@@radiowollaton8521 It's human nature, Pat; we all have the potential to be like that. I think the whole idea of a 'remix' is to change it, for the better hopefully. If there's distortion, subdued vocals where they used to be prominent, or any technical problem, then it's worth mentioning. As you said, it keeps you on your toes. I just remembered the first comment I ever left you. It was the subdued vocals on MacArthur Park. Just keep in mind that the world is full of these people and you're bound to get complaints instead of helpful suggestions. Consider that to stay optimistic.

Mixing is art form for a particular sound you going for. The original mix has the "Na Na" Choruses all in the center and down in the mix to make it sound like its a crowd singing along. When you you spread those back vocals out in the stereo field and put them up it lost that effect. Try to either pump up and spread the stereo field of all instruments and put the back vocals down. That should do the trick otherwise good mix.
Thanks for the feedback Daniel. I have to disagree with you about the backing vocals though. If you look at the David Frost show video, the Beatles are surrounded by the crowd, singing along. I wanted maximum stereo spread on the chorus, to make it sound like I was in the crowd listening to this performance !
@@radiowollaton8521 Yeah , thats what I was saying , the stereo field of the crowd was good but the instrumentals need to be spread in stereo to make the sound full. Use a plugin to spread the stereo on the instruments. I have one that does that. It makes it sound like a room noise and cheap like a radio mix but it works with this mix in this case.

The 2023 Giles Martin remix is perfection. There is absolutely nothing I can do to make that one sound better !
