Presenting to you... KeepersAir The thinnest deck of cards in existence, so thin you can’t even see or feel them. We have taken a huge step forward to save the environment, no trees were cut down in the process of making this deck. As an added bonus, we have completely redesigned the tuck case to be non-existent!
Just want to let you know that I email Ellusionist and the green tuck case will be out in a near future. Check out the FLASH NINJA PROMO VIDEO. They feature the case at 1m30.
I got these from Ellusionist and they came with a tuck case ... I now have all 3 colors of the Keeper decks ... the red Masters is the only deck that is marked .... I like them 👍🏻👍🏻 ... thanks for the review David
The cases protects the cards. But the cases can get damaged in the process. Designs on cases are one of the factor that determines if i will buy the deck. Cases also help you identify the deck. What i hope for is for decks in future to have plastic cases, or at least cases that is water proof, tougher than paper, yet is able to retain the ink prints on it.
I actually really loved the whole concept. I go through decks one or more per week. These are perfect if you're going to a gig as a one time use. I've never had a deck last after a strolling gig so not having to pay the cost of a box that once I open will never use again is awesome. Just keep it in the cellophane till you're ready to use them.
I’m a big fan of tuck cases, but they might be on to something here. I think this concept could carry over into other areas of life, imagine traveling without a suitcase, all the seconds you could save by not having to open it up to remove items could really add up.
Such helpful info! You have to have a tuck case, that is just silly. Thanks so much! I like thin card too. I would be interested in hearing about other thin cards. Thanks again!
Ellusionist said that there is/would be a Sea Green Keepers deck available that has a tuck case. These are Reloads, decks you can use to store the cards replacing your old cards if they wear out but the box is okay or if you're working on a routine where you need to destroy/discard some cards. If you're gonna be using multiple decks in one night, this is also something you could use because you can simply replace the cards instead of discarding another tuck case. Like when you run out of ammo, you don't need to but another gun.
I hoped that the new ones would be much better... looks like I wasn't right at all I would love love love to have some red or blue keepers thought, those are for sure amazing ♥
They offer the greens in a tuck case now. The greens are still made by Cartamundi in Belgium and are still much thicker than the blues that are made by U.S. Playing Card Company. Personally, I love the color on the greens, but prefer the feel of the blues.
I recently bought a set of these green reloads, as well as a red marked, and a blue unmarked Keeper deck, from ellusionist's website. Initially I only opened the green ones and played with them for about a week. This was just before this Magicorthodoxy video came out, but I'd previously watched many videos on the red, marked deck from around the time of it's introduction. Many of the review vids on the red deck mentioned it's broken-in feel, right out of the box. When I finally opened my red box it felt pretty thick and stiff, and very much like the green deck. Then I finally opened blue deck. Sitting flat on a table it is only about 4/5ths the height of both my red and green decks. Hmmm? I questioned Ellusionist's customer service about the current manufacturing of the different colors. Here is the response on 2018 06 08: "It is a little all over the map right now but here is where we are. The red and green Keepers are being printed by Cartamundi. The blue we have in stock were printed by USPCC but once those are gone the blue will be printed at Cartamundi as well." So if you like the thinner USPCC version, get the blue deck fast. Soon all the colors will be on the thicker Cartamundi stock. I'm a novice magician so I figure practicing with stiffer stocks might make it easier when performing with any random deck. But if I'd have known, I probably wouldn't have paid the full $7.50 for the red, marked deck when it feels that same as the $3 green pack.
Yes, but the real point I wanted to make known is that the red, marked deck is now made by Cartamundi, and is on the thicker stock, making your red deck review outdated on the measurement and handling front. BTY, thanks for all the reviews you do.
From what I read and the original video post by ellusionist about the reloads. They are designed for people who already have the green keepers but have worn out (possibly due to the super thin stock). The reason there’s no tuck case for these is because you’re already supposed to have a green keepers tuck case.
