FF8 definitely had some of the weirder summon. Like a train, a minotaur and his midget brother, a living vacuum cleaner, and whatever Eden is supposed to be.
I thought it was great! Even being able to summon cactuar and tonberry, and a very fat chocobo! I’m glad they went a bit overboard on the summons. That made FF Tactics a lot of fun too.
@@75190255508 you are correct, the garden of Eden is a location mentioned in the bible, where God placed Adam, the first man. All the fruits there were safe to eat. Notably it housed both the tree of life whose fruits bestowed immortality, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, whose fruits bestow exactly what's written on the tin. The FF8 Eden is reminiscent of the Gardens within the game, but appears at least partially organic, with a very futuristic look. It also possesses abilities that disregard the laws of physics, such as bending space, the ability to rotate an entire planet off its rotational axis, and the apparent ability to accelerate objects to superluminal speeds.
The irony, in ff6 ghost Train (the monster Doom trains based on) can be suplexed and giving that gf to zell is like it became Sabin's friend after getting owned by a suplexed (having a little fun with final fantasy trivia)
Great GF but i don't see a way in the original ps1 game, how would you know you need six Marlboro Tentacles, six Steel Pipe and six Remedy+, and of course the Solomon Ring to summon it. I always thought i missed a GF on the first encounter in the Lunar flying palace during the mission with Zell and Edea. This game had really some nasty mysteries. Tomberry King also was impossible, you need to kill between 20-24 tomberries for the GF to appear. And of course Eden, you need to come on the same place you got Bahamut.
I forget what they're called as it's been years, but during your adventure you come across these magazines. In the magazines they talk about Doomtrain, and give subtle hints as to what you need to find. The necessary information is highlighted, too. I can see them being easily overlooked, though. They're usually tucked away, hidden out of obvious sight of the player.
DoomTrain is easily one of the best GF's. It should be summoned right away at the beginning of every major battle. You forgot to mention that it also inflicts Poison (status) and slow petrify. Also it doesn't inflict Curse (only player characters can be affected with that ailment). Sure, a High Crisis Level Bad Breath can also deal Instant Death, Petrify and Zombie atop of all the rest mentioned in the video (that's literally ALL the negative status effects present in this game rolled into one move) but DoomTrain has NO chance of missing, meaning that if the enemy isn't straight up immune to said status', it will be afflicted, whereas Bad Breath follows the standard Status Formula.
Dude, hearing ur voice makes me want to listen to Song 2 by blur lol, anyways thank you for your guides, I’m actually playing the ps1 version right now as I was unaware of the remaster, so many fools wait for the Ragnarok the get doom train not realizing you can get him upon arrival to Esthar
A fun fact. DOOMTRAIN was a boss in I believe it was FF VI or FF V. It also is one of my favorite GF.s in FF VIII. The animation I always loved :D It's just a crazy ol' train :D
It was Final Fantasy VI. It was called the "Phantom Train" and served as both a dungeon and Boss. Infamously popular for being the only boss vulnerable to Sabin's Suplex ability
In ff7 it was a metaphor for their journey. Barret must've worshipped the thing in some religious storyline that got cut. Probably be in the remake imho
Hey bro is there any chance you could help me with a few things with FF8? I'm on my second play through but the first time was from its original release lol. If you can just reply to me on here and I'd love to have some help
I have a question nothing related to this vid lol how do you delete rank 1 magics? I've been silly and gave all characters 1, 2, 3 rank magics and can't get the better magics later on. So how does one get rid of 1& 2 rank magic. 😊
Go to your magic menu from the main menu, select "use", highlight the magic stack you want to get rid of, press square and confirm to delete. There is no way to delete partial stacks that I've found.
You should give it to Selphy. She loves trains.
Good one
I like this comment. But she has 6 gfs already 😭 but deff will revisit this at end game when can pretty much boost gf compatability with everyone
Quite a contrast to her limit break!
XD
Oh man, I read that wrong then realized she really does

It's not a party without doomtrain, tonberry, cactuar and chocobo
To be fair, FF12 had WAY weirder summons.
Isn't Eden a garden? It looks like a space/heavenly/Pimp-My-Ride version of the other gardens in the game and the name itself is a garden.

It's hard to live up to Hades but Doomtrain did a great job, I agree with you on my favorite summon

Zell and Selphie teamup! (She likes trains)

I always liked that doomtrain was a nod to the ghost train in FF6 ...

There are a few times I got doomtrain I think I named him local mine after the 5th Digimon movie
finally, someone that talks

I thought doomtrain sucked

One fenix down later lol (it was spelled fenix back then, I promise)
How does Doomtrain epitomize FF?
If going by looks alone, the coolest GF in the game for me is Diablos for sure
I am not able to use the ring. No clue why
I messed up and didn't get Alexander in disc 2, so have to wait till disc 4 for I can get remedy+
Doomtrain into Rinoa meteor wings = everything on the screen is dead
Where can i get the tentacles? Without having to face the level 99 ones on the hell island?
Cards
Doomtrain! Doomtrain is the best thing in ff8
Thanks for the video
Forbid Med-RF Is Pretty Good, That's The Main Ability To Use For Stat Maxing, With Stat Boost Items.

I hate molboros, my favorite GF is Eden.
