I just found you guys and subscribed. As with many comments with ideas for y'all mine is no different. In your quest to save space in your vehicle perhaps consider losing your 10x10 pop-up. I have a couple of those. I rarely bring them when I camp because they are big, bulky, and heavy...and I have a conversion van so I do have room and yet I do not bring it. Instead, consider creative use of a tarp supported by a rope tied to strategic trees. You can create more shade and rain shelter more easily than with that pop-up and it can survive the storms easier. It takes practice and imagination but I'm an absolute beast when it comes to creating a tarp shelter. Place the mouth of your tent under the tarp so it's easy to get in and out during rain
For the first 25 years after moving to Arkansas in 1972, I hated it. Then I discovered the Ouachitas, then the Ozarks and finally the Buffalo. Now you couldn't drag me away . . . except during the summer. Cody, you are right about every state having special places. But only Arkansas has the special places you have found right here in your own backyard and mine. Thank you for making me even more grateful to be living in the "Natural State". So now you can pick your climate year around. Enjoy.
How in the world could you ever hate Arkansas, we knew 25 years ago that it is a paradise and have been trying ever since to get here, but just couldn't make a living here, now that hubs IT business is totally mobile, we came we saw we conquered, built a new house at the top of a mountain and will never look back to the big city (San Antonio) and now thanks to Dome Life, we are back into tent camping...and I turned 71 on Tuesday!! Thanks Cody and Kelly!
I am 62 now and living full time RV life the last 3 years but am overseases right now , I lived in a tent the first 4 months of my marriage in 1980 ....I am divorced now of 11 years and i love seening young people like you guys living free and happy , God bless you both and great videos .
Looking forward to watching your future travel plans. With Cody’s drone and camera skills, I’m sure we’re in for some awesome videography. Of course, Kelly’s cooking is always special. Gives me great ideas. Stay well. 🤓🇨🇦
I just found you guys . I'm so excited to follow you on your travels. I am in my middle 60's. I have always wanted to travel and love the outdoors. So I have decided it's time to act. I recently bought a Dodge Grand Caravan for camping and traveling in. I'm still trying to figure out everything I will need . I want to see how I would like the life style. I was planning on sleeping in the van . But , I decided to get a 4 person tent because I have a very large dog. ( A Mastiff) I was worried about him not having enough room in the van if I had a bed in it. and am also worried about it being too hot for us in the van. So I'm looking forward to learning more from you. I'm hopefully I will be ready in a couple of weeks to start out doing weekend adventures.😊
yes she is and when she wrote her number on the back of the receipt for Cody she chose a great partner to experience life Some times us guys don't do the picking.glad Cody responded and did not pass on a great life experience where you can each share your experiences and expertise
I just took Introduction to Neuroscience at UCA. Near the end the professor mentioned the importance of dopamine and serotonin. Doing things that make for a happy and meaningful life is the best way to have sufficient dopamine and serotonin. You have each other and you are planning a life that is meaningful and fulfilling for both of you. Best wishes for lives full of dopamine and serotonin and thank you for allowing us to tag along..
I have to admit that I had no idea what outdoor Arkansas was like until your channel. Even my old navy buddies never really talked about what it was like there. Now, I want to go so bad.
Can I come live with you guys? I really just want Kelly’s cooking, e.g., pizza, cinnamon rolls, biscuits, French toast, etc. I promise to collect the firewood!
Wonderful.......here's a tip, place your biscuits so that they are touching and watch them rise HIGH. ....just saying, I love to cook and bake and just share some magic with others who do too! Happy Camping!
My wife and I lived at a lake house.. we sold everything and three weeks, the motorcycles the jet skis the pontoon ski boat all the water toys now I'm boondocking in a 6 by 12 trailer
I've got a 10x14 Springbar tent that we keep in case a hurricane blows or house away; my dream is to sell it all except the tent and do what you guys are doing. I've lived in Florida for way too long. More power to you.