However, with how thick they are, I would be curious to see how they fit in a standard tuck such as an 808 tuck or any of the thinner stock card tucks. Thanks for the great content as always :)
I love tuckcases but my big problem is they easily get worn out before my cards get worn out. If Ellusionist really wants to sell this refill idea they should come up with a permanent tuck case that feels premium and looks great. I would buy that.
I think this offering serves a purpose. It's abundantly clear that you don't care for this, which is perfectly fine, but I do like the idea. It wouldn't be quite the hobby it is if we all liked the same things ☺
Super mad about the tuck case. I was really excited when I saw these because I thought get a keepers deck that are different from the standard blue or red, and the green is a really nice color. Pretty upset that it doesn't come with a case because I'm not gonna buy them now. Feel like you should be able to decide whether you want tuck cases or not.
I didn't like the idea of removing the tuck case , because I like to keep my cards safe and don't want to ruin them and tuck case actually increases the life of the cards , great review!!!
Ad always, the best review on the interwebs. Over on r/playingcards, I speculated on why E would do the no tuck thing. Part of me thinks there’s something else going on lol. I just got these in the mail today and put them next to a deck of Reds and it’s insane. They still feel broken in out of the bo...erm...out of the cellophane? Lol Not a fan. Once I stopped fiddling with them I put them on a nightstand and my kitten knocked them over. I’m a big fan of Ellusionist and I LOVE the new color...but I’m not a fan of the stock. Thanks for a great review :)
So I bought a few of these because they we about $3 a deck.. However, I probably won’t use them for magic as pulling them out of a standard bike or tally tuck case instantly would raise spectator suspicion. That said it will be a nice deck for cardistry as I don’t own many green decks and have tons of empty tuck cases. Glad I watched the review before I actually opened one so I know what to expect.
Isn't the idea to 'reload' them into a box that you have already used all the cards from? One of the things Ellusionist mentions about the deck is it is a cheap alternative for the worker. If you are at a gig and run through cards by having them signed and given away or even ripped, this may be a good option. Then you can pick up more and reuse the tuck. Definitely not for everyone, but it serves a purpose.
maybe... but shouldn't they have released a green deck with a green tuck case and THEN offered a "reload" for when THAT deck is used up? I'm not sticking a green keepers deck into a red Bike tuck case - LOL
How do Shin Lims Regalias measure on thickness ... those are really thick as well ... they feel really nice to me ... But with all the foil and being cartamundi ... I assume they are some of the thickest decks as well?
The cartamundi stock atm is definitely unique. I got the copag 310s and they were super thick and yet super soft at the same time. It was odd. Maybe I'm just so used to doing all my moves with uspcc stock that they feel weird with something else. Don't like expert playing card Co either. I find the finish on their decks really greasy and slippery to the touch from out of the box to broken in. Scandalous to release a deck with no box. It can join the list of incomplete products I wouldn't buy along with a book with no covers.
I bought their new red keepers also made by cartamundi. I’m not sure what they did but the stock is awful. Firstly when they warp you get this weird bend where one corner bends upwards the other bends downwards. Secondly if the room gets too cold they’ll feel damp and clammy. The old stock was way better than this. But they did fix the marking though in case anyone is wondering.
how about fix the marking AND use USPCC stock = best of BOTH worlds. First David Blaine, now Ellusionist? Let's not sacrifice quality for affordability
Agreed. A lot of these other companies are really a hit or miss type of thing. Which is a shame because more and more decks are coming out of Cartamundi and buyers would expect a certain quality not a crap shot.
magicorthodoxy damn that statement made me sad a little bit. I’ve always valued how well manufactured their decks were and backed by the USPCC standard. I mean they even had the run of UV finished decks at one point that were a dream and still legends to this day. Why they would jump ship to adhere to the other magic trends bewilders me. The best handling deck for me still to date is series B Lions from DB and it was a magnificent win for USPCC and DB. If only USPCC could stick to that standard with all luxury decks we wouldn’t even need to try anything else.
