In my opinion contestant three four and five for the top! I worked with Trent carlini who did Elvis impersonation here in Las Vegas.. I also work with Michael Conti who is an Elvis impersonator also does Elvis wedding has been a friend of mine for the past 25 years I worked with him as well. Rick saucedo who has been number one Elvis in the suburban areas of Illinois and I've known him for more than 30 years.
I give them props for daring to impersonate Elvis. Let's face it, Elvis was not only handsome, but he was also beautiful (there's a video with Jerry Reed talking about him as the most handsome man he'd ever seen and joked that he wished he was a girl LOL) and on top of that, he had a very eccentric sense of fashion. It's difficult to not look like a caricature or sound empty like Johnny Bravo.
Too bad he was gay/ bi with make up, mascara, hair dye, face lift etc and with Nick Adams...... More like the Queen of Rock n Roll. 😆 If natural in real life, He actually doesn't look anything like how he portrayed himself to be on stage or in public. Took ALOT of Work! 😆 Cybil Shepherd, lady who played elvira, Natalie Wood and others thought he was gay when they were with him in the 1950's because he could never get turned on to girls. The opposite illusion later created to hide himself from that. Hell, even Pricella Said he didn't touch her romantically or sexually for 6 years straight after being married. He definitely had some gay tendencies in the closet that they could hide back then from public or at least tried too better.
@@fey__3919 Saw Ben Portsmouth on stage and he swore and got a little blue with the audience. He thought he was being funny but it just totally ruined the night for us. He broke character and popped the bubble. He is talented but I wouldn't go back to see him again.
Impersonating Elvis is a strange sub-art form -- not to be disparaged because its no easy feat to master -- not only the look, the moves, but in a few rare cases even the voice. I give these performers a lot of credit for being the best they can be. And if you have to imitate someone it might as well be Elvis.

He would not let Elvis star unless he got top billing. Elvis was devastated, it was his last chance for anything during that time. Streisand could have whipped him into shape and saved his life. Shawn Klush, came close, but there was only one Elvis! Even Joe Esposito was brought to tears at Shawn’s impression of Elvis said he felt like it was Elvis himself. Interestingly, even Elvis said he liked Andy Kaufman’s impersonation of him!
I saw Ben Portsmouth live on the Gold Coast Queensland Australia, and after having seen many many tribute artists over the years, (and being one myself in the 1990's) He is without a doubt the Ultimate Elvis., voice, looks, presence, he has it all. His portrayal of the 1977 Rapid City concert, was beyond belief! Cody Ray Slaughter as the 1950's Elvis (when Cody was younger) and I like Bill Cherry, for stage presence and personality! My top 3.....
Cody was a good 50s act when he was considerably younger, but the only one I've heard who could capture Elvis' early voice (not exactly, of course) is Jake Rowley.
Being an Elvis tribute myself Ben has best voice of all hitting them high notes and tones [his English accent is only thing i hear once in a while that bugs me lol but 95% there]. Looks very close too except shows too much chest but great facial side profiles especially. Trent Carlini was top 3 for me personally as well

Ben Portsmouth, Andy Kaufman, (Elvis said Andy was his favorite impersonation of him (tribute), Shawn Klush, (My personal favorite, and probably the best Elvis Tribute Artist ever.), Cody Ray Slaughter, probably the best younger Elvis Tribute Artist, not sure about the last one, but might be Rick Saucito.
I've just cone from listening to elvis himself singing suspicious minds . the first one blows my mind I don't need to rate the others. the first impersonator is spot on for me.
Ben Portsmouth is absolutely brilliant. But it's never the same. No matter who tries to be like the king. Not going to happen. Sorry peeps. Just my opinion.
For those who don't know who the last Elvis Impersonator is, it's Freddie Starr a UK Comedian who sadly passed away in 2019. Here is a link to a short concert he did in tribute to Elvis which I honestly think is worth a look ua-cam.com/video/kUSuaXzEfzg/v-deo.html For me Freddie was one of the best impersonators only to be outdone by the wonderful Shawn Klush. Both singing voices are so natural, but Shawn Klush has Elvis' talking voice as well so easily incorporates that into his singing voice, which makes it sound so natural and so very much Elvis.
Never seen any of them but the last guy was closest to Elvis' voice. Shawn Klush is THE best Elvis act I have seen, I have been an Elvis fan 56 years so I am very critical .
That’s a very true statement, but thanks to this impersonators he’s memory is kept alive, is more then it can be said about other artists that had pass and no one can bring a live version.
This was a great compilation of Elvis songs. They all did a great job, but there's always something missing though. The one and only Elvis could make songs sound amazing without even trying. It was truly a God given talent. Elvis would be proud. (At least I think)
NOBODY on earth will ever replace Elvis Presley Feature. Doesn't matter if they can sing like Elvis...Whole feature are just not like the real Elvis Presley.
Finally, after all these years, a guy from Poland (a country in Europe) answers all your prayers. No need to buy me a beer, but a simple “thank you” is well appreciated. 1. Ben Portsmouth - Suspicious Minds 0:00 - 4:17 2. Andy Kaufman - That's When Your Heartaches Begin 4:17 - 8:09 3. Shawn Klush - Bridge over Troubled Water 8:09 - 12:21 4. Cody Ray Slaughter - If I Can Dream 12:21 - 15:26 5. Freddie Starr - An American Trilogy 15:26 - 19:29

