This is really well played! Congratulations to you all. Good job that you resisted the temptation to play too fast! Nice balance between harmonies and 1st voice. I think Mark Saul might be proud!!!
It's in Mark Saul's Book - which I'm sure you can buy through your next music shop; or ask your teacher's best pal. I'd strongly advise against asking your P/M for the score! You'd only hear a torrent of tactless torments telling you that you're missing the GRACEnote in Amazing Grace; Ballsing up your Birls in the Braemar Gathering; playing Dubious Doublings in Dora Macleod & Frivolously doing F***knows what, to the Fittey Boatmen.
you guy need to post MUCH faster! in fact that video is over one year old now and it becomes even slower with the time...when we actually played it, it lasted exactly one minute! ;-)
@simplythebescht .... Sorry I thourgt that was the name.... Are You not the Welsh Piper who joined at Scandinavian Summerschool in Upperup once ? But Well done anyway.... You'r band do very well music :-)
I`d say they were playing it at about the right speed for themselves. It may not be as fast as the original but for these guys this is about the right speed. If they played it faster they would murder it and it would sound awful - they play at this speed and put in a good performance. Much better to slow it down a bit IMO. Well done guys.
Mr or Mrs Fucksake, you are indeed correct! This one is OK, but you are comparing sand with stone! This is a grade 4 band from Germany. I hope your comment concerning the drones refers to the end; where they were "trailing" - but, might that not have been caused by their having managed to get through all 8 pages of sheet music with only a few squeels? Which "slips" were you referring to? Everybody knows: Pipers don't wear ANYTHING under their kilts!!!!
@AngusOnkel ... thanks, but who's Walther??? I only know 1 Walther... from very aristocratic stock: Walther Wall-Carpeting. ... Hell, you need the bass up high to get rid of those squeels. OK Folks, next on the list is a MSR... March, Strathspey & Squeel! Nevertheless, Happy Listening...
Absolutely great! I love the tune! Good job, pretty well played!
Fantastic live version, congrats on a difficult piece.
Cooles Video. Freu mich schon auf das Konzert am 7 und 8 November in Bremen im Waldau-Theater. Weiter so!
Great stuff Vic!

We use to play david naill pipes and chanters.
Learning pipes is seriously hard but also a LOT of fun. Just know what you start with, 'cause a bagpipe is quite expensive. x_X

What brand of pipes are you using? They have a remarkable tone.

are you saying that the longer a video stays on youtube the longer the time lasts?
