I work in an high risk environment, these tips are pure GOLD!
As always, Good stuff, Sifu Kevin!
Come to California.
Talk to some Old School BGF, AB, EME, NF, CCO/BNCO preferably with B through D numbers.
Many of them from the 60s-80s were involved in numerous hits, knife fights, knife take aways etc.
This should always be practiced in slow-mo "BEFORE" practicing in a fast-pace.
Always tough to counter a blade. Esp if your opponent knows how to use. Good way to train is with magic markers. You see how much you'll get cut. Protip: wear old clothes training..
/Thanks Kevin

because of armchair "experts", you have to mention that running is always the best option, I wish we didn't have to cater to trolls...
I wouldn't call someone who questions a technique a troll necessarily. I guess the content of the comment would matter but self defense is not an absolute and it's important to respectfully question others rather than considering his teachings as dogma.
Don't underestimate the enemy. Ridiculous way of defending a knife. 😅