So what I did was buy a regular keeper deck with a tuck. Since cards wear out much faster than the tuck, I use reloads as well... reloads I save the cost and I just put in a reload when my cards get unusable
meh... the audience wont care too much about that, and id buy high quality decks at a quarter of the original price and other deck prices, itll add up over time with money saved just for a different tuck case
If they fit in the tuck case of the blue keepers i guess i could switch between the blue and the green version, and just leave the cards that i'm not using in my room, or just buy a cheap plastic case on ebay :)
I am still not sure what to make of this... they are really affordable but the missing tuck is just... idk... only reason i can see me purchasing one of these (other than for collecting purposes) is if: a) i need really affordable cards - b) i don't want them to be bikes (for whatever reason) and c) plan on burning through several decks ... d) don't mind storing them in a random spare tuck case ... that's a whole lot of ifs...
that's what i use bikes for though... they are affordable get the job done and people (even outside the US) seem to be more familiar with them... i get a brick of bikes every so often for exactly that purpose.. AND they come with tuck cases... how crazy is that? ^^ :P
Seems like such a hassle though. I doubt its hard to create the design for the tuck because the last 2 were just recolors. Maybe this is an example of Ellusionist simply wanting try something different to make them stand out
I would like to have the option to buy a really nice custom card clip with a deck already in and be able to buy these loose as a refill for it, ellusionist if you read this please do it 😉
The cost attracted me to them, but the missing tuck pushed me away. But they words Reloads, indicates me that there may be another product to put these cards into....
magicorthodoxy I agree... That's why you don't buy these... Unless you have a extra tuck... Which in my experience is hard, coz in India humidity makes it ultra important to keep the tuck. And I am not gonna buy them coz bikes are still cheaper
I just saw Ellusionist web that the red ones are being made by cartamundi too and have the marking sistem easier to read. Can you make a video comparing the two diferent red decks?
Very strange, this no tuck box concept. I went to their website and found that the decks cost $3.50 each for two. If you buy three decks, your per deck cost drops to $3.33. At six, the price drops to $3.15 per. Buy 12 decks and the cost drops to $2.98 per deck. The site does not allow you to calculate shipping--at least not easily--until you actually make the purchase, so I don't know what the add-on cost would be. The kicker is that I can go to any number of stores near me and purchase standard Bicycles for $3.00 plus 19¢ state sales tax. And I do get a tuck case. One of Ellusionist's claims is that these cards are cheap enough to buy so you can destroy them. Yet, Bicycles are still cheaper by a bit and more convenient to both purchase and store, so what's the point? If you like these cards for cardistry or whatever, fine. Just buy an empty tuck box somewhere.
magicorthodoxy David--I'm the guy you had the brief conversation with about "write what you know and what you don't know, find out about." I just changed my UA-cam name to my magic persona, but I'm the same guy. I have a question for you. I just opened an Instagram account to try to win one of your giveaways. However, I am totally unfamiliar with IG. When you mention posting to the wall, is that an IG wall? If so, how do you post to it? I can't seem to find anything about it. Or are you referring to a Facebook wall? Please help! I'm quite befuddled!!! Thanks!
IG wall yes - you can take a screen shot and repost it - that's the easiest (crop it first) or use an app metro.co.uk/2018/01/14/how-to-repost-on-instagram-7228498/
Give me a tuck case or give up the reload act. Imagine a world where Porper clips and tucks combined to create the ultimate tuck... Then and only then would reloads be successful
I love the idea. I have many, many decks that sit around my house, my office, and my car, that don’t necessarily make it back into the tuck case. Not deliberate; just happens. For the money, it works for me. And, re: the thickness, I don’t mind it. I can handle any deck. Great video, but I disagree overall.
oh I like thick cards, i'm not saying it makes a difference one way or the other. I'm just informing people in case they thought it would be "the same" as the previous release
@@magicorthodoxy okay good, I was scared😂😂 Also could you make a video, or link a good one, to the marking system on the red keepers? I don't own any marked cards so I'm not sure how to figure it out
magicorthodoxy not really but I like them being good for environment however I think they should release a tuck version so you can reuse the tuck on new decks
magicorthodoxy I have the originals and saw your review. Oooo, new Keepers. If I get them I guess they stay in the cellophane and go right on the shelf. Nice to hear directly from you. I enjoy your content and used your “DYI magic kit” video to build one for my youngest granddaughter. Good stuff!