You two are great! I'll be 65 and retired about two years ago. I am so tired of the rat race. My entire life working in Chicago. Next week I am coming down. I went to Walmart and filled a few carts. Came home and told my girlfriend. You should have seen the smile on her face! I was not sure how she would react but was so happy when I heard her. Before I buy another house, I am getting my 16ft Rigid Hull Inflatable, loading all the gear on the boat, and camping for a month on Lake Quichita moving from island to island. And now I have caught up with your latest u-tubes and see how you two are doing!
My family had a 36ft Travel Trailer but my job and other family commitments kept us from enjoying it. We would camp the first weekend of the year to de-winterize it with intentions to camp almost every weekend and the last few years we would camp again in the end of October just to re-winterize it. Camper payment, insurance, maintenance, storage, etc., we put out a boatload of money just for it to sit in case we had a chance to use it. So we sold it and I am also moving to a different job after 24 years. We are going back to tent camping and cant be more excited which is how I found your channel. I think it it so cool that your going to be able to live in a tent seeing the beautiful country we live in. I have been to Alaska twice and recommend you add that to your bucket list. I always wanted to spend an entire summer there and just move from point to point to experience it all. I hope to see you make that a trip at some point. Good Luck on your new adventure. Congratulations!
First off I want to say how incredibly happy I am for both of you!! I started watching you guys about a year ago it wasn't to long after my Daddy passed away, I was heartbroken but every single week I looked so forward to your videos and for that 30 mins or so I was able to just enjoy your video and set my grief aside for that brief moment in time. I love love Arkansas so much and I will miss your videos from this beautiful state but OMG am I so excited that you are living your passion living your dream and taking us all along for the ride.. you both are so deserving!!
Thank you for your kind words! We are so happy to hear that the content helped you through your fathers passing. We are also sad to hear that he passed. Don’t worry, we will be back often to our home state. Plan on being here for a few months out of the year.
Congratulations! Glad to hear this! We love the channel! Kellie likes to cook and Cody replaces ignition coils! Always something for my wife and I both (she's always been a great cook, but is always watching, learning and trying new things). We are in our 50's, sold our house last July, retired and have been full timing in a travel trailer for almost a year now and loving it! Hope to see y'all out there somewhere. Best wishes!
Proper camping! I grew up in rural central Connecticut and now live in Seattle, I find where you're at is as beautiful! Find nature as wild as it is wherever it is! You know the less people explore where you're at means the more solitude you will have! That was the case in CT but NOT in WA!!! "Seattle extends into wilderness"-so to speak! So many people in western Washington state! You're a great team!
Ok Kelli love your cooking! But try this with the Bisquit's and gravy next time ,,Add cheddar cheese to the Bisquit's and a bit of sour cream to the gravy,,yall will love it !I promise
home made biscuits and gravy? Dude- you have a real prize there- one in a million I"m thinking! Just found your channel and I'm enjoying watching your journey- I used to joke that my idea of camping was staying in a holiday inn that was over 3 years old. Crazy thing is I am seriously thinking about hitting the road in some shape or fashion.... safe travels to you two
Everything better with butter! Excited for you guys!! Had to watch this video again! I feel the same except we have a camper van. We work to pay for a house and stuff. Our real happiness comes from traveling and exploring.
The cat at the brewery was icing on the cake. I'm catching up randomly with your videos and never thought Cody's trade was accounting. I am a corporate controller and all that I do in my free time (or during my work) is checking your adventures. I enjoy all of your destinations and adventures. Thank you!
