It's my first comment on youtube since ever. I'm 24 yo. I suffer depression and anxiety. I go to a psycologist every week since 2 years. I have tons of problem with relations. I'm literally at that point I prefer to avoid instead of living things. Avoiding feelings, avoiding relations, avoiding doing stuff and sleeping instead, avoiding family. In this hard period of my life there was a girl. That I really liked. It took me 2 years just to understand that. That was a genuine feeling. Like my eyes were literally shining whenever I saw her. And I was avoiding that as well. One day I woke up with a thought in my mind. I really wanted to ask her out. And that was eating me inside because I couldn't. Literally I couldn't. I couldn't ask her out, and I couldn't stop thinkin about it as well, because that was a genuine feeling. I really wanted that. And after years of avoiding stuff I really couldn't even imagine doing that because I was too afraid as well.
Later that day I heard this song on the radio. When the motivational speech end, I got chills and cried. Then I couldn't stop to think about that speech (effect of anxiethy as well): "I wish I spent more time with people I love". And then like everything went togheter. I asked her out. I got a no, but I faced her, and faced it. My feeling is still real. Even if i got a no. And I am happy as hell. I will not avoid anything in my life anymore. I want to be happy and spend time with people I love, before it's too late.