Leave It to the stellar Creative Team at Ellusionist to come up with this Brain Trust of an Idea. Honestly, No Tuck Case? Now all they need to figure out is how to get rid of those pesky deck seals. Oh Wait, I think that they just managed to kill two birds with one stone without actually even realizing it, No Tuck Case, No Deck Seals. LMFAO What's Next? Biodegradable Playing Cards? Decks Printed With Invisible Ink? Maybe they will just skip all the fancy stuff and somehow manage to print all 52 Cards on one playing card, think of all the money they'll save on that one. The only downside to these for me, is that I love the feel and thinness of the original Keepers and as much as I love the new Green Color, I won't be picking any up for my collection or daily use because of them now being on the Thickest End of the The Magic Orthodoxy Scale not to mention that they are Tuck Free (Which sounds like something one might hear on RuPaul's Drag Race). Anywho, Sorry for my little rant there David, as I still haven't slept yet due to a very late, or very early stint at more UA-cam Pre-Production Work. Hope everyone has an awesome Hump Day Plus One. We'll Catch You On The Flipside. #Darkest52Cards
I think the goal is to provide cheap decks to replace your worn out decks - or decks that are missing cards, but you still have a tuck case to put them in
The bottom line is, we'll... the bottom line. Not many people are going to buy these without a tuck case. If they (Ellusionist) really care about sales they should figure out a way to provide an option for tuck cases. I bought a lot of what I suppose is considered version 1, both red and blue. I don't even know what the difference is with the red and blue version 2. I've only heard them called version 2 on a sites other than Ellusionist's. The only reason I would reread the description , which might indicate design differences, is if the picture of the deck itself was different. Now with the green version (v3?) we have a product that is obviously no longer Keepers. Cards are expensive and regardless of the color of a particular design all other qualities of the deck should remain the same. If not they should be renamed or otherwise obviously marketed as a different deck of cards. (I just went back to the site and it appears they have amended description of the red keepers to make the changes more obvious. But I still wouldn't have seen that because I would have assumed I was just purchasing the same red Keepers I previously ordered.) Thanks to Magic Orthodoxy I didn't fall prey to this marketing scam.
I don't think it's a "scam" - they will release a green deck with a tuck (i've heard rumors) and if they do - then you can "reload" these cards inside once your deck wears out. Although typically if my cards are worn out - then so is my tuck case - time will tell
mate... they are called reloads for a reason. your meant to already have a case, and when your deck is ruined or just too used and expired, you buy these for a lower price to pop in the same tuck and continue on
to be fair, I think "E" isn't against tuck cases, I think they just made these as a replacement deck for when your deck wears out, but you still have your ol tuck case
Nope, no tuck case, no sale for me. I'd rather spend the extra few bucks for a nice tuck case. The only thing I would say is that if someone just had to have these, and already has a card clip, then maybe they wouldn't be so bad.
magicorthodoxy agreed on all accounts 👌🏻 hey if you have a second o have a video going over the difference in USPCC, EPC and Cartamundi that I would love your feedback on!
disappointed that there is no tuck. HOWEVER, $3.50 for the Cartamundi b9 stock?! This may be my new practice deck. screw the tuck. P.s. I have a brick of the marked red keepers "reloads" and they come with a tuck.
