These strangers are potential new viewers, and she wouldn’t want to ever be disrespectful or nasty to those who had nothing to do with her previous experiences. Japan is a very respectful country (that comes with cultural differences). You shouldn’t go to a different country and completely ignore the social norms/expectations that they hold.
