I have a couple questions for you. We are moving there next year from Oregon.
Did you travel from Ireland to Spain on your US passport? Was that easy, if so?
Did you get your daughters Irish citizenship? Did they have to be registered as foreign births? If so, how long did that take?
Hey there! Yup, I traveled to Spain with my US passport and yeah it was easy to do so, no troubles there! Yeah, our daughters do have their Irish citizenship, we did that a couple of years ago, I remember because it was right before Covid started. Did it from the US going through the Irish embassy (did it over mail); my husband got the passport forms from the Irish embassy and they require documents of his birth and his name on their birth certificate and it didn’t take long, the only thing that held us up just a tiny bit was we did something wrong and just had to send it back to them. Hope that helps!

I’m having the register the kids as foreign births first, before their passports which may be a bit of process. Thank you for your answers. I am enjoying watching your journey on making a move the Ireland. We’re excited to make our move next year.
@@davehaworthphoto Oh okay, so is one of your parents Irish? Maybe the foreign birth registry for your kids is bc their grandparent is the Irish connection? @@mcginnsteph Yes my mother was born in Ireland. And since I’m still working on my citizenship, I felt it would be quicker to run them under her, which has the additional step. Anyhow thank you for answering the questions, I look forward to your future videos.