I think that maybe they did this deck like this because of some of the backlash that they got from the way they promoted the 1st keepers, they were like, know what, we will make a 2nd deck thicker than their beloved Bee stock & watch it selll. Then with this deck they were like let make it even thicker, don't give 'em a tuck box & tell them the most bogus reasons why & Chu-ching!! Just a theory.😆
I think it was just bad promotion, they want to print cheaper decks from Cartamundi in the hopes that once you throw away your deck, you'll keep your original tuck and "reload" these into it
magicorthodoxy one question. In the review it sounded quite negative that the green keepers are thick but is that a bad thing? Also are they softer than the blues/reds?
If you could buy a sea green green keepers deck that came with a tuck case, I think it’d be a cool idea to then only have to replace the deck without also buying the box. That said, that’s not at all what they did. Right off the bat when this was announced I was skeptical. Rightly so apparently.
The B9 finish is starting to get on my nerves ... With USPCC every deck felt slightly different with stock/finish more customizable. It made me want to get different decks. A pair of NOCs felt different than a D&D deck, or a Rounders, or Keepers, or Virts, or a Cherries deck, etc etc. With Cartamundi’s B9 however *every* deck feels exactly the same. A cheap pair of $3 Copag310’s feel exactly the same as say a ‘custom’ DM Madisonist deck....And this - IMO - sucks balls.
The 310s are cheap because it's not a custom deck. USPCC does this also - they have off the shelf (non-custom) decks that sell for less $$$ - in truth USPCC uses the same paper and finish for all their decks as well - they just have different quality controls for custom and non custom decks which is why custom decks feel nicer. All custom decks (Madison / Ellusonist) have to go through a second distributor as well - which is another reason why they cost more. When COPAG or USPCC sells direct to the customer - you save money
magicorthodoxy Think you’re missing my point - a $3 pair of Bikes and, for ex., an Orbit v4 are *worlds* apart in terms of feel/handling. A Copag310 and a $15 Madisonist deck however are exactly, and I mean *exactly*, the same.
Right. That's what I'm saying. USPCC "adds" a Q1 control to custom cards, which is why they feel better and cost more. They print thousands of decks a day, so they don't add a strict control on their off the shelf cards for the public. Cartamundi does NOT print as many decks as USPCC a day, so they can give more care to their print run. To compare apples to apples, you'd need to compare a deck of Cartamundi "off the shelf in a store" to Copag310 - i'd think you'd find they are VASTLY different.
This is the most ridiculous thing I've heard of? No tuck case?? I wouldn't even believe it if someone on the street told me they were selling them without a tuck case. The OG keepers are one of my go to decks for practicing new slights because of the thinness but to turn It around and make them thick? I'm at a complete loss. I want to handle them so bad just to see what they feel like, but no way In hell will i support this venture by purchasing a deck. Wtf......
I'm sure they just wanted to see what all the hype was about - and to test out the Cartamundi stock with one of their own designs on their customer base - time will tell if it was a sound idea
You probably ordered the "Green Keepers" not the "reloads" like it says in the TITLE. Did you buy yours in 2018 when they were released and this video was uploaded?
@@magicorthodoxy no I got them yesterday cards measure 0.012" thick. Whole deck with jokers is 0.668" thick but there soft so they feel thinner...how thin were the originals

I bet they have an ingenious idea they just haven't told us about yet.
Same. Put them in my cart and was about to purchase but never mind...

awesome !!!

they fit in a standard bike tuck - I checked
I got the blue keepers and those are some nice looking cards, they look pretty good in green too, but I would really like to see a black version :)
I tested it out today - they will "RELOAD" into a standard Bike box
I love tuckcases but my big problem is they easily get worn out before my cards get worn out. If Ellusionist really wants to sell this refill idea they should come up with a permanent tuck case that feels premium and looks great. I would buy that.

true that !!! No shade on Ellusionist or Adam Wilbur - love em both
magicorthodoxy maybe we should look into making tuck-boxes without cards! 😉
I'd *NEVER* buy a deck without a case, I have a feeling they will start offer cases for these as a seperate item though.
I think they just sold the cart before the horse this time around
I have order a brick. Not worried about tuck case.
AWESOME !!!! Just "reload" them into an old tuck case if you can find one large enough
magicorthodoxy Yes I could use the new Daniel Madison tuck case.

