It is a beautiful place with exquisite color. Definitely a place to see in future if you are out in the area. Thanks Glenn for the tour and Amy your choice of music at the north one was so pretty. Well done video you two.
Several years ago my husband and I drove from Cedar City to Duck Creek. We drove right by the entrance not knowing what Cedar Breaks was. I recently saw pictures of the area and decided that we need to go back to check it out. Utah is my favorite state to visit and you’ve given me more than one place to add to my list. Thanks Glenn!
Utah does not disappoint me at all. Cedar Breaks reminds somewhat of the Grand Mesa near Delta CO. It's about 11,000 feet. I've done cross-country skiing there and some snowshoeing and hiking. . We would also head for the trees to get out of the wind. I want to visit Cedar Breaks and the overlooks. Each one is a little different. Thanks for the lovely tour Glenn and Amy. See you on the next one.
Thank you, Glenn and Amy!! Next year going on a major camping trip and I will be staying near Bryce Canyon national Park. I’ll be with a group, but this is one of the things I would like to see!!
Cedar Breaks is great. I've been three times now. In fact, for those traveling I-15 who want a diversion and can spare a little time, the combination of Cedar Breaks and Kolob Canyon further south is basically a Mini Bryce and Mini Zion adventure. Plus the road up from I-15 to Brian Head and then Cedar Breaks is a fun drive up a canyon. The road you saw by Brian Head does indeed go clear to the top. I took it a couple summers ago without realizing I had a broken strut on my Juke. Whoops. Amazing views up there, but that wind might have made it terrifying. And that shirt you showed in the start of the video...yeah, I got me one! My collection of park/monument shirts is getting out of control these days. Here's hoping your viewers take the time to visit Cedar Breaks if they ever have the chance.
That's two mentions about the wind up there. I'm guessing it's just one of those places where it is always windy? Our park shirts collection has grown quite a bit over the years too. 😅
Hi Glenn, my daughter and I stayed in nearby Parowan last October. We also visited this place last year. Very beautiful somewhat hidden place. Definitely worth checking out.
Was there last year. Very nice. There were areas closed that I want to see, so I expect to be back. We drove there from the north and the drive up was wild.
I like going up there in the summers to escape the heat. The drive up to Brian Head peak is cool as well, definitely worth swinging by next time. From the top you can see Wheeler Peak (2nd tallest mountain in Nevada) 120 miles away, and into Arizona.
I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you very much. The dirt roads in that area are very awesome as well.. most of the mountains are private land. Cedar Mountain
I will visit this one, but I will stay where the fencing is...let Glenn do the wowza moments on the edge! lol Knowing my luck i'd slip or trip right in! lol
Glen, you can drive all the way up that road you saw, to Brianhead peak. Its the highest point in the area. You think it was windy at Cedarbreaks, Brianhead peak will blow you over!! Our grandchild got out the car and fell over!!
2:25 I've also noticed the "copy paste" merch at NPS visitor centers. I've now taken to buying shirts from Ebay. Typically about $10, vintage, and made to last! Unlike the shirts in our visitor centers now that feel very cheaply made, like a shirt from Amazon.
I bought a very nice shirt from Big Bend National Park in early 2020. It had a beautiful design of Casa Grande with a Roadrunner. I have also noticed that on my more recent visits to National Parks all the shirt designs are generic.
🤣 Yeah... we got a lot of feedback about the pronunciation when we went the first time. Zi-on is just what feels normal to us despite local pronunciation. 😅

Thank you so very very much! 😊

Utah is a great state to visit for sure! Glad you're adding this to your list! 😊
Such a great place, one of my favorites. Glad you shared.
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 😊
What an amazing view. Wonderful scenery. Glad I came along, thanks for the invite. Hi Amy. Take care everyone n on to the next adventure.
Thank you! You too! We'll pick you up next week for another adventure. 😊

Sounds like a place we'd love! So many locations, so little time! 😅
As you said, we know everybody goes for the big 5, but wow, what a great place to visit!
That's the fantastic thing about Utah. LOADS of places to find amazing landscapes - both big and small. 😊
All so beautiful love it
Thanks so much 😊

Make time if you possibly can! It's very much worth it and the lower crowd levels make it amazing. 😊
I really enjoy the places you show. I've been all over my Utah Roads & Rec Altals in that area and never saw that. Thanks for sharing. cheers
Our pleasure! Thanks so much! 😊

Compared to the nearby big parks, it indeed is a nice quiet little gem. 😊

We have xc skied it it's unforgettable,in three days only saw two other people ❤
Wow. Can't even imagine how awesome that must be.
Thanks!
And thank YOU! Much appreciated! 😊

I can definitely understand! Coming from Phoenix's summer heat up there was surreal and incredibly refreshing in terms of temperature. 😅

Glad you like them! Thanks so much! 👍

I struggle with the heights sometimes too. Got a tinge of vertigo I think.
@@CactusAtlas I wouldn't get anywhere near those edges with no fences! lol

🫤 Yikes! Hope no injuries occurred!
the same shirt with different parks on it might be a collection series... collect all the shirts?i gotta get get to the canyon....thx
Fun idea! I like it! 😄
For me the high lite were the 2000 (or more?) year old bristlecone pines.
Those ancient bristlecones are something else, aren't they? We're pretty fond out then too.
Do you have a video on the works, on possibly bloody basin rd area. Thought I might have seen you there about 3 weeks ago.
Not one in the works, but I did make one last year taking bloody basin down to the sheep’s bridge.

Well, that's the difference between money going to the parks system and some random seller online.
This is a very wonderful video. I am producing a TV program in Japan. Would it be possible for me to borrow your video?
I've always called it Zi-on. It used to bug me that you would call it Zi-an.
I'm glad you say it Zi-on now. Thanks 😂
🤣 Yeah... we got a lot of feedback about the pronunciation when we went the first time. Zi-on is just what feels normal to us despite local pronunciation. 😅
Glenn, love your videos and commentary. Would only suggest that you slow down. You are breathless, racing about like a tourist on a one week vacation.
Unfortunately, that's the sad truth and kind of how it is with making the most of trips. 🤷♀️😔
