- A review of drugstore makeup under $5! These new holiday gift sets from LA Colors are available in Family Dollar stores this year. I will be showing you an up close application makeup tutorial with a few of them and giving mini reviews of some of the other sets at the end of the video :)

Omg I cannot believe the pigmentation on that $1 palette! It’s a shame some people would skip over it simply because of the price and outer packaging. I’ve bought many expensive palettes with terrible quality but super cute packaging. I’ve come to realize that it’s the product quality that matters most not packaging.

lol You are right. Most makeup is basically the same. When you get higher end makeup, what you really pay for is the name and nice packaging. For me, this does not justify the inflated pricing. If cheap makeup works pretty good, I don't see the point to buy something more expensive.

I’m still happily using some la colors glosses i got from a christmas set i got for myself (yes, i’m very bad) years ago. More comfortable then nyx imo.
I don't like them at all they so cheap hey you get what you pay for the their eyeshadow is hard to show off and I try then like four years ago and never again how about thier foundation is the worst

LA Colors sells some amazing matte singles for 50¢ that are amazing. ( Dollar General) beautiful warm tones , excellent quality! They're stepping up their game!

I LOVE LA Colors Makeup. I feel like the cheaper brands have really improved over the last few years. I'm almost never disappointed with their eyeshadows specifically!

They have flat containers at Dollar tree and I put it in these containers!!
Maybe for the mood ones you can put magnets on the back and store the other two in a z palette.

Thank you for letting us know about good quality makeup that's super inexpensive. Much appreciated! I do think that a company coming out with such good products and being able to sell them at such a low cost speaks volumes about how much (or rather, little) it actually costs to produce them, and how much other companies must be marking up their own products. Very eye-opening!

I do like a brand review of Jordana as well. I love their pencil liners but I'm scared of trying anything else out of that brand outside of their lipsticks, eyeliners and lipliners.
I would also love a Jordana brand review. And they're made here in the US, a rarity these days.
Lipstick Zombie I feel the same way! Like nobody talks about them and I don’t know what to try! Plus I can only get them online so I want to make sure whatever I’m going to buy is going to be worth the shipping.
PetLover2012 Colormax Cosmetics has products made in the US, but they are more of a high end/ Indie brand I think.
I have seen that Jordana brand but never tried it!

I love these palettes! I use them every day. They have a chunky nude lip that I wear every day too. For a freakin dollar! 🤑
Stick them in a little plastic food saver type lidded bowl (the extra pallets lol)

I loved hearing your little one in the background. It put a smile on my face for sure. I’m a grandma of 6 grandchildren and I have 5 great-grandchildren. I’m only 58 and I must say that they truly bring me lots of joy and happiness when I get to see them. I’m in end stage copd so I can’t really hold them or play with them the way I would like but just seeing their little smiles on their faces really make it so special for me. I have been truly blessed.
I remember using this brand of makeup when I was a teenager but I don’t remember them ever being this good. They’ve probably changed their formula since then. Considering that was 40 years ago. Lol I’m so glad at least some of the oldies are still around. Brings back memories. :)

Love that sweet Gia was part of this video. Love the sleep hair. Hearing her sounds brought me back to those days of trying to do anything from makeup to cooking when my son was a baby. 17 years ago... He was a chill baby too. He is a wonderful young man now definitely! Our children are the light of our lives that’s for sure. Sometimes it feels like I was carrying him not so long ago, others, it feels like such a long time has passed. I guess a lot of time has passed, he’s about to graduate high school. He’s my only child. My miracle.
I truly love that you keep her off of UA-cam, I commend you for that. Both Gia and Jett aren’t able to tell you what their wishes are and I really think that you taking this under consideration is great.
We seem to feel very similar about many things from what I have gathered over time watching your videos. I so wish you were my friend in real life. ❤️

You are the only bigger youtuber who talks about LA Colors, thank you for this video. 😊 I use a lot of their stuff, love their eyeshadow and lippies the most. I got the Frisky palette you talked about before and love it. They have these 8 pan palettes, one for contour and one for blush. The "I love contour" one is amazing, I've used it half way up, and the blush one is great too. They are only $6. I hate when people talk bad about LA Colors, and brands like them, just because they're so "cheap". Well, I don't have a lot of money, so I have to buy what I can afford and I'm impressed 95% of the time with LAC.
They had the interchangeable ones before, I have them and they came with plastic sleeve covers for the 2 not in use, but I also just keep them in a Snack size ziplock bag. ☺
Thank you for your honest reviews on all items you share with us viewers. You are such a very beautiful lady to your viewers, daughter, mother, and a wife to your husband. I hope you’ll one day share how you do your hair with such soft curls.