Expert / TPCC has gotten a lot better recently
"E" was one of those companies that I could say "They've never left USPCC" and now I can't say that anymore.
magicorthodoxy damn that statement made me sad a little bit.
Since cards wear out much faster than the tuck, I use reloads as well... reloads
I save the cost and I just put in a reload when my cards get unusable
yea, but why can't they be the same color as the tuck?
magicorthodoxy Yeah, I will give you that. The second I get my hands on a green tuck... these cards become great
agreed // cart before horse Ellusionist !!!!!
magicorthodoxy You said it
meh... the audience wont care too much about that, and id buy high quality decks at a quarter of the original price and other deck prices, itll add up over time with money saved just for a different tuck case
Nice and funny review David!
:D
I like it a bit because it is cheap. I can print my own tuckcases so I dont mind. But I also mis the design element a tuckcase has
:D
I love tuck cases. And really like your videos.
thx
This deck looks 🔥🔥 but i love tuck cases and congratulation for hitting 20k subs👍
I love tuck cases 2 - no shade to Ellusionist - love em also
Awesome cards i love tuck cases
ME 2 !!!!
If they fit in the tuck case of the blue keepers i guess i could switch between the blue and the green version, and just leave the cards that i'm not using in my room, or just buy a cheap plastic case on ebay :)
they do fit - maybe that's why they are called RELOADS ?????
Yeah makes sense :)
I think that's what their intention was - to make really affordable cards that you didn't mind getting wet, writing on or bending
that's what i use bikes for though... they are affordable get the job done and people (even outside the US) seem to be more familiar with them... i get a brick of bikes every so often for exactly that purpose.. AND they come with tuck cases... how crazy is that? ^^ :P
Question, are the red keepers the only ones that are maked?
so far
Thanks for the measurement. Just the question I had.
:D
I guess you could use those Patrick Kun clear case thingys
or we could wait until the Green Keepers gets officially released and then just "reload" that deck when the cards get worn out
Seems like such a hassle though. I doubt its hard to create the design for the tuck because the last 2 were just recolors. Maybe this is an example of Ellusionist simply wanting try something different to make them stand out
I would like to have the option to buy a really nice custom card clip with a deck already in and be able to buy these loose as a refill for it, ellusionist if you read this please do it 😉
or a non tearable tuck case ....
The cost attracted me to them, but the missing tuck pushed me away. But they words Reloads, indicates me that there may be another product to put these cards into....
That's what I am hoping, but you should release "the thing" first - and THEN reload it. You don't buy bullets first and THEN a gun
magicorthodoxy I agree... That's why you don't buy these... Unless you have a extra tuck... Which in my experience is hard, coz in India humidity makes it ultra important to keep the tuck. And I am not gonna buy them coz bikes are still cheaper
magicorthodoxy BTW, I have ordered copag 310 right after you review video
Weird case with that tuck case. Mybe deck's holder?
:D
I think your order should come with one tuck case, that way you have something to reload!
GOOD IDEA !!!!
just ordered 4 of these :)
NOICE
Love the look of the cards, but if I purchase them I will jave to buy a cheap deck to have a tuck case for them.
Hold out - I hear a tuck case is in the works !!!
If you bought one of these decks, when they came in the mail would they have at least plastic rap around them?
yep, non biodegradable, landfill, hippie hating plastic - LOL
I love how they try to get a solution to a problem that never existed before.
no it did exist! Bathroom water and wasting seconds of precious time
I just saw Ellusionist web that the red ones are being made by cartamundi too and have the marking sistem easier to read. Can you make a video comparing the two diferent red decks?
if I get a deck - I sure will
Very strange, this no tuck box concept.
GREAT COMMENT !!!!
magicorthodoxy David--I'm the guy you had the brief conversation with about "write what you know and what you don't know, find out about." I just changed my UA-cam name to my magic persona, but I'm the same guy.
