That bike looks like so much fun. Riding on the country roads without traffic would be a dream. Just one thing please be careful with charging the battery. They have been catching fire so if you can charge it somewhere safe so it can’t burn your house down then I will feel happy for you. Good gardening. I loathe weeding. I use a propane torch to kill weeds in my gravel. It also kills many of the weed seeds that may have fallen. Fire risk is minimal in gravel, but I always have a hose at the ready.
We do the same.

We have always had bikes (and cars) as a family. Standard bikes. Husband cycles 13km to work twice a week and upgraded to an e-bike. I got to use it when he wasn't, he upgraded his e-bike and I got his old e-bike.
I love it. I can do a 5km bike ride, arrive at the destination when I expect to, no matter the wind, and I've gotten some exercise but not enough to get sweaty.
I really need to get back into using my standard bike for shorter trips (less than 2km), which just requires me to fix the flat tyre on the front wheel. Easy job.

Hi Phil. As you said, it goes fast and you're a bit wobbly. Can I suggest a helmet, cycle gloves (with padding at the heel of the hand), long sleeves, and trousers (not shorts). A metal box with a lid and a lock sounds good, at least big enough to stick your helmet and gloves in.
Before we know it, you will have a front trailer for Lightning, and he will have doggy goggles, and you'll be off on back road adventures! 😊
You were having too much fun with the bike. LOL You will find so many uses for this bike. I use a mix of white vinegar, salt and Dawn dish soap. Spray in the early morning and let the sun do the work. The weeds/grass will turn brown within a day or so.

We found hobby baskets at craft stores were great and much cheaper than the bike store baskets.
Weed tip! In the gravel, sprinkle rock salt on the weeds and they will dry up! Rain will dissolve it and take it down to the roots! Bodda Bing, Bodda Boom!
I think that it is a brilliant addition to your "toys" Phil and will come in very handy and could save you a bunch of cash from driving your car all the time. Have fun but keep safe!!
Vinegar and salt and a spray bottle just make sure enough distance it doesn’t kill the plants you want to keep

Phil! I’m so excited for you! I just moved myself and my teenage son to an American island and I purchased two fat-tire e-bikes. We just got home from riding on the beach and we LOVE our bikes! We have such a blast and get that dopamine going, ya know? Have so much fun, Phil!

We just got a trike. Here's a tip...lay a towel in the basket, or another good basket, so you don't lose your stuff. They should make the baskets with a closer weave. Too open. Still,, love our trike. Have fun.

I got an electric bike last August and had fun. Now that it’s spring in Canada, I can get the bike out and have more fun. I live in a river valley and so this bike helps me get out. I used to be able to ride out but now I can’t so the bike helps. Great fun. 🤗🇨🇦

In France, you will be needing insurance for that bike. If it was only pedal assist you wouldn’t, but as it has a full electric option with throttle it is considered as a moped, so helmet, insurance and only on roads!!! Vivre la France

Please aware that We are in Canada and in city of 54000 there have been a few fires in houses and garages while charging the batteries ! With these electric bikes also a lot of thefts take batteries out when you are out and about ! Sorry thus new crazy world cannot leave anything unlocked even in my neighbourhood! Sad but stays a few while riding and in all walks of life! Thanks for a great video history is always exciting !

E-bikes are brilliant. Had my last bike(regular bike)35 years but had to give it away (hip trouble) so Got ebike . Just love it.
Hint Garden sprayer loaded with 1 gallon of white vinegar and 1lb salt. Shake it up and spray on the gravel you want clear. Works best on a sunny day, but a lot less back breaking.
30% vinegar if you can get it.

Enjoy your e-bike! It's definitely worth every penny! The T1 pro has improved our family's life perfectly, I don't have to drive anymore when I go camping, my father doesn't have to expend his energy to go to the supermarket two kilometres away, it has improved our family's life!

You're creative.....build a little cart or tiny trailer for larger items to tow behind your electric bike.
Just don't park it in or next to a building. The batteries catch on fire. The basket is a bit small for Lightening. Have fun with the bike.
Make lighter work, all that grass into a wheel barrow to be taken away to your compost or dump area. As it is you’ve got to lift it again to get rid of it. Arr like the bike lol 😊
There is something about being on a bike - but an electric bike, OMG how fun is that!!!!! I am buying one myself. Here in California there are 'gangs' of people riding electric bikes and they all have huge smiles plastered on their face. Simple pleasures.

Have you tried a flame thrower for the weeds in the gravel Phil? Requires fuel, but easier than pulling by hand.
When you ride a bike you just smile... A LOT. You learn to slow down & notice 'stuff' that normally you pass by in a rush to get from A to B. I hope you ride it for fun too, take trails (excellent tires) explore, splash puddles & wave at the world. just sayin' ...

Hi Phil be careful with the E-Bikes. In the USA the E-Bike batteries catch fire while charging and cause a lot of destruction. Why not but an electric Car?

Hi Phil👋 Here in the States I have been looking for an electric bike. They're easily over 2, 000. I wanted one to get back in shape. Years ago, I rode 10 miles a day without the electricity. I live in a rural area but I'm still waiting to find one at a decent price. Let me know how you like the bike, please.

Fun times. I have a pedal assist mountain bike. I'm 61 so it lets me keep up with others on the trails. You still get quite a workout. Have fun. Wear a helmet.
