To ShineyPennies. I forgot to mention that the reason there no chairs or only a couple of chairs at the Martini Bar is that over the years drunk guests have fallen off of them and injured themselves. They were removed for about 3-4 years but are being brought back. Next visit, go to SPOT restaurant for lunch. They have a beautiful pool and the atmosphere is a lot more relaxed.
Go to know about the chairs. We did the SPOT for breakfast in the next vlog video and didn't love it. Check out the video and new day 4 video dropping tonight.

Are you there? Try "new" stuff and you'll be glad you did. I usually dislike seafood, and I tries the tuna chiviche and it was amazing. Don't get roped into the resort timeshare BS. We spoke to another couple who did it it was SUPER expensive and they only did it to get a comped dinner on the beach. We avoided the sales pitch it like the plague. The spa was good (always wheel and deal to get better offerings) and if you choose to just relax during you're there you do that too. It was close to Cancun airport which was nice. Pro tip- we booked private travel to and from so we didn't have to make numerous stops with strangers at other resorts. ENJOY! Let us know how your experience was.
@@2shinypennies598 we are here! Our travel advisor gave us a heads up about not getting roped into the time share our vacation club. I appreciate the tip though. Haven’t seen any spa specials yet even after asking. We also have private transportation and I’m glad for that. Have found most of the staff to be fabulous!
@@2shinypennies598 Just got back yesterday. It was great, being away from Covid was a blessing. This resort took safety to another level. I felt safer there, than at my local grocery store. All restaurants had QR menus. All staff wore masks, 24/7. The staff is AMAZING! The food is the best I've ever had. I've been too around 15 all inclusives, and this was by far the best. The room is huge, and the outdoor shower is great! Our personal concierge was not good. I was traveling with a girl friend, who has lost her husband last year. Once her heard that he knew we we not buying a time share, he didn't want anything to do with us. We never saw him. The pools were super cold. I wouldn't go back this time of year.
@@jenniferkleine4713 The concierges are merely lead generators for the sales team selling time shares. We avoided them and only relied on them when we had a room issue as seen in our first El Dorado video. Glad you enjoyed the food. I surprised the pools were cold. I'm guessing the weather was in the 80s? But overall glad they are being safe and you had a good time!
Enjoyed both of your videos. I have been coming to EDR for the past 14 years and LOVE it there. Next time you go, check out the rates in the spa and then negotiate with the spa reps who walk around the resort. You can get a better deal. Just a suggestion, when filming at the restaurants, dont talk with food in your mouth. Just a pet peeve of mine, seeing food in another's mouth while they talk :(. As for the tomatoes, they are grown on the prperty along with most of the vegetables.