Just loving the baby sounds. I just love those raspberries, especially when they are out in public. My baby is 25 years old and I miss those days. But then again every age is special and wonderful in its own way.

LA colors over the past few yrs have been one of those hidden gems. To store those interchangeable palettes I would use an empty altoid tin. You can also decorate them to make them cute.
I bought the pinks in that dollar eyeshadow pallet and was shocked at how amazing it is!!!

i have those $1 eye palettes and they are amazing. I had gotten a $5 eye palette from CVS and it was terrible compared to those $1 ones. Highly recommend those to anyone. Great palettes at an even better price.

I hate to say, but by not paying their production areas a living wage. Idk if they are using sweatshop labor but I know that’s how forever 21 keeps their prices low.
Because it doesn't cost NEARLY as much to make as we get charged. The same foreign manufacturers that produce the expensive high end brands products also produce the same exact formulas but unbranded(that's right, makeup "brands don't usually have their own factories)

This company has truly stepped up their game!! I have so many products by them because when I run to Family Dollar for some random thing for the house, I can't leave without hanging out in the makeup section for probably longer than I should!! I'm completely in love with their choices & even if I have to layer to make a color more intense, it is still a makeup deal very hard to pass by!!! ☕💋💅💄

Awww! I was hoping to get to see Gia! I love all those little baby noises. I am so, so grateful to you for including such bargains in your videos. I, for one, just don't see spending a small fortune (even if I could, which I can't!) on things that most times are just as good (or almost) as the high end stuff.
I have three LA Colors Eyeshadow Palettes that I bought for $1 each at the Dollar Tree. I am amazed at the quality. Thank you, Zabrena, for featuring LA Colors. That brand doesn't receive much attention on UA-cam!

Have you checked out the la colors holiday eyeliner lipliner lipstick sets? Walgreens has them I think for $10. I’ve been very curious and wanting to get them but scared the quality won’t be there and I’d be waisting my money. Love the video and can’t wait for you to start The Christmas videos. You Rock.

I have several palettes of LA Colors eyeshadows and love them all. They blend nicely and the bright colors last all day. Love seeing reviews on more affordable make up brands that are open minded.

I LOVE those eye shadow palettes so much. I bought one of each & tried them the next day & literally went back & bought one more of each to have stored away for back-ups 'cause I know I'll go through those lol. I even got the $1 ones they had at Dollar Tree that are just like those, but they're Nude, Rose & Smokey & they all work JUST as amazingly as those palettes you show here (also the Nude one is just ALL mattes for anyone looking for an all matte palette with neutrals). Will certainly be looking for those gift sets, those all look fantastic, thank you for reviewing more budget-friendly brands like LA Colors, they're literally my favorite brand along with Wet N Wild & ELF since they're all affordable for me.

I actually really like those lashes I like a thin band and more natural looking lashes and those are perfect 👌🏻

I went out& got some of the $1 pallets & love them. I usually get the cheaper makup for my daughter to play with but now I'm using them. She thinks when I bring them in that their hers so I guess we need to share lol. She also watched this video with me & recreated the look. So cute watching her. Some of the $3 L.A. Colors stuff is quite decent. I got a Nude shadow palette and a blush at Dollar General and was quite impressed. And hearing Gia coo? Oh, my heart!

You could always put the extra eyeshadows in a ZPalette. And Gia’s little noises are so cute, miss that with my son being a young adult already!!!

A tip on the glow now tubes, work quickly it dries so fast and you'll end up with more stuck on your fingers than your face. I ended up just mixing a dot with a dot of moisturizer and it worked better for me. I don't wear foundation though so I'm not sure how it might work with that.