Dee--I'm not one of the aforementioned, but I'm at least in the top 1,500.
@@mander40101 Sorry. To me there is only ONE Elvis Presley. How could you even suggest and compare? Please spare me Jesus.😒😠☹️😡🧐🙄😒😤
The last one is Freddie Starr
@@angekriekenbeek5935 shut up fat
No body can take Elvis place but them guys are super great they are good
I've just cone from listening to elvis himself singing suspicious minds . the first one blows my mind I don't need to rate the others. the first impersonator is spot on for me.
I was blown away too. I was like is that original play back. Or is he singing
Ben.Potsmouth is amazing 👏
Cody Ray Slaughter is the most versatile Elvis Presley impersonater.
Thank you for the link.
😀Have a lovely day.
but must be phisicial look , not his copys songs
Sorry but Freddy Star is deffinatly not one of the best. He is ok but does not sound like Elvis. !!
@@JIMMIX7 If the jordanaires say Freddy Star was the best , then he is ......
@@SISU889 Play Freddy singing an Elvis song. Then put Elvis on singing the same song, and your ears will tell you. Freddy sounds nothing like Elvis.
Never seen any of them but the last guy was closest to Elvis' voice. Shawn Klush is THE best Elvis act I have seen, I have been an Elvis fan 56 years so I am very critical .
8:00 Shawn Klush. My favorite. Possibly the closest to Elvis you can find nowadays.
Embarrassing nowadays; increasingly tone deaf!
Who is the first guy?
Ben Portsmouth
Great love and respect for the best looking man in the universe
Shawn klush! Ben is good too but let’s not forget bill cherry
Eh. Just proving to me once again there’ll never be another Elvis v
It s not the question at all ...
Another Elvis it the title of my third autobiography.
No the'll never be but they all 5 of them were verry good ud have to admit👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟💥💥💥💥💥💖💖💖💖💖
I've seen many Elvis impersonators, the worst was Elvis himself ( watching him at the end was sad and pathetic!
@@joeconner2231 what do you even mean lol elvis presley is a elvis presley impersonator while he is elvis himself???
That’s a very true statement, but thanks to this impersonators he’s memory is kept alive, is more then it can be said about other artists that had pass and no one can bring a live version.
Stevie Riks did great impersonations of Elvis. Please try his, The Impossible Dream, and, If I can Dream.
This was a great compilation of Elvis songs. They all did a great job, but there's always something missing though. The one and only Elvis could make songs sound amazing without even trying. It was truly a God given talent. Elvis would be proud. (At least I think)
BEN PORTSMOUTH NO1 ETA WORLDWIDE.
Is the last guy Freddie Starr,
Just my opinion the best of all time are Rick Saucedo and Dean Z and shawn klush
Check out Billy Wayde.. a good friend of mine
NOBODY on earth will ever replace Elvis Presley Feature. Doesn't matter if they can sing like Elvis...Whole feature are just not like the real Elvis Presley.
Absolutely sooo true nobody can replace ELVIS ❤❤❤ he just had it all ❤ 💘💙💔
Was the last one Freddie Starr??? I’m positive it is!
Eddie Miles was the best of all time then shawn klush they are number 1 and 2 .....numbers 3 - 5 is a toss up but those 2 did it the best
yeah agree one hundred percent
Special mention: a still living Elvis Presley who is now working as an Elvis impersonator
Has anybody even looked at Trent Carlini. He looks like Elvis right down to the crooked smile.
Yeah he sure does💖🌟💖
Trent Carlini was amazing...may he rest in peace...
Yes he did
Finally, after all these years, a guy from Poland (a country in Europe) answers all your prayers. No need to buy me a beer, but a simple “thank you” is well appreciated.
1. Ben Portsmouth - Suspicious Minds 0:00 - 4:17
2. Andy Kaufman - That's When Your Heartaches Begin 4:17 - 8:09
3. Shawn Klush - Bridge over Troubled Water 8:09 - 12:21
4. Cody Ray Slaughter - If I Can Dream 12:21 - 15:26
5. Freddie Starr - An American Trilogy 15:26 - 19:29
Shawn Klush has got a real spirit of Elvis 🥰🤩
Shawn Klush 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ben Portsmouth gives me chills! He looks more like Elvis and sings exactly like Elvis, and I've seen Elvis in person in concert!!
Wow how old r u now
@@theocasillas4052 Not old enough! :)
Ben is most definitely the very best
I'm a huge Elvis fan and saw Ben for the 1st time in October 22. I'm not ashamed to say that I cried when I 1st heard him sing. He is amazing. 🎸🎶❤
Also Dean Zeligman Bill Cherry Dwight Icenhower Pete Storm Crhis Connor Michael Chambliss Gordon Davis
Bill cherry Elvis in the 70s and Cody ray slaughter in the 50s and 60s are the best..thats my opinion