That was a wonderful surprise. Congratulations and best of luck to you on your full time adventures. So lucky. Look forward to being with you on your journey. #happycampers#domelifeforreal
Kitty is cute! Anyway, I'm living the van life here in San Diego and loving it! A massive storm hit the area today and visibility is fairly limited. I love watching your videos and pick up ideas as far as food preparation, storage, and gear that could be useful for me. As I watch the bay the fog has rolled in and the wind is making the rain fall sideways. I love camping in storms. I have 63 years of camping and backpacking experience but still learn from others. I began the van life just over four months ago but I do miss sleeping in tents or in a hammock set up, which are stored in my van in case I go boondocking or dispersed camping. A tent suggestion I have for you guys is the Gazelle T4 which literally pops up and can be deployed within three to five minutes. You can literally walk around in it and if you wish to sleep on cots the tent can accommodate two of them and leave plenty of room or space to move about. I had a T3 but returned it to buy the T4 (more space). I'm preparing my van for winter as the temperatures are dropping. Like you folks I decided I don't need a 3BR2BR house to subsist in and a converted cargo van will serve my needs well. At 74 my long bucket list can be accomplished much easier by living the nomadic life. Good luck with your new trailer set up.
Can't wait to watch your new adventures. Something to think about is to buy a used ambulance. Tons of storage inside and out. Sophisticated wiring. Some are 4 wheel drive. Research motors and transmissions before you buy.
I love Tent Camping but my Wife and Daughter and Granddaughter that live with us are not into tent camping . Yes get you a little bigger Tent and always expect the worst and always keep in mind there are some People out there that will hurt you . Enjoy yourself and LIVE LIFE .
Cordy and Kelly will Kelly will see this happy life, happy wife this is easier said than done ya it takes two go through good and bad times you guys make it good take it easy take care happy camping
We just ended a four year full time adventure traveling the country in a large 5th wheel. We are back in Little Rock to be closer to family and friends. We loved seeing the sights, visiting National Parks and living the nomad life. We don’t regret a minute of it. Some practical considerations include residency status and mail. We used South Dakota as a residency base, it had the best options for full timing and some very good mail forwarding services. You are embarking on a adventure of a lifetime, nomad life can be trying, but it will have its rewards.
@@CodyandKellie we had really important things sent to my wife’s daughters house, definitely very convenient. We established residency in South Dakota because they don’t have a State income tax or property taxes. Also, they didn’t tax retirement income. We had to have a South Dakota Address, the electronic mail thing wasn’t bad, but was sometimes a pain because of the lag times. It was also a bit expensive. Now that we have moved back to Arkansas it will be a bit more expensive in terms of taxes for sure. Y’all are going to really enjoy the full time nomad life, there is so much to see. We plan on traveling part time, and like y’all, we want to see more of the east.
I didn't think that I could camp anymore at my age I'm 64 this year and hadn't Camped in 15 years after many health problems. I'm finally doing somewhat better and for my birthday this year my son and daughter-in-law bought me a tent and I already had an air mattress and sleeping bag and other things I needed. My husband was off work because of the pandemic. So I went camping with them for six nights and had a wonderful time. Looking forward to going again next year. I live in Southwest Pennsylvania in the Laurel mountain area is where we camp. Nothing like being outside to chill and get over the stress of everything in this crazy world. Love your channel and videos. It's like being there makes it so special. And you guys are awesome. ‼️❤️
Hello! New subscriber here. I am a retired senior, and would love to see the country as you kids are doing. Only trouble is, I would be on my own. Husband is not a camper! I know you must have limited space for gear, but a folding metal chair works great to do your Dutch oven cooking on. I use a foil roaster to set the pot on. The chair stays clean, so you can set on it other times.

I love your channel so much! I am 63 years old but I am going to takeoff and go tent camping because I’ve been inspired by you guys. I’m hoping that my experience is as at least half as nice as what I’ve seen on your channel. thank you so much for sharing it is an amazing opportunity to see this wonderful United States of America and I’m here in California we have beautiful stuff but Arkansas has beautiful stuff too anyhow thanks so much for sharing I look forward to seeing more.
I am in the process of selling my house, and just retired to live in a tent. I am so excited for you both and for myself as well.
Rain cures my PTSD. Such a beautiful sound.
“If you got the butter, use it.” is my life motto now
do it while your still young, when you get old everything changes (not for the better).
Heck yea!! 👏🏻
