*You’re
I will never sell my 6 speed manual ‘22 Taco-It’s near perfect.
My only complaint is the infotainment map system as it is squirrelly sometimes.
Great truck and love the manuals
I don’t know if it applies in this situation, but I think some of these cars are not getting fixed because they simply don’t have the employees who can pull off such a Repair. Probably not easy getting parts either…🤷🏻♂️
Valid point!
It’s far easier to let vehicles go to auction where the insurance companies recoup much of the “loss” and wash their hands of the deal. That and no car owner wants their smashed vehicle back after it’s been repaired. It’s a win win to total cars. Beyond that, if in fact they decide to repair a car, shops always find more damage and costs can skyrocket.
A professor in Canada thinks people are psychos for enjoying a louder exhaust... I stopped taking professors and Canada seriously many, MANY years ago. These are not serious people.
I thought it was a pretty funny article
I agree all these sheads will loud ass exhaust and rackety muscle cars think all that noise is impressive , no its trash and they think they something
I always knew I was psycho but it is reassuring when science backs it up. I don’t know what sadistic means, I didn’t have time to look it up because I was just too busy inflicting pain on others with my loud exhaust for my pleasure. 😃
😂😂😂 love it
Dude that was good, one of the best comments I have read in a long time.
If that was my 24 Land Cruiser I would 'want it' to be totaled...
The cost of the high tech in new vehicles affects us all as our insurance rates are steadily raised because of these high dollar losses.
Agree 100. That was the point I was trying to make. Very few caught on to that.
The older i get, the more i appreciate the overall quietness of a car, and i leave for work in the middle of the night so im kinda stuck with a stock exhaust if i don’t want my neighbors to hate me. I think psycho is a huge stretch, but let’s be honest, most of the ricers sound like absolute dogshit.
Yep as a content creator at dealerships and even in my little town it sucks when I'm trying to make videos are the loud cars make me have to edit it out. Or they blow by the house at 3am at 40 mph in first gear😂
Sam lol that car is wrecked 🤣the front half of it is probably $30k to replace
Didn't look that horrible to me. But I'm not a mechanic or a insurance adjuster.
Back in the day I think if I remember right. The frame had to be bent or it was not totaled.
Yep the frame of the cab pillars
I think the shape of used vehicles went down when leases took off. When people don’t own it or know they are getting rid of it abuse them.
Yep. The drive it like a rental mentality
At this rate, the most desirable truck of 2025 will be a ‘72 Dodge D100 with a slant 6: one of the last any driver could fix with common hand tools.
Spot on! I’m sticking with my naturally aspirated, ICE powered, manual transmission pick up truck!
Love the manuals!
I guess I am because I like the sound of a good v8 with dual exhaust straight pipes on my bike...
People want new , they just don’t want to pay the higher pricing
Probably very true
Guess I’m a Psycho! Love my MBRP! Not obnoxious, quiet in the cab but wakes up that V8 for sure. That person probably doesn’t even know what an exhaust is for and the benefits of a properly modified exhaust. Yes ricers, Harley’s, garbage with no exhausts at all all are dumb to me but I would never make the judgment that the operators are psycho. Pretty ironic a Canadian is making those remarks.
Agree on all points
Loud cars don't bother me until it's later at night and some douche uses the the stop sign as his make believe drag strip. Sounds like they're going a 100 but only going 10.
Agree 100
that frame is twisted and it caught fire. would you want to drive that wreck after a repair?
Missing the point. Point is it's an 75k price vehicle brand new. And if repairs cost enough to total it then our insurance agencies, the part costs, the repair labor rates, etc. Are way out of whack!
@@SamkoWorkShop Well some sucker paid $75k for a Toyota... that is the real problem... and I agree it affects all of our insurance premiums.
Or it could just be people like the sound of thier engines. Typically exhaust sound is something that may drawn a gearhead to a certain type of vehicle or engine configuration
That is very true
First thing I said to myself was oh that's a right off. The professors nowadays are a wee bit coo coo, so I'd take what they say with a 10lb bag of salt.
ps I live in Ontario.
Yep laughed when I read the loud exhaust article
Now that's funny, exhausting.
😂😂😂😂 best comment of the day so far!
@@SamkoWorkShop I can't remember the last time that I forgot something.
@@GerryHavican 😂😂
@@SamkoWorkShop I am not crazy, just twisted. It's not a funeral, make some noise. Perfect practice makes perfect. Never quit when you still have something to give.

So im psychotic along with half my friends. I’m ok with that.
😂😂and the other half of your friends will probably soon be the same by association. Life is good!
Yeah a woman would write something like that LOL however some people are gear junkies and love engines and mechanical stuff so to hear what it sounds like without government mandated parts is nice. With that being said I'm not a fan of loud exhaust on cars because of the drone it gets annoying however I have a relatively loud exhaust on my motorcycle but that is only to be seen and heard better so I don't get my ass ran off the road.. It also depends on the car or truck for that matter most exhaust systems are restrictive and if the vehicle in question is highly modified there is likely a good reason it doesn't have a very restricted muffler on it in all honesty a lot of people with fast cars actually prefer them to be quieter so it does not bring attention to you. Those are just my three cents though.
All fantastic points and great examples
That thing is obviously totaled. Lol. Come on.
if it was a 40k vehicle I could see it being totaled. Its an 70k vehicle though. cost vs value.
You need to see an eye doctor if you don't think that is totalled!
Guess I need to see an eye doctor than. Because the cost to repair that should not cost more than 70% of the value or whatever insurance companies use these days
