Looks like you're setting yourself up for success, Alex! Thanks for breaking down your eval. I worked in Higher Ed and believe you me, speaking to what will and what won't transfer is filled with landmines. Unless I knew 100% that certain credits would transfer, I would be forced to say "Let's see what happens with your eval," otherwise students could very well end up misinformed, disappointed, or worse: spend time and money taking the wrong classes. Moving forward, the only classes that look like they should be taken back to back are the Arch and OS ones (some overlap) and Java I & II of course. Otherwise, they're pretty interchangeable. Good luck with your studies!
Thanks for the perspective! 100%- probably best to speak in vagueness, rather than say with certainty, "This WILL" or "WILL NOT" transfer over. And yeah, I plan on taking those two back to back. Looking forward to it.
@@alexdoescode1 I've only got 3 courses done on Sophia so I've got a bit to go. 2/3 months before I would finish them all but I won't be looking to enroll probably until June because that's when I'll be eligible for my company to pay for the degree and get it for free so I'll probably use that time to just strengthen my coding skills
Yes, that is a valid strategy. I've heard some people in the past do it. I know myself and one other person who did pre-study and straight up asked prior to SDC/Sopchia if I could get a transcript evaluation. To both of us, they said no. That said, different enrollment counselors my be laxer on it. So it could be our EM's.
Can you explain the grading at WGU? Do I have to do a bunch of quizzes before I can take the OA and do PAs count towards your overal grade so that your OA is less important and vice Versa? I’m doing Sophia and study right now and trying to compare the experiences.
True, if you have an AAS, AAST, AASDt from a community college, most of your Gen Ed's transfer over. WGU does have a transfer section where you can look up your college and degree. My AAST is a technical degree. By the nature of having a AA they have it designed to have your Gen Ed's met. So there is that advantage
I am technically a re-admission student from 5 years ago, I did accounting. I looked at guidelines and just started taking them on Sophia/study while getting things lined up on Wgu’s end.

Good luck man! I’ll be watching and grinding away at my prestudy material as well! 💪🏽
Thanks! When do you start?

@@Corwin64 Cool! Yeah, make sure you use that extra time to your advantage!
@@alexdoescode1 will do man! 💪🏽
I might just wait for them to evaluate my transcript before I take any classes on SDC/Sophia. Thank you!

I know this is super late. OA’s and PA’s is 100% of your grade. You simply pass the final or whatever the assignment is.

Yeah they do. It was unclear to both me and apparently my enrollment counselor as well lol
Hey whats was your method to pre-study?
It was in my very first video.
Did you apply first or just start taking classes on sophia/study
I am technically a re-admission student from 5 years ago, I did accounting.
I looked at guidelines and just started taking them on Sophia/study while getting things lined up on Wgu’s end.
My first video details the process I took.
