Just found this video and subscribed, you articulated yourself really well and I totally relate. It would be nice to follow your journey in navigating adulthood. Hope this inspires you to keep putting out more content ❤❤❤
im 23 soon although i still feel what you are saying. i had to get on my shit for real this year. it's so easy to blame external influences especially at our age and all the shit we've lived through in the last 20 years. i been reading self-improvement since i was 16, i'm at the point where i'm tryna write my own perspectives as well. this gen z shit has set the standard so high, the kids nowadays don't go outside they literally digitally socialize. life is literally solving problems and facing new ones. in terms of video ideas, continue to follow ur gut !!! peace
As practitioners of meditation will probably know: A lasting feeling of contentment comes from acceptance of life (the here and now reality) as it is. You cannot achieve lasting contentment by endlessly gratifying desire. Of course you can still improve skills and read books and do your job well, but you feel content while doing it, if you dont resist life as it is. Suffering (psychological stress) is caused by desire itself, not the life situation you find yourself in.
@@saishahayes7009 I know for sure that humans can live just fine without desire, because I do so myself. And there are millions across the planet who live like that. You can have goals, thats is fine. For example: I thought it would be cool to do a trip to London. And I`m going in two days. But this is not desire, because I`m not looking for some fulfillment in it. My life will not improve in any way by going to London. Its just for fun. Desire is to look for a sense of fulfillment in some future event. "When I get X and Y, then I`ll feel happy and content"-this does not work. Just recognizing the fallacy of trying to "find yourself in some future achievement" (desire), will be the beginning of the end of desire in you. Feel content now. And then you can take action and achieve things. But you recognize that life won`t feel more satisfying when you achieve A or B. Its just practically different. If I won 1 billion USD tomorrow, then life would feel just the same as now. -Only in slightly more luxurious circumstances.

Wow. That is a good point. But do you think humans can truly live without desire. Don't we need something to work towards....
