My ex husband played in a band, exercises, did all the things to keep healthy and he now has Lews dementia and Parkinson, which is the worst kind of dementia, his mother died from dementia so I'd say it was genetic. Terrible to see a once proud man to have this outcome, a shadow of himself, he shuffles, sits in a chair just staring, every now and again he will say something that makes sense, so we are over the moon when that happens, it's truly heartbreaking to see a very intelligent person to become like a zombie, his on medication that helps but we are aware what the future holds x

Same with our father. He had four degrees, an important position in his long military career. He was VP at two top companies after retirement. He rode bikes, ran, read copiously, subscribed to 6 different news magazines. Played scrabble to the end…. He was never still, until he was. He used a cane as long as he could, but when the falls started he had to do the wheel chair thing. He just went down down down quickly, until he was completely immobile. Completely lost speech, hearing and movement within a two year span. There is no treatment or delay for this insidious scourge.

You can double-tap the left half of the screen, and it will go back 10 secs....double tap the right half to fast-forward 10....handy with Alex Jones.

I had a relative with most of the signs for a period of about 5 to 2 years. Stopped travelling, stopped going to the pub or supermarket, stopped taking the bus to the nearby city, stopped going to his bank, stopped going to buy ciagarettes at a nearby shop, stopped going down the street, stopped leaving the house, stopped changing his clothes, stopped washing himself. Very big fear in new situations (ambulance etc.). Did not want to see family doctor or go to the hospital. And yet, through all this and 2 years beyond, there was NEVER anything wrong with his mind, he kept watching political shows, was informed about daily news and sports, recognized everyone around him, also people who called who had not called in years etc.
So I am wondering if these symptoms can also occur without the mental damage.
He spend the last two years of his life in a nursing home and soon knew all the nurses and the stories they had told him about their life, he had no trouble remembering this new information.

Could be trauma-related. PTSD, depression. Could be he's experiencing personality and mood changes and starts to withdraw as he no longer recognizes or trusts himself.

This is misleading, as people can have multiple symptoms mentioned in the video. It could be a result of their daily life. It may even be considered normal under the pressure of today's world.

Edo Ahmad: What you're stating is absolutely true, but it's not that the video is totally incorrect. The video is spot on when taken out of context, but what it fails to mention is that normal people who experience these symptoms are able to recall what they initially forgot due to stress, time pressure, absent mindedness etc., whereas people who have dementia have totally lost their cognitive ability to remember or do things that used to come naturally to them, without having that ability to recall those things anymore that a normal person would have.

*So sad, but anyone who has looked after a loved one with dementia will know how hard it is physically and mentally. My heart goes out to anyone/everyone affected by Alzheimer/Dementia. A huge shout out to any caregiver doing this alone! I feel your journey. I feel your pain because I've been there. My mom was also diagnosed in her 60s. Feeling absolutely shattered, heartbroken and drained, working with different physicians across the country with little or no improvement. I was exhausted and overwhelmed to look any further. Crying a lot through frustration, anger and despair, But today with the help of Homeocure Worldwide Natural Medicine, my mother is completely healthy and well again. I think we only need more support and sunlight to overcome this dreadful disease. Search for support regardless and don't stop until you get it. With Homeocure Worldwide treatment, there is hope, don't give up! contact them on their youtube channel for more info*

Not to mention at least parts of the symptoms might as well be ADHD. I often misplace my things not to mention lose them (more than the average person do you mind) bit as I am only 25 years there sure as hell is a much higher chance of me suffering from ADHD than there is that it will be any kind of dementia

Watch the Queen's husband - a classic case of dementia even though he is very old. Extreme irritability 'Take the fucking photograph!' shouted in public in the Palace; passes a police sight test but he nearly killed three people on the road - a brain problem not a vision problem; hip replacment - your skeleton is a general indication of your brain health, strangely. It constantly renews itsel but the process is controlled by the brain. 25% of hip surgery patients are dead within a year. Have a front seat at the end of a dementia patient, but he is 97. Calcification is a problem - in London the tap water is heavy in calcium (limescale), you must use a filter, at least, unfortunately purified tap water not available in England, so we're all going to get it.

On #8, the word "judgement" is misspelled...there is NO "e" after the "g". (Maybe the UK spells it with an "e" though.)

The way this video has been edited makes the sense that I'm getting dementia just from watching because the text moves too quickly and the music is very distracting. Can you consider leaving the text on the screen for a longer time and cutting out the annoying garbage sounds that aren't very musical anyways?
