XUV700 without any issues?

Sir, you have to check with the service centre as ax & mx have different infotainment systems.
@@ItsMytake I am asking about Tyre Pressure Monitoring System which is displayed in the MID. Ohh so you mean since in MX and AX infotainment and MID are 2 separate displays it might not be possible?
yes as Mx n Ax variants have different MID n infotainment hardware i am doubtful .
Was there any reduction in ground clearance after replacing low profile tyre with full size tyre ?
as shown in the video their is absolutely no change in ground clearance of the car .
Departure angle might've been affected a little bit
@@fadilrahman2157 it is a temporary wheel not for more than 50-100 km bcz 1st it reduces milage and then next it comes that wheel is spacesaver that is much more better than a normal wheel in those vehicles where spare wheel is placed downside because normal 235/65 wheel is very much thick so it causes low ground clearance you can ceck other videos for this
@@quattrovlogs3489 Everyone knows its a temporary wheel only meant to drive you to a nearest garage/puncture shop. But people also do travel during the midnight hours, you then get to know that all the shops are closed. You have to travel far in order to find one, you might be in the middle of no-where before a challenging terrain, with your family....
Also the 80kmph speed limit for the spare tyre becomes a barrier.
How will it affect the mileage?
Stock size tyre might be heavier by not more than 6Kgs~.
Thats why I mentioned it will decrease the departure angle.
Bro Should i go with creta S Diesel or Xuv 700 MX Diesel .
PS - My budget is 17 L
If you want a safe car you are talking about a 3 * vs 5 star car , even on size xuv700 is way big n comfortable engine and size wise , what you will loose is some feel good features / factors that you will get in creata S vs Mx 700 . Now you decide what you want more .
@@ItsMytake absolutely I agree with you but with MX Diesel my concern is it has 152 bhp engine will it be enough for such a huge car ???.And creta is not even complete 3 star

I have the AX7 L AWD variant & as you seen in video it fits perfectly no problems at all . Spare stock rim is a total loss at least for me as showroom and the tyre guy both dint take it for anything .
Hi, Is there a way to completely disable to Auto-Engine-Start-Stop? It's debilitatingly irritating to keep doing it after every halt/engine shut-off. The button lights up again and does it's irritating engine shutdown at signals after a while.
Sir as the AX7 L auto does not have that feature i am unaware about the solution .
Did you notice any drop in mileage because of the added weight of the regular size spare wheel (vs) the space saver spare wheel?
no it's way to negligible of a change for this size SUV
Hi, have you checked if upgraded tyre can fit into the space where you currently have your spacesaver without any issues ?
Absolutely it has no problem to fitting in even with full air pressure as shown in video . only make sure you get the same spec tyre as other 4

Is Aollo Apterra HP 235/60 R18 good tyre?
Sir I am still using my OEM MRF tyres n am verry happy with it . I have not seen or used apollo tyres so I cant comment on them . For all my other vehicles I use Bridgestone .

No sir it will not affect it in any way as the rear axel is lower than what the full size tire is , also I have shown pic of my xuv 500 which came with company fitted 5 same size wheels and in 9 years I never had any problem .

they gave me no exchange value i still have the space saver with me .

yes it will not affect the TPMS performance but on highway the road noise sound can increase due to at tyres.

It comes with the spare wheel if you buy from m2all but its extra,you have to re use the logo you remove from the wheel to be replaced.

Sir you have to check with the service center is required hardware is present in your car or not its not just sensors in tyres.

m2all.com its the official website of Mahindra for Spares n Accessories. Its very slow in delivering products but it works , also the showroom can provide you with extra alloy
Some time I feel Mahendra do lot of stupidity with components. Even after we pay 24 lacs he can't just provide 2500 rupee ( our price ) worth reverse camera!!! For him it will cost even less. Same is with tyre also. He better increase little more price of the car and give this as standard product.

The Stepney tyre is totally useless. I had suffered a lot because of this. In the middle of the highway my tyre burst due to road repair work and somehow I changed my tyre and put Stepney tyre in that place. While driving I lost my confidence due to such weak n poor stepney tyre as car was wobbling while driving. With grace of God me and my family reached home. Now I have bought full new extra tyre to avoid such situation in future. MM should avoid such cost cutting by providing dangerous stepney tyre like this.
the automobile industry in India as a whole now started doing it and this is started by ultra luxury segments , I just dont understand when will there greed be fulfilled & Saify will be given higher priority .

Bro I have a manual puncher kit ,video is on the channel .For tubeless tyres puncher is not a problem you can just fill in air with tyre inflater n drive till shop . Problem occurs when tyre blasts or cracks/tears the only solution in this case is a spare tyre.