Then and only then would reloads be successful
ooh, I want to go to there
magicorthodoxy me too brother...me too
Like the green.
Green is so HOT right now
magicorthodoxy yeah it's really cool.
Wait I just bought some keepers, is it just the reloads or the actual deck that doesn't have the case
Only the reloads don't have a case
@@magicorthodoxy okay good, I was scared😂😂
Also could you make a video, or link a good one, to the marking system on the red keepers? I don't own any marked cards so I'm not sure how to figure it out
no need - a google search easily finds it vimeo.com/183351960
Wanna get soooooo many of these
so you "hate tuck cases?" LOL
magicorthodoxy not really but I like them being good for environment however I think they should release a tuck version so you can reuse the tuck on new decks
A cardboard box that's recyclable, compared to plastic shrink wrap is not ... better for the environment? Right? What am I missing?
magicorthodoxy forgot about plastic bit🤦🏼♂️ stupid me
I'm going to buy them and stick them in a tuck case just to mock ellusionist
LOL
Are these marked as well?
nope
Not one reason is good. Are we supposed to carry the cards in a Ziplock bag?
No, they want you to stick it into a tuck case you already own, when your other cards wear out
They won't fool me.
Why not just a plain green tuck to save money? I agree, you should have a tuck case.
I guess they want us to "reload" these in a tuck case we have lying around
magicorthodoxy I have the originals and saw your review. Oooo, new Keepers. If I get them I guess they stay in the cellophane and go right on the shelf. Nice to hear directly from you. I enjoy your content and used your “DYI magic kit” video to build one for my youngest granddaughter. Good stuff!
AWESOME !!!
Case is mandatory ...
MANDATORY !!!!!
But I still wouldn't have seen that because I would have assumed I was just purchasing the same red Keepers I previously ordered.)
Thanks to Magic Orthodoxy I didn't fall prey to this marketing scam.
I don't think it's a "scam" - they will release a green deck with a tuck (i've heard rumors) and if they do - then you can "reload" these cards inside once your deck wears out. Although typically if my cards are worn out - then so is my tuck case - time will tell
They dont have tuckcases, but for half the price it is worth it
2 decks > 1 deck and a tuckcase
stick a rubber band around it
absolutely a mistake by ellusionist on not making tuck case
or ... an ingenious idea and we will all discover their brilliance to our dismay
magicorthodoxy haha yeahh
mate... they are called reloads for a reason. your meant to already have a case, and when your deck is ruined or just too used and expired, you buy these for a lower price to pop in the same tuck and continue on
so I stick a "green" deck into a red or blue tuck? How tacky. Reloads should be red or blue the color of the most common decks
How do they come in then?
Plastic cellophane
magicorthodoxy ez keep them in the cellophane. No that was a stupid idea though.
Kazz They are individually thrown at you by the mailman as you struggle to catch every one of them.
scorpius319 sounds fun.
Come on I just bought 12 of these yesterday and now someone decides to review it.
I'm sure it'll be great !!!!
JesseG the fantastic magician 😂 😂 😂
What
I think ellusionist will start to sell tuck case reloads now :)
GREAT IDEA !!!
GREEN! but there's no tuck case😑
Maybe one day ..... maybe one day
magicorthodoxy i hope so
tuck cases are half the reason I buy playing cards. Won’t be buying them anytime soon. Great review!
to be fair, I think "E" isn't against tuck cases, I think they just made these as a replacement deck for when your deck wears out, but you still have your ol tuck case
How can I contact you ?
you just did
magicorthodoxy privately? Please?
facebook, twitter ... instagram ... youtube PM .... take your pick
magicorthodoxy I contacted you by Instagram
I replied
Nope, no tuck case, no sale for me. I'd rather spend the extra few bucks for a nice tuck case. The only thing I would say is that if someone just had to have these, and already has a card clip, then maybe they wouldn't be so bad.
