  • Welcome to Ameland, the last of the Dutch islands I visited earlier this year. Nes was such a relaxed and pretty town, the Dutch windmill definitely worth a visit (they still make mustard there by the way). The 150 year old lighthouse Bornrif sits beautifully located between the dunes of the national park. Let me know what you thought of Ameland, everyone's favorite Dutch island in the Wadden Sea!

Just got back from Ameland myself and soon returning! What makes this video nice is that it is not about the girl and we get a comprehensive sample of the municipality. The music choses suits the video - the video is delightful and quiet soothing to watch but keep the tourists away.

Such a nice comment, thank you Matthew, I appreciate it! The Netherlands is a very special place to me, as I have lived in the country myself and could see myself returning one day. It also doesn't go unnoticed how the comments on my videos from the Netherlands reflect the people there. I can't wait to return, next time without the tourists 😉

Brings back so many memories… I used to visit there every year, because my grandfather was an Amelander. Hope you had a nice time. I love the island for many reasons, but honestly feel Terschelling has more to offer. Especially with the town in the west, next to the ferry.

That's what these videos are for 🤗 Thanks for your kind comment! I'll have to make sure to see Terschelling for myself when I get the chance to go back 🥰

@@francescadiana I usually go to Terschelling for the amazing art. Music and theater festival Oerol that unfortunately hasn’t been held the last two years because of Covid. They usually also have a few shows in English, but I like the art installations in nature the most. West Terschelling with the lighthouse the Brandaris (oldest in the Netherlands) is a charming town with a cute center and nice beaches and Harbor. Midsland is another town that is worth a visit. And obviously the Dunes, beaches and forest are incredibly nice. The island has come of the largest beaches in the Netherlands. But I will stop (over) selling it. (I don’t have any stakes in the tourist industry..) ;)

@@sanderdeboer6034 I'm sold! 😂 It's a bummer I wasn't able to go to Terschelling this time, but now it's definitely on my radar! I love art and music and I understand quite a bit of Dutch so the festival might be great 😊🥳 Thank you so much for sharing!! Dankjewel :)

Hey there! The mustard mill we visited is definitely still being used. They don't have it running all day though, so if you go to visit, give them a call beforehand to know when exactly you can see the mill being operated 😊
