Often thought to be a blend of spices, Allspice is actually a small fruit like Peppercorns. Let's take a look at this special seasoning...

Amazing spice! I suggest getting authentic Jamaican Allspice berries, I have to go to a spice dealer. I'm not sure if other kinds come from other places or if my spice dealer just has really good quality spices but this is a great versatile spice (can overdo it be careful) that I use in most of the things listed and much more. I'm about to make a pumpkin bread with spiced icing: whip 1 block cream cheese, 1 stick butter, with sugar and toasted and ground spices: allspice, Ceylon cinnamon, dried lemon and orange peel, pinch nutmeg :)

Add a dash of it to eggs. We use it like Black pepper to eggs in the Middle East.

Mexican allspice is better. It also still has ties to traditional indigenous uses, which Jamaica certainly cannot claim.

Hello. I really love your channel and it helped me a lot through my journey of switching into healthier food. I have a question about bone broth, a lot of people are talking about it but it is not mentioned in your channel. I am hesitating about adding it to my diet. I am thinking that it might be better options. Can it be replaced in your opinion? What are the food you recommend for healthier bones and joints?
I always watch your videos and I like the research and all in depth information. My health life started to change after I started adding the good things. Thank you and God bless you!

We try and stick to mostly plant based foods to avoid controversy, but acknowledge that bone both is indeed popular.

Would love to know your source for this. It's just as likely it originates in mesoamerica and was introduced to the carribean by other indigenous people.
