I follow quite a few farmers, homesteaders, etc. as well as a few commercial operations. I must say that this homestdad life you and your family are building is, hands down, the neatest, cleanest, most organized and most BEAUTIFUL operation I have seen. I could go on and on, but let it be enough to say, "Well done, Brown Family"!!!
As Thor gets older he will settle in and then He won't want to be anywhere else but with his herd .

So glad you're so patient with Thor. You clearly recognize that while he is much bigger now, that can be misleading. The fact is that he is still very much a puppy. And he still has more to learn. Of course, you have experience with larger dogs - and wisdom. That is wonderful.
Sahara did so well getting her ears pierced! Back to square one with Thor.
As you say, Thor is still a puppy. It does take most LGD's about two years to really learn the job and to settle into maturity. Thor is doing really well. 💖💖💖
Hello Brown family, he might have been protecting the goats by chacing something away from the farm at least he is still on the farm and he didn't run off. Sahara Jase was so afraid but then she saw them in the mirror she loved them She is so adorable!!! Love you all, God bless and until next time take care

The girls did a great job. Extra hugs and kisses for them. Thor is so handsome and cuddly looking. He just thought it was also part of his job to move around and be out/about like Achilles. SJ you did wonderful getting your ears pierced.

It doesn't surprise me that Thor got out. From what I've known of LSGDs they are resistant about moving to a new herd. When one of my Uncles sold off his dairy goats his LSGD got out and tracked them for nearly 20 miles to their new home. Odds are if it hadn't been for the hot wire on the boys fence, he would have gone back in with them.
Oh how cute your daughters are and I’m glad you are sharing them with us. Makes one wish you could bottle up all those cute things your kids are doing.

Thor just makes me smile. He wants lovin' and to play with the other dogs I guess. He is very smart. He was raised inside the pen with all the other animals, so I'm sure he just wants the baby goats to play. He's a beautiful , big, loving puppy. He'll get this, I know y'all love him. He's just seeing how smart YOU are. LOL

Your place is so nice, so well kept! Beautiful! Good job!That blue pail needs a shave, lol. You could give it a trim, using the torch you have. The fuzz would melt and make a kind of lip that might not fray for a good while. This is not certain though. Just a thought I had.
You can get a shock collar for Thor it can be set for a certain range and if he goes beyond that range it will give him a mild shock. That will keep him in,

I first saw you when you got Thor from Eddy Family Farm. I was watching so many You Tube channels that I couldn’t keep up so I unsubscribed to some that I didn’t like as much.

I moved from Naples Florida to McAlpin Florida 2 1/2 years ago became I got tired of the swamp and getting hit by hurricanes. I moved at the end of October 2021 and got hit by Hurricane Idalia last August. I had a lot of damage and still trying to recover.
Love the video, as always. ooof geese, they are messy and loud. Get a donkey or a Llama. They don't gross up anything water, they will guard things, and are quite most of the time.
Put a brick in those areas. Longhorn Lester had to do that because his goats would get out under the gates also.
You might bury a square of fencing where he is digging.
Just love that bottle brush tree! That moss is like "GOAT COTTON CANDY"!!!!😊 You have a very well maintained farm! Your grounds are getting ready to burst with color! Frankie wants to get in that water trough, but it is too high! Jason's emu, Goldie, finally got into their pond!!!!! She's enjoying the pond while Nugget has "nest duty"!!! If he does touch that rope you might have to get a shock collar to reinforce that rope! Give him 1 shock when he touches the rope and he will think it was the rope!! Just a radiczl thought if he keeps escaping! Love to the kids and Natalie and grandma and an extra get well kiss for MR Pharoah!😊❤ What do you do about the flies on the cows?
Hey hey 👋🏾 Considering how the flies already are & it’s not even summer yet we will likely go ahead & start them on their fly deterrent which is garlic mixed in with their minerals. Typically does a good enough job but if it get worse as we get into the Summer we will consider other options ❤️😊
Just found your channel! Love it so far. We are actually from Pensacola Florida and just moved to Bankston Alabama and bought 12 acres in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Starting from scratch! Also we used to have a Thor, he was also a master of sneaking out :-)

Your earrings look beautiful Sahara. 💮 We had a digger dog that we struggled with once too. We cut a few rows of the inner sections out of cattle panels and pushed them down into the ground around the fence and that kept him from being able to dig. Always a challenge to find a solution.
Try putting cinder blocks ground level on his side of the fence. He can't dig out those. Lol

We are fine. Thank you for asking. We are just praying for all those affected by the tornadoes. It was bad in Oklahoma, but we will get through it. OKC was bypassed by the storms but lots of destruction especially south in Sulphur, Okla. Everyone is helping though. Over will be victorious in the end! Love yall. Be safe♥️

We will likely have to turn it on for him to learn the boundary of this new pasture he is now in. Once he touches it once that should be enough for him to not test it again.
During the day can he be with you guy a little bit . Then if you not outside put him back .
What is zuses job on the farm, and why do you keep him in a cage ?

Zeus is just a pet, and he is only caged at night(his cage is a large one😆).As we continue his training, our goal is for him to be left out like Achilles at night so he can come and go as he pleases around the property. He is still a pup that doesn’t realize how large he is 🤭☺️ so he can be pretty destructive sometimes.

Lol. Thor says I want my boys back. It's too funny. Sahara, you were very brave !! Great job!! Inflation is real, but the price gouging is worse, and they blame it on inflation. Inflation is only 3.5, still higher than 2020, but everything was out of stock , and we were coming out of a pandemic. It's still way lower than other countries, which came out of the same pandemic for sure.
If he find its not hot will you place a hot wire for a while until he feels comfortable there,have a bless day😮🪻❣️🇺🇸
