The purpose of the non-return valve is to allow the metering of material to the front of the screw during plasticizing. It also doesn’t allow the back flow of material down the screw during injection.
Dear Ramphal Uttam, do you mean ¾ inch is the barrel diameter? In general it depends on material and screw design. Also mixing any additives into the material (colorant, uv stabilizer, plasticizers) makes a difference. Could you perhaps clarify your question a little?
