We have one of these. Very nice. They sell it as a large kit of stuff or individually the pieces. Our bag opens on the end. Good idea for safety. Nice video.
These are good nav lights. If they had a usb rechargable battery pack they would have been perfect. I use them on a 12 ft ab. I used a go pro mount stuck to the engine cowl for my stern and the tri color at the bow. They get frequent use the batteries last long enough and they are well built. After about 3 years use the stern light cuts out with the shock from the chop. I fixed it with some cardboard shims.
Just my thoughts, I would`ve put the bow lite off to one of the sides instead of right in the middle of the bow. Because you can angle the lite around. Also that is right where everyone steps when getting in the dinghy so they will be stepping on the mount for the lite.
I was looking for a light to use on our dinghy when we charter, so there can be no permanent installation as we will be moving it from dinghy to dinghy. I bought this light with a suction cup for $105 off of Amazon. I received it yesterday and I plan on returning it First of all, the suction cup can only be used on flat surfaces so it won't work on the majority of the dinghies we get with the charter. Secondly, it appears from reviews that there is a defect on the board and wired connections fail. Third, I've seen many reviews where they say the company is totally unresponsive.
I have purchased three of the Navisafe lights only to have each one fail within a year of use. When not in use, I keep the light in a heavy‘ziplock’ bag with the batteries removed. Navisafe has been unresponsive to my complaints.
I would recommend using Lithium batteries as we hate the normal ones leaking all the time these days and you will probably stow it for weeks at a time and they will get you...
For a stern light, I suggest using a regular headlamp facing backwards. It might not meet the strict USCG requirements but I seriously doubt that anyone would be cited.
For their price they look pretty crappy. AAA batteries, really? I'd expect LiPo with USB charging. It's just some LEDs with a battery in a plastic housing. And do you really have full nav lights on a rubber dinghy? I go with a headlamp or a white camping lantern.
Totally agree - we'll pass on this feedback to Navisafe. We've found our favorite rechargeable handheld spotlight and it would be amazing if we didn't have to carry batteries for these dinghy lights either.
@@catamaransupply9754 I've had this set and the led lights don't burn much power. I guess if you forget to shut them off they'd not last as long but I did that too and they still lasted our entire season. USB port would be good but it's another entrance point for water. these things are very water tight. My humble opinion.
Cool ,will be looking forward to see how well these last 👍🏼

Good stuff! How did they hold up? Greetings from NYC!
I've got the same setup on my Highfield.
After almost a year with these lights on your dinghy, are they worth it?

what other kits are available ? i have seen a solar powered kit . If any one has a link please send it
I wonder the same? not much choice out here. I probably will try the Attwoods first.
Be nice if the outboard had a light on back 👍🙄😁
you could easily just put one of the mounts on top of the outboard for the stern light
brother the best is Bengar Lonako
Had one of the lights for my kayak. Used it 5 times and it would no longer work. I emailed the company and they did nothing. I highly don’t recommend.
No good, reason I purchased 2 sets and they both did the same thing. The lenses cloud out
Is it just me or does sanding an inflatable boat sound like a bad idea?
That is how you attach any sort of repair patch or accessory patch to an inflatable. Hypalon or pvc
Learn something new everyday.
Are they still working?
They were but we switched over to the mantus solar powered Nav light
@@TulasTechTalk thanks
Would of been nice if USB charged

Terrible product mine didn’t work out of the box and they did nothing to help the problem. Absolute waste.
