Celeste is not the only dopest club in Chicago, it is quite possibly the greatest ambiance and club experience that I've had in my life. Such an amazing place.

Solid review. I'm from Chicago and these recommendations are spot on. For Prysm, it's always good to check to see who's performing. That will heavily dictate the crowd and vibes.

@@zachvernon3809 for the most part yeah. Prysm has a smaller side room where it'll be 99% hip hop. Some nights might have an EDM DJ in the main area. Check ahead before you go. Same thing with Tao. They always have different performers.
This is based on my preference of music as well they do have other edm clubs if that’s what your looking for

I wouldn’t recommend tao this Friday if you like hip hop they have an edm guy that night. I would suggest Liqrbox or bounce

Tao nightclub I would suggest personally but if you have a big party size mixed with male and females it may be a bit harder to get in

Tunnel second Floor Vip would be lit. In all honesty you can't really miss like that on NYE everything is going to be packed

I went to Tunnel one Saturday night, they only played Hispanic music, my friends left after 30mins

How were you able to get into Tao ? Did you pay a cover fee or did you have to make a table reservation, because I am not trying to break the bank. lol
Honestly it depends, going with women and going through a promoter is the cheapest way. I got in without a huge cover but I kinda been around enough doorman to know how to act (like you belong without being obnoxious" showing up early usually makes it cheaper as well. Also dress the part, like your a guy who belongs in the club style wise doesn't have to be designer just well put together.
What about joy district?
That was a tough one wanted to include it but didn’t know what to take out. What 5 do you got?

Tao cover depends on doorman so I can’t really tell you may be a 100 bar tab may be more you may be free just depends on how he’s feeling snd who your with
Everything is going to need tickets since it’s nye. After 12 the prices drop significantly my best bet would be try bars and show up early probably will be free if they don’t offer open bar

After living out of state back & fourth the past few years, Chicago nightlife is prob the most disappointing for black people. Black clubs don’t really exist in nice parts of the city. It’s very white centered. Just corny hiphop nights that play old hiphop, pop and techno…You won’t have fun if you use to upscale BLACK places in cities like Dallas, Houston, Atl, DC, Charlotte and Raleigh. They should try Afro beats spots for a black experience, but here even that has sprinkles in it 😩 planning my exit again lol.
Dc was super mid for me, no quality control what so ever, Dallas i liked more than atl and houston by far. But I also don’t care for hookah and strip club vibes so that’s prolly why. I noticed in Chicago weekday parties were more for the culture than weekend parties the big commercial clubs your spot on though. Charlotte and Raleigh I haven’t heard much about aside from how cheap tables are so may have to pass through as I keep doing this
Yea the experience will be different depending on if you going for strip club, hookah, hiphop nights or reggae/afrobeats. I stopped going to strip clubs & hiphop stuff now I only go to reggae/afrobeats events so I’m judging based off that.
Afrobeats I swear is the hardest type of vibe to find in cities you actually gotta be like plugged in, from my own experience
I liked the afrobeats scene in dc, Raleigh and Charlotte so far. I’m not sure how it is for men, but it’s easy for women to have fun since African men naturally try to impress women with a good time. As a man though, I could imagine them coming off as very inclusive, and you mostly end up feeling like an outsider.
You hit it right on the head. not to mention the discrimination black men recieve trying to get in a club...
Thats why you see mostly white and others in it.... dont wastes your time.
Tunnel Saturday's NYC in the 90s was the best party on the planet the underground rave club's peaked in the late 90s it's a shame kid's now don't get to see how Fkn great it was.
