Goodwill in my area can be hit or miss. You could go months without finding anything of substance but every now and again you'll get lit. I think the best thing I ever hauled from a Goodwill was a "Not For Resale" copy of Majora's Mask for the 64. Paid 50 cents for it.

I wish the Goodwills here in California would still have Thrift Store Prices. But now they're closer to retail and sometimes over retail. I have to wait for their sales to get a good price on anything.

I doubt they'll go back to the thrift store prices were used to seeing. I think anyone who runs a thrift store is catching on to people buying certain games. It's not bad but considering these are donations from people, they should price accordingly. Not compete with ebay, Gamestop and other retail stores.
My best goodwill pickup in recent times when I picked up 5 new in box guardian of the galaxies Nerf Star Lord quad blasters. $3.99 each. Sold 4 for $75 each and kept one.

Sweet finds bro. My best Good will find was finding a huge stack of Game Boy, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games. Mario and Pokemon games. They were all $2 to $5 and used a 25% off coupon. It's in one of my old pick up videos from like 5 years ago. It's good to still find stuff for decent prices at Good Will after all of these years.

Never really found anything at goodwills since i never really go to them because of studies, but i remember when i was a teen going to garage sales in the suburbs and picking up a boxed nes action set for 10$ with a loose super metroid for 2$.
Awesome! A couple years ago I found Fire n Ice for the NES at my local Goodwill. It was just sitting on a shelf, face up, with nothing else around it. Definitely my favorite Goodwill find.

Gemini Jet Force is the only N64 I've ever played in my life I'm a PLAYSTATION guy but I have the Rare Replay from Rare on XBOX ONE because they remastered it for the system.

Not all of this was at a Goodwill store, but I have found Clay Fighter Sculptor's Cut for $4, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Die Hard NES, Wild Guns SNES and other older games here and there. It's a lot harder to find stuff now though. There are some guys that live around here that make it a job to find as much of the older stuff as possible. Plus stores look stuff up more and more now and price things too high.
Nice! You have definitely found your share of gems. And yeah, it is getting harder to find stuff like this these days. Garage sales are the best bet in my area. But those are only in the summer

Last summer, I picked up..Breath of fire IV, Final fantasy VII, and Tales of Destiny II for $15 buck at the same time in Goodwill.. Plus, the time I grab Futurama for $2.50 at salvation army...I was geeking!

best non-gaming find: a bunch of boxed anime figures (avg value like $40+ each) for $8 each

My best goodwill pick up was 2 years ago feb i found a brand new panosonic 3do 2nd model at goodwill. It was opened but inside everything was still wrapped never played at all the Gex game it came with was also sealed. Paid 19.99

best video game find was a Pokemon Soulsilver complete in plastic case and cardboard outer box it included the little poke walker as well! it was 5 bucks and sold it for 130

My best pickup is when i got a stack of 10 ps1 games for 20 dollars. Ape Escape, all Resident Evil games, Croc, and some more. This though certainly is much more glorious then that lol.

the goodwill here sometimes has good prices but other times they check ebay and usually over price things so its hard to get good deals but i have gotten PS4 and Xbox games sealed for $6 each

Great haul! My best game find was Enchanted Folk for nintendo ds. Found it in the flea market for 2-3£ British and sold it 1 week later for 69£ 🤑 still kinda learning the games better and better, picked up another weird game yesterday for nintendo ds, some kind Advocate of someone ( sorry cant remember the name) is worth like 30£ english money ...

In england I dont ever see much of nintendo 64 games and even if I do the prices are usually very very high. USA is full of gems.

Best gaming find - Final Fantasy IX complete for $2. Probably not the most money in a game but in my eyes the best find.
Best find period - two $15 a piece combo VCR/DVD in-box. total of $30 that turned into about $560 before fees.

Back in the mid 2000s it wasn't uncommon to regularly find consoles for 5 dollars a piece. Now I'm lucky if I find random sports titles at any local goodwills.

Goodwill has it's own auction website and it also sells on eBay anything of higher value and interest. Even in store they've began individually pricing games. So, I find this video hard to believe.
I find it hard to believe too! And I found the stuff. Lol I think part of it was that the employees may have overlooked that they were video games. They were placed in the board game section

I found McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure for the sega genesis along with a ton of other sega, nes, and n64 games a few days ago at my local thrift store. All for $2 a piece. Definitely my best find yet
My best finds at Goodwill was Original gameboy with Pokémon Pinball for $4, GBAs/GBA SPs for $6 each, Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess/Collector's edition GC $5 each, Pokemon Colosseum $2.50, Doom 2 GBA $5 and LoZ Link to the Past and Mega Man X $5 each and SNES with cords & third party $15

Yes I have also found some found some incredible deals also at yard sales, estate sales, swap meets, pawn shops and of course thrift stores and if don’t go out and try you will never find anything, but yes boxed N64 games gotta be pretty rare

surely, the employees must be really ignorant. Here in the chicagoland area, they would have put those in the goodwill auction. I wish i lived in your area. The finds you come across are surreal.
In this case, they thought the games were board games. It was a fluke, as it hasn't happened in hundreds of visits before or after at any other Goodwill around here

That's the dream! The closest Goodwill to me is about an hour away so I've only been to it once, but I've found some good stuff at thrift stores! I got some cib N64 games, they were Mortal Kombat Sub Zero and Turok 2, so not too great, at a separate time I got DBZ Budokai Tenkaichi 3 on PS2 for $1!

Yea the first couple weeks it was open were nuts. The prices are starting to become higher though. Hopefully it keeps getting good stuff and continues to be one of the best goodwills
My best place for good finds is a salvation army about 30 miles away. I've gotten quite a bit of dreamcast games there recently, as well as a complete Wii u For 60 dollars.

My best gaming find at goodwill was a game cube for 5.99 and go go hypergrind in the same day. I've had better luck with pay by the pound good wills found about 30 n64 games mostly sports.

Well i got a ps1 slim, xbox 360, ps3 slim, sega genesis, sega dreamcast, and sega saturn for 20 each but no controllers, games or hookups