Or maybe when your red keepers are trash - RELOAD these in the old box
Lmao...that's a good one. I wonder if the new ones would fit in an old keepers tuck case, if they are that much thicker.
ooh good point
Green wheel, green keeper, we'll see what else would go green now.
It's not easy being green
Aulia Rahmat Green wheel?
scorpius319 Yep, Green Wheel by DKNG, from Art of Play. You might wanna check it, dude
the V2 Keepers are the copag b9 stock and have a tuck AND they have a reader back so.. Reloads = Nope
meh .... no shade to Ellusionist, love Adam Wilbur and all them - but I won't be buying any future NO TUCK decks LOL
magicorthodoxy agreed on all accounts 👌🏻 hey if you have a second o have a video going over the difference in USPCC, EPC and Cartamundi that I would love your feedback on!
I don't care about the tuck case, so I will just put these in a Bycicle Standard tuck case
so you agree that cards NEED a tuck case ... thanks
magicorthodoxy Yeah I do but I like the fact that the cards are now less expensive
I think Ellusionist got the wrong end of the stick when they planned a green deck... No packaging isn't going to make hipsters buy them!
oh you think the target audience was hipsters? Interesting .....
disappointed that there is no tuck. HOWEVER, $3.50 for the Cartamundi b9 stock?! This may be my new practice deck. screw the tuck. P.s. I have a brick of the marked red keepers "reloads" and they come with a tuck.
yes, it's a great practice or "throw away" deck
I prefer tuck cases... not sure I like the idea of presenting the cards to the audience without a tuck case.
:D
I think that maybe they did this deck like this because of some of the backlash that they got from the way they promoted the 1st keepers, they were like, know what, we will make a 2nd deck thicker than their beloved Bee stock & watch it selll. Then with this deck they were like let make it even thicker, don't give 'em a tuck box & tell them the most bogus reasons why & Chu-ching!! Just a theory.😆
I think it was just bad promotion, they want to print cheaper decks from Cartamundi in the hopes that once you throw away your deck, you'll keep your original tuck and "reload" these into it
Ellusionist is making Green Keepers with a tuck case...but that was just an instagram comment soo
That would be wonderful
magicorthodoxy one question. In the review it sounded quite negative that the green keepers are thick but is that a bad thing? Also are they softer than the blues/reds?
not negative at all ... just informing that the greens are not at all thin like the previous releases. Nothing wrong with thick cards
Mejby they are super quality and don't get dirty long Time and without tuck case they wont to show of thet
Yep !!!
I have made case my self so I don't destroy case cuz they are so good
I have these in a plastic clear case right now
Next is they'll release a deck of playing cards with no playing cards, only tuck case. To match with these sea green HAHA
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY !!!!
If you could buy a sea green green keepers deck that came with a tuck case, I think it’d be a cool idea to then only have to replace the deck without also buying the box. That said, that’s not at all what they did. Right off the bat when this was announced I was skeptical. Rightly so apparently.
I dived right in !!! LOL New deck? Ellusionist yes please !!!!
They want you to make your own.
Lol
Are thy marked?
nope. If a deck is marked I will tell you
I heard that they are releasing the tuck case next month. They will go for 25$ each. Lol just kidding. No tuck case is a real turn off for me.
maybe they will correct this soon with a surprise release
magicorthodoxy they will release the case in the near future. They feature it in the FLASH NINJA promo video.
Why aren’t youtube giving me My notifications
They're turned off?
magicorthodoxy nope
The he'll ya talking about ..of course they have a tuck case
Mine I ordered from Amazon from Elusionist ...tuck case in plastic, and plastic sealed cards in the tuck case
I didnt measure them back in 2018 sorry
If you respect your deck, you need a tuck case .....
I guess we're supposed to "reload" these into an old tuck after your cards wear out.
thank u! u saved me from buying those lol
this is an old review, they come with a box NOW www.ellusionist.com/green-keepers-playing-cards.html
No tuck case is just stupid imo
Yea they have tucks now I'm sure
magicorthodoxy I hope.
I won't buy them
but what if it came with a tuck ???
