    At least he's honest in expressing he's thoughts.

    Eubank had incredible talent and was always honest. I loved that golden era of super middleweight boxing.
    Him and Nigel Benn's rivalry is one of the best to this day

    How can you not like Eubank

      Yeah, a good fighter but on a better day he's an obnoxious arrogant knob, and i'm being kind here.

      A lot of English people don't like it when their countrymen bask in their own glory, whether they've earned it or not. Especially if they're not white upper class males.

    chris eubank what a fucking legend.. just seen 1 to 6 and all the way through he was the perfect gentleman, when at times he was being goaded to react badly.. even at the end when the scot asked him why he still wanted to box after making all the money he needed, eubank can even admit when he is/was wrong.. you don't see that in many fighters..
    few could even stand a chance with eubank in the ring, in his day. the guy is a smart fighter. thats why he was so good.. thing is he was too much of a nice guy to stay on top. if he had that nasty shit in him to make him fight a little more dirty, (he was a tad cheeky with his forehead) who knows where he would have ended up, well even if he won more fights that way he would be a less respectable boxer at the end of it all.. eubank will never be forgotten!
    i feel a bit bad for his son trying to fill his shoes in the ring, hasn't got the same chin, or as good on the counter.. he is not hungry enough to go all the way, well thats my humble opinion..

      Agree with everything bar his son having a good chin, definitely does have a granite chin like sr

    l must admit he's the most perfect gentle man that ever fought. The way he speak and the manner he comport himself, one will think he came out with 1st class degree in Oxford. Really got a lot of respect for him.

      @jbrodie007 8 років тому +2

      Really??? I thinks he's great in terms of charisma and boxing ability, but certainly doesn't come across as educated as you say. But he tries very hard bless him. Respect.

      He never used to speak like that if you hear his early interviews , it’s a fake accent & he learned big words

  • @ruairiose7335

    Eubanks is basically saying he kept boxing because he was an attention seeker who loved the fame boxing gave him.

      Ruairí Ó Sé That's clearly wrong, because he states that he had his day and now has to find other areas to accomplish.

    Eubank did not say, "I should have killed him". Why does this video have this title?

    Its hard being an ex boxer ask any of us as soon as you see the ring you want to jump back into it. So many find it hard to walk away and those who reach the top find it even harder because they are walking away from big money and all the glamour.

    He was a pioneer - an original "influencer" and really understood the need to use his status and platform.

  • @adlofheltirchiefadvisortot40
    @adlofheltirchiefadvisortot40 5 років тому +1

    eubank in his mind,needed a platform to speak, and he got it through boxing.. fair play to him.. an inspiration

  • @geoffdillon4637

    Now I'm going to end up saying "platform" 50 times a day until it sends me crazy!

    Eubank I like very much and always like to hear what he has to say he's also very confident and honest and some people just can't handle that and dislike him but if you're honest with yourself you will have no choice but to admit that very few people can even dream to live what he has lived

  • @markadriantomlinson200
    @markadriantomlinson200 7 років тому +1

    This explains a lot. I am referring to the fact that at least until Eubank jr steps into the ring, Eubank sr always seems to purposely steals focus.

      Jimmy Neal 2 years ago I was 14 and new to boxing. My opinions have since changed; I’ve since been properly-informed of the night in question. It was only the faults of those who were supposed to ensure the correct medical staff were at hand (which they weren’t).

    • @WillWright77
      @WillWright77 4 роки тому

      Jimmy Neal You have absolutely no reason to apologise. I only wish you’d educated me when I first left that comment. You weren’t at all rude.

    • @shaungreen4756
      @shaungreen4756 4 роки тому

      @Jimmy Neal It was an great fight
      Its such a shame it ended so tragically. it was no one's fault, it has happened occasionally over the years and all boxers know the risks.

    the two interviewers are awful
    this may have been the new trend of journalists to be all casual in their interviewing style?
    Mr eubanks is awesome
    thanks for the video

    with all the rude, , arrogant, superficial people who are around, wouldn't we want to take it out on one of the most polite people who still strive to speak honestly and kindly with others? Chris has always been himself, he deserved what he got, the last one to be accused of anything, I've never seen him disrespect anyone!

    Eubank trying to sound like an educated person and come over a plank. All the time he was in the ring i wanted someone to give him a boxing beat up.

  • @mogwai250
    @mogwai250 12 років тому

    don't agree with that. holyfield has been down way more than eubank. i also never really saw eubank REALLY hurt (he was pretty hurt in wastson 2 but then 10 secs later knocked waston down) where holyfeild has been badly hurt many times.

  • @terrynolan5831

  • @mogwai250
    @mogwai250 11 років тому

    i have seen that fight. also why is is every talking about eubank at crusierweight. he had 2 fights at CW. he was best as middlewighet (he lost some power at super middle) and in fact was undefeated as a MW. and again holyfeild was badly hurt many times. eubank never was.

    Quit revealing, and why he rides on his kids coat tails, has to be at every interview, every tv appearance, eaubanks jnr is gold, his last fight showed him as something special, something unusual! But he will never be one of the greats until he cuts daddy's apron strings! It's starting to look embarrassing! Jnr like some ventriloquists dummy, while dad does the talking. It needs to stop or he is going to ruin a potentially great GREAT fighter. Back off dad, your day has come and gone.
