In fact, his pardon was his cue that Dany was about to be killed, and he rushed to stop the assassination that he helped to facilitate. He was banished for his omissions more than for his espionage.
Syr Jorah was a badass. He survived being exiled after his king was murdered, survives gray scale and the treatment, survives multiple wars and finally dies fighting for his new queen
Thank you for creating this video. Jorah was my favorite character on the show. He wasn't perfect. But who is? He died defending his queen. He died defending someone he would ALWAYS LOVE. He died with 🎖 HONOR.

Das war eine unglaubliche Sequenz in der letzten Staffel, "Die lange Nacht" einer der dramatischen Höhepunkte der ganzen Serie (davon gab es aber so einige...) und Jorah Mormont eine tolle Figur in der ganzen Serie. Neben seinen Schattenseiten und Fehlern der Vergangenheit überwiegen am Ende eins langen, harten Weges Mut, Klugheit, Weltgewandtheit, Beharrlichkeit, Stehvermögen, Liebe, Treue und Loyalität. Bis zuletzt für seine Khaleesi. Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass ich in meinem Leben eine komplette Serie mit immerhin acht Staffeln und über 60 Stunden Spieldauer drei Mal anschaue und das vierte und fünfte Mal wird es sicherlich auch noch geben.
Something I've never heard anyone comment on is the fact that she knew by jumping high in the air at him made him have to grab her with his arms high, opening a slit in his armor thereby allowing her a weak point to stab him in.
This episode was very well done. So many say this ruined the show but I think Dany going nuts and becoming evil was the cop out. I'll never understand how those writers could abandon their posts when they were so close.
I still can’t believe he got the boot by Ser Barriston The Bold, because he sent a letter to Varys about her wedding to Drogo. Which was waaayyyyy prior to her reign as Khaleesi or calling her self “Rightful heir to the Iron Throne” He was a stranger to her at that point in time so he had no ill will. He even saved her from the assassin they sent. Like come on 😅
Honestly, it was probably the best possible way for the character to go out. Dany was never going to love him the way he wanted, so he died protecting her. He and the Hound were probably the only characters who had a satisfying closure to their stories. And maybe Arya, who finally went off to explore the world. But still... that's like 3 out of 12 major characters.
this show was ruined because the writers wanted to move on to star wars and because they ruined the show star wars denied working with them. The last season was such a let down and should have went a completely different way. Talking Thrones fan ending is so much better than the one we got. Hope the writers only get a job writing soaps
Let's face it! During the last season, the writers were ALL about the non-ending 'after parties' which included saying goodbye (DRINKING!) as each character was wrapped-up (aka "killed")! Sloppy writing and sloppy editing.... that did not catch Starbucks tea cups or obvious flaws. Super Sloppy! Glad that could not get on to Star Wars and ruin that too!
If only Arya had used her instant transmission to magically teleport behind the knight king a few seconds earlier he might of lived. also, it might have been a good idea to wear his metal armour for this battle instead of the cardboard armour he was wearing
She loved him with all her heart, just not the romantic way. Jorah died saving his Queen, with honor, and knowing she loved him. A greater death he could not have chosen.
I hope that when I meet my ending it is as meaningful and hard fought as this. This is how every Man should aspire to go out -- Sword in hand, honor in heart, undefeated of spirit.
What a great ending to season 8. Now the long wait for season 9 and the march to kingslanding where Danny and Jon will liberate the seven kingdoms and rule together in peace and prosperity.
