Is there a vac version and non-vac version ? I ask as do you mean the various advance curves are not determined by the engine vac (PRM) but rtaher by the 123 itself ?
@@edwardkennedy9919 Ok, I see what you mean. Having had an Accuspark distributor on an air cooled VW, which is essentially a Chinese made distributor body with Accuspark internals and now I'm using the 123 Ignition distributor I think it's fair to say they are a far superior item, in build, 15 different advance curve options, and performance, hence they cost more. For what I want I think the extra cost is worth it.
@@noelwhittle7922 yes I see what you mean inferior quality products everywhere these day's, I'm just going to use genuine lucas points for a while longer.
Which model would I need for a 1969 XKE without vacuum?
Do you know if there is a. 123 supplier in cape town SA

they come with vac advance added, (but you wont see a can on the side) the curve works from rpm and the vac need a pipe from the carb.
Very expensive unfortunatley.
Not true.
Expensive ?
Compared to what exactly?
@@noelwhittle7922 Accuspark, spark right, etc.
