Thanks for watching this episode! We love the Chesapeake Bay and hopefully, this video does justice to the cruising grounds here. ...and sorry for that cliffhanger 😮 at 27minutes long, I figured we'll go into more details in another video.
Great episode! Glad you got to Urbanna, even driving. I think I saw you go passed us a couple days ago. We're anchored out by the Tiki bar😂 big blue boat can't miss it.
Enjoyed the video! Pretty scenery, cooking, relaxing and seeing The Fosters having a wonderful time. We had a great time in Deltaville and hope to see you soon.
Oh man! That’s never a good feeling! We are headed up there on our sailboat, also a Catalina, from Florida in about a month. Great to get so much information about the area and anchorages, thank you guys!
I live on the mouth of the Rappahanock in Deltaville! I worked on the schooner Alliance in Yortkown, twas fun. Great video hope to see you out there one day! (we are brown house on mouth of sturgeon creek, easily visible)
Missed you guys! It's been quite awhile since your last vlog. Thank you for catching us all up....on "Where in the world are the Foster's?" Dragging anchor simply s#@cks. Why go through the stress of potential or real keel damage? ALWAYS set an ANCHOR WATCH app. There are multiple ones for your cell phones and I am guessing your Nav MFD probably has one also. I prefer my cell phone as it draws less juice from the house bank then the MFD even with the display turned off. Fair winds! Sailing Ruby Rose has an episode in which they went ashore for dinner and drinks in Thailand only to dinghy back to their brand new $1M dollar catamaran to find it missing. In a nutshelll, the tide rose, the wind shifted and they had insufficient scope so their boat dragged away into deep water. Luckily they found it several miles from where they anchored unharmed.
am looking at flexible 100W or so solar panels. Noticed your set on the Bimini. What kind? Satisfied? Thanks! Been to Annapolis and St Michaels. Now I'll add some of your other suggestions.
@@TheFosterJourney BTW, sorry about you keel, should have mentioned that first :) Why is it not a good option? Fuel usage or bad to just idle for motor health?

Yes, I remember the blue boat!
Good sail, great scenes, spending time alone on top with you, the boat, and US what could be better huh ;-)

So true. Feeling a bit overconfident and mother nature humbled us. 🙌
Yes, it's been a while! Great episode
My wife a I sailed into St Michaels in 1982 it was just a peaceful fishing village loved it then .
Wow! Big difference to the Air BNB getaway of today....still charming though.
Ah, Kilmarnock! Just down the road. Chesapeake Doughnut was pretty awful last time we tried. Drop an anchor in Mill Creek for a night. Beautiful.
Great Video Matt. I need to visit Annapolis for sure.
wonderful video - thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great videos!! Thanks
Nice video. Being a native Marylander, the Bay is an American treasure. Enjoy the crabs!
The crabs, the oysters, all so yum!!!
Anchored at Norton's in Deltaville VA 40 years ago. Nice people.
I keep my boat a Norton's. Kendall and Anton are awesome!
Great Video !!!! Oh boy! hope everything is okay.

@@ames477 yep, we're 12 months with our 4 x 100w and love them. amzn.to/46EdpF4
my old house is in this video! haha...
Ouch! 😢 Sorry . You have to love sailing to put up with all the things that go with it
I suppose so...it's 85% perfect out here. 😉
Great vid! Curious if you could go over your total expenses for the time period or year, especially since it’s all in US waters?
Great suggestion!
Quick Q, can you just run the main engine to charge the batteries, even at anchor, if the sun is not out to charge the batteries?
That's a last resort type option, but it's not a good option.

@@ezmn9663 noisy. It's just not ideal living conditions...fine for a weekend cruiser, but not full time/extended cruising.
If you haven't run aground, you have'nt been around.
Haha, ain't that the truth!
we are up the chester near chestertown. Lots of amazing anchorages. Nice and quiet. Hit us up. I own a winery
